YES!!!!!! This is the first piece of comedy I showed my oldest daughter. We still say "JK" when we want to mess with each other. Inside father and daughter jokes are the best.

You need to watch Bert and Tom's dance off. They were both doing tours, and Bert made a dance video promotion taunting Tom. Then Tom made a promotion from his Tour taunting Bert. It is 100% one of the funniest things with Tom and Bert going at each other. They have a podcast 2 bears, one cave and Tom shows Bert the video, it is the best stuff i have seen.

the funny thing is ya know like them and rogan do a challenge each year? well bert was taking dance classes secretly and pitched that as the challenge.. he was trying to cheat his way to a W.. but they shot the idea down.. so berts like.. well fuck.. i gotta do something with this time i spent taking dance classes.. lmao

Yes, the Charcoal thing is often used in like...survival wilderness scenarios. A good way, if you eat something bad, to get yourself to vomit it up.
Charcoal doesnt neccessarily make you vomit but the long chains of carbon can grab onto various toxins rendering them inert. You then vomit the charcoal out.

Basically every story on This Is Not Happening is pure gold and they are all true as well. As someone else pointed out, Ali Siddiq is an awesome storyteller. I recommend Mexicans Got On Boots and Mitchel (in that order, they are kind of related to each other!)

I wish I had breaks like those college kids. College student now, no fall break, I do get Labor Day, Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving, Thursday and Friday for rodeo because I live in the southwest, spring break, nothing else. I do miss a nice fall break a few days off every now and then, but it seems like something of the past
Yeah it’s true. This story was an average Saturday night for me from 16-21. Outside of the OD.
But “too much too much” was a quote from fear and loathing when a guy takes too much of a drug he’s unfamiliar with that my friends used on each other ALL the time. Not coke or meth or heroin just psychedelics weed and booze.
They were genuinely amazing experiences tho. Especially psychedelics in the back county wilderness.
Britt, I haven’t “lived” that way either, don’t want to, and don’t regret it. I love life without illicit substances, as I’m sure you do, as well.

Schools just hand out time off of school nowadays like candy. I remember my school in the 90's wouldn't even close during tornado's or blizzards. In winter, every year we had buses sliding off of roads and it got so bad parents had to threaten a lawsuit to get the school to take the winter season more seriously. Everytime I visit my siblings these days it seems like the kids have a week off for some reason or another. When I started college I thought I would be so busy I'd never be able to visit home, nope, so much time off compared to my summer work period after high school, insane.
Teacher here: schools and teachers would love to keep kids for way longer.
The change comes from parents complaining that vacations aren’t long enough.
Meanwhile, they’ll still take the kid out of school for two weeks to go to Disney World. 🙄
I started school in the mid '70s and graduated highschool '87, and we always had a week off for Thanksgiving (2 weeks for Christmas thru New Years). The school year always started on Friday before Labor Day. So, we started school Friday and then had Monday off (so the work really didn't start till Tuesday).
HS 'Class of '86' here. Cleveland.
He's talking about University and the first "big break" you usually get is thanksgiving. It was not a real break just a little bit extra time to relax before starting class work again. It only ever seems like a big deal that first semester though lol. Weather you actually have times depends a lot on your course load as well.

A friend of mine was dumb enough to grab an unattended glass from a table someone had left in a bar, and brought it back to our table when we were partying one night. He was low on cash so he saw it as a nice free beer.
We watched our table but didn't think about someone bringing a pre-spiked drink to the table. Which he did.
Someone left it out as a trap most likely..
He almost died in my arms, but we were able to save him.

Not that I would necessarily recommend it to anyone, but high-quality (meaning both strong, but also very pure) Ecstasy is absolutely my favourite drug that I have ever done.
Everything is awesome, everyone is your friend, and the world is gonna be A-OK. Add to that boundless energy, zero aches and pains, and good music is simply Ethereally Beautiful (and I already think that a lot of the time, but this really is next-level).
Aside from all that, MDMA (the "happy" half of Ecstasy) has been clinically proven to help trauma victims, folks with PTSD (particularly ex-soldiers) and other stress-related ailments deal with their issues by facing them head-on in a literal Mental Safe Space. America's War on Drugs is a war on its own people.
Dan Cummins (I highly recommend Dan) does a "This Is Not Happening" about taking acid in Vegas.

My favorite "This isn't happening" is TJ Miller. (controversial person now of course) But his was pretty crazy. I think it would be a good reaction if you don't mind covering someone with his history.
Mine too. Honestly one of the best bits i've ever seen. Bums me out a bit now watching his sets from that time frame, just seeing how incredibly that experience seemed to shape his comedy for the better and knowing how things ultimately wound up.

GHB was a "club drug" it was referred to as liquid esctasy back in the day. Much like acid, mushrooms, and other psychedelics most black people I knew that were users weren't interested in them. They called them "crazy white boy drugs".

You might hear GHB being called "JEEB", or simply "water". I've done it twice, and I absolutely HATED it both times. It just wasn't for me. My friend totally LOVES it. But he would over do it almost every time. He would do what you would call..."Capping out." And it's not a very pleasant experience watching someone capping out. They go into this kind of slow motion seizure and they will sweat profusely for a good hour or 2. He's gotten into so much trouble because of that crap. For starters, he's capped out while driving, totaling 2 of his vehicles. Fortunately he escaped injury both times.

Maybe they did it different in '97. But I've had charcoal pumped into my stomach, and it didn't make me vomit. And it passed through my digestive system. This is the one thing that makes me question the validity of this story.

Yeah GHB was big here in Florida in the late 90s and early 2000s. I knew a cpl ppl that went into a Ghole. Same with ketamine, they call that coma a khole. I did K but never G. But mfrs would be oding all over the place back then

This is hilarious for me because I had an almost identical experience, except it was just A LOT of alcohol. I had 0.72 BAC, enough to kill you twice over. I also suddenly woke up in a hospital with my parents looking over me and immediately knew what chaos must have happened and just thought "aww fuck."

This is Ari Shaffir's show! He's a Jewish comedian whose idea it was for this show that he sold to Comedy Central; Ari Shaffir is well known for making dark offensive jokes for the sake of being funny rather than acceptable, or whatever. Knowing this they still worked with him. And then there was some confrontation with him between him and the channel and they kicked him off the show and replaced him with someone else. But that show is definitely one of my favorites. Ari was known for the Amazing Racist where he got his first big bump back in the day. His recent special "Jew" is amazing.

Tom is from a lot of places, I think. I knew someone who lived in FL during the 90s, and GHB was EVERYWHERE.........like weed on Haight-Ashbury in 1969. Everywhere. Strippers would ingest some and go dance........when you don't take an insane amount, you don't collapse, and it can be very fun.
