- Since he could walk, Samson Rodway has been mad about boats and the ocean. His first design to hit the briny stuff is not your average tinny. Say hello to the shiny new Airier 4.8m by Oceanworx.

Saw this today at Sydney boat show , looks a lot like my next boat 😂 , made everything else look ordinary 🥰
This boat looks sick. Love that you’ve created something hydrodynamically unique and overall bad ass with this boat and contrasted it with a price point version in your Squadron series. Those who know what they’re looking at and understand how crazy it is that a boat that size and style can perform so well will be fans for sure; but you didn’t leave out the masses and have further proven your point by offering the Squadron. Brilliant.
Not often that you see a boat jumping waves that isn't glass. Looks like a solid rig with some serious potential for a tinny
Good on ya for having a go. Hopefully another great Aussie Boat Builder success story in the making .... last comment before end..... dont worry.... Its a new era!
Nice work,
Was at the boat show yesterday.
All models are great.
Good on him for having a crack. Pretty competitive market. For me a $5k tinny for the rivers would do the same job or a $50k entry level fibreglass boat for offshore would get you out to the fads and back with more leeway for weather. Money isn't free anymore....
These prices are excessive. If you're willing to pay 90K for a boat you can get a fibreglass boat that will outperform anything made from aluminium, or a plate boat from an established manufacturer for that matter and you'd still pay a lot less.
i did like how the young bloke was talking about efficieny as his swim ladder was flapping in his wake
It can happen and it's more the producer/videographer who should have caught it. I'm fairly sure this was a paid piece made to look like a mini doc as a lot of their content has been like that lately. So, yeah, it's on the producer...
Looks good Looks like the boats weight played into your design, knowing how much horse power really helps too. I had a close friend who was involved with Gregor boats. I really like the design.
Looks like every other cnc cut plate boat and the tinnie looks like a stessco catcher.
I’ve driven it and no it’s not a back breaking standard CNC hull. It really does perform very well.
yeah it maybe expensive...but no other boat has caught my attention as much as this boat when i was going back to the ramp at yepoon. Im just ploughing through chop at 15 knots when this boats just shoots past me going atleast 30 looking planted.
Wow. Dream of having a boat like this one day. Really sends that spray sideways. Looks like it would be such a dry boat.
Absolutely mint!
love the content keep it up👍
Under floor is on spec with barcrusher and stabi. Maybe to close 😅. Still needs spray chines
1:09 hahaha ill stick to my 19r
The welds under the floor look poor. For a 90k tinny it would want to be perfect
90k for this boat? Are you for real?
@@turbostyler wish I was lying
You had me at drink holder in the console
Looks nice but at that price point you’d be mad not to go fibreglass…can’t see it being a big seller
Crikey! 😲😁😍👍👏👏👏
Great chine design. Still looks like a Quintrex compared to a Secruiser
For 90k for a tinny find a solution to that ladder
When your on the water like a book do you judge it by the cover?
What i mean by that is do you take into consideration the life beneath (the content of book) for design ?
Do you look at water structure for boat structure? For a maximum (measurement) of (times) speed?
Just another bone crunching tinny sharkcat forever
Sounds like a wankfest.
Whats the stability like at rest ?
Being a boat builder myself, I know the laws of psychics means quality ride = poor stability.
Yep wankfest 😂
Yes it has a vibe about the handling, I can guess that it is physically if not psychically a good rider. The problem I reckon is that making it that way is labour consuming, the labour is being done in Australia where it is not cheap. It is probably a really good tinny but still a tinny.
I’ve driven it and it’s fine. If you understand physics then you should know that the Centre of gravity is important. Because the deck is under the water line stability is fine. It’s a great hull. Extremely quiet and solid. TBH it can take more power.
*promo sm* 😂
Welds look shite for that price
Them consoles need some work 🤮
nothing too special really
Overpriced
