Hope you all are having a nice Monday afternoon. This is an evening visit to Gettysburg battlefield at Picketts charge location. Fall time 2023. Thanks for watching
I love your videos ..love from Ireland ! In addition to the tens of thousands of Irish in the Union and Confederate infantries, Ireland produced 18 generals during the Civil War-12 for the Union and 6 for the Confederacy-more than any other foreign country
Grew up in New Oxford, PA 9 miles east of there....Every field trip in school was there...Every chance I get to visit I find myself sitting on the rocks on Little Round Top for Hours, Been a while since I live in Louisiana.
Great video. Thanks for sharing. If you are ever down near Chattanooga/Chickamauga I would love to meet you. You could make a couple of those type of videos down here.
My great-great grandfather was there at Chickamauga/Chattanooga, Missionary Ridge, etc. as a Union soldier, 103rd Regiment, Illinois Infantry...was a Wagon Master/Ambulance driver. Have visited some of the landmarks and memorials there while living just north of Chattanooga in Middle Valley...
P.S. I'm glad your going to be doing some more visits, etc to some other historic Civil War battle areas - I'm not much able to get out very often these days and so your episodes here are not only interesting & entertaining, but they are helping to cheer me up some. Thanks, Mike...
Thank you for taking us to visit the Gettysburg battlefield. I've never had an opportunity to get there myself. It must be almost some spooky vibes just standing there? My great-great grandfather was a Wagon Master for the Union army, 103rd Illinois infantry, "K" Company. He was mostly with Sherman in the south. Was wounded in the left leg with confederate buckshot while running ammunition to the front. What a terrible, terrible chapter in our American history. Take care...

Neer been on the Battlefield at night Just close your eyes, take a deep breath & transport yourself back through time soldier!
I was cutting it close. They don't like people out there after sunset. It's just my favorite time there when sun is going down. Thanks Steve
