Loved the layers of ink, the addition of the collage pieces, the stamp marks and pops of color. It is gorgeous! Good job! As always thanks for sharing your process!
@@swl9270 I’m trying not to buy anymore supplies but I can’t help it! I’ve actually had that paper for over seven years so that doesn’t count. Haha! 😍😂😂
@@MixedMediaArtByTrina 🤣good for you on the paper thing! I just checked and Temu has 100 sheets of A4 for 7 bucks and change. But I know me tho…I like letting the paint and ink run…
Hi lovely lady, very excited my roll of paper arrived this morning yippee. I see it's 2 ply so I'll experiment 😁 OMG I tried to do one of your pieces, looks so simple, BUT using the ink pads not that easy, so I just did what we do and carried on, layer more layers then thought, hell no so brought the neutral paint out and sort of brought it back with a few hefty brushes 🤣🤣🤣 anyway let me watch your videos now and see what "magnificent " piece of work I produce...I love your work sooooo much thank you 💐💐💐💐BM
I’m so happy you pushed through and created something you like! Getting through that ‘ugly stage’ is sometimes the hardest part. Thanks for watching. 😍
I just recently found you. But I'm addicted.🤩 I'm learning so much! I have a few small gel plates & an 8x10. None have ever been opened.👀 I dabble in a lot of "things". I really want to try collage, & my gel plates, of course. I love that you've discovered the matte photo paper with Distress inks. It's a game-changer in so many arts & crafts, imo. I'm in the middle of "organizing/reorganizing" my small space that has taken over my bedroom. Lol! I need to hurry up so I have creative space! Because, you have really inspired me to get my stuff out & have a play. I love this piece! Once you laid the mat-frame down, I see a beautiful desert landscape. Truly beautiful.💗 Ty so much for bringing us along on your adventures.💙💙💙
Love hearing your thought process; thank you for letting us into your artist's mind! May I ask why you spray the glue-on things with water? (Also, which side of them do you spray?) Thanks!
Good question! The water helps to make the paper transparent. I’ve tried not using water and the paper is quite visible. I spray the back of the paper. Hope that helps! 😍
I love everything you make❤. Do you think the same techniques could be done on canvases? I don’t really mean the inks but the way you use the gel plate to stamp onto the paper.
Great question. You definitely could use the gelli plate on un stretched canvas of canvas panels. It might be difficult to get enough pressure on a stretched canvas because it’s flexible. You could turn it over and apply pressure from the back. 🤔 I think it’s worth a try. Hope that helps. 😍
Yummy, what kind of paper are you printing on ? Have tried the process on a paper with gesso and it smeared when I glued other papers on with mate medium.
Love your work. I have been told not to use fotopaper with the gelli plate, because it might get stuck and ruine the plate. Have you ever experienced that?
I love your “baby stamp”!!! The one you first used that looked a bit like a tree line! Can you give the link to it from Amazon please?🙏🏻. Thanks so much. This is absolutely my favorite piece you have made so far!!!😍
@@MixedMediaArtByTrina so funny, I saw those, had them in my cart and thought “nah, hers was much cooler!”🤣. It’s the way you use them huh? Thanks so much!

Thank you so much for always trying new things! I love how you use paper masks with your stencils/stamps!
You are so welcome! Paper masks are life! Haha. Thanks for watching.😍
Wonderful techniques. Thank you for sharing your process and knowledge.

Love the finished piece -- very cohesive narrative. The final touch of tinted matte medium provided the perfect pop. 👏👏👏
Thank you! The matte medium really brought it together for me. 😍

Thanks so much! I had fun making this piece.🥰
Love your positive attitude! Great happy work.
Thanks so much! 😍
I love the blue green section applied with the plastic. Very water-colory effect.
Thanks! The inks can give a watercolor effect. So versatile. 😍

Thanks my friend! I’m starting to learn how to work with these inks. Still more exploring to go. 😍
@@MixedMediaArtByTrina I’m going to try and refrain from purchasing this paper and the o l pads. You, my friend, might be an enabler🤣
Won’t let me correct the ink pad issue🙄
