Making cut paper collage art can be a long process. I’ve been working in the medium of collage art a long time, and even now still can get overwhelmed and feel like quitting. But, when I approach the collage art work in steps, the feeling of overwhelm is less likely to occur. Here I discuss the ways in which I break down the collage process into manageable chunks that can be done in any order at any time, whenever YOU have time. I hope these ideas are helpful to you too!

Take a picture if you take a break. Wind, cats, etc., happen, and having that layout on your phone is a lifesaver.

I love the Pantone book you recommended a few weeks ago. I’m still trying to figure out the proportions though. How do you use the proportion recommendations?
I mostly ignore the proportions tbh. But I think you are meant to use mostly the largest color (of the circle) and add less of the other two.
