My BEST dragon scales so far? What do you think - please comment below .
The effect is just what I was hoping for - especially how it spreads right to the edges of the mold - so close to perfecting this technique...but always room for improvement.
My hope is that almost anyone can follow my video tutorial & achieve close to the same results on the first try!

Thank you. I just came across your channel and I’m going through the videos! Question: why the translucent color around the edge? I guess it acts as clear with a little color, but why not use it throughout? Or at all? Why this color and clear? I’m sorry, I’m new to this and I’m trying to understand what goes on and why. Thanks so much for sharing your experience and experiments.

I’m getting frustrated with my makes and I’ve followed this completely. The first time it flash cured and considering I’ve used this mould a lot of times and that’s never happened I was baffled by it. I’ve just tried again, with no flash cure but it still hasn’t turned out right. I’m now wondering if it’s because I use a 2-1 resin. I’ll try that next. Determined!! X

Hello sorry to hear about your troubles I have not been able to get dragon scales with 2-1 resin only 1-1 the mica seems to just fall to the bottom and not move when I tried with 2-1 😞🐉

Hi ,so what colour creates the veins/ crackles? Interested to know for my colour matching . Is it the tint or mica ? Thank you 😊

Hello it’s the mica that creates the dragon scales best to use two contrasting colours, you can create the effect with the same colour l find if you are doing it with one colour it is best to split the pour the normal way (as if it’s two contrasting) that way you can still get scales it takes practice to get the effect you want. Hope that helps you 😀🐉

Hello from Mumbai, India. Just saw this video and have to thank you for such a detailed explanation. I have a question-did you use low or medium viscocity resin??? Would love to hear from you. Thanks again for sharing your method.
