Well, you'd be surprised by the amount of dudes posting on fb daily about getting these "waifu looking" pc components here in 🇧🇷.. I guess we are just as much of a "weeb" than the Chinese lol 😂 Heck! I've always been drawn by things like Gigabyte's "VISION" series because of how non-gamer it looked. Yeston continues to impress me with their color palettes and I may genuinely considering grabbing one of their cards when I need an upgrade. Pastels are a super unique and underutilized color pallete in computer hardware imo and I'm all for seeing more! Between this and Chi-Fi IEMs having waifus, I'm interested to see how much the idea expands.
I cannot wait until the western market starts taking some risk in GPU aesthetics. I'm all for great technical design, but I'd love to see some varied design like these waifu cards. As far as I know the most "zany" gpu design is ASUS's evangelion cards. Love the in-depth review as always, Steve! Edit: Any chance we can get a read-along with the comic on GN Extras? Storytime with Steve? Anyone?
they could definitely make swappable plates at assembly, it wouldn't change the cost of the base series by much, and it would definitely drive sales. another option would be to have magnets and printed stamped steel sheets.
If it's a Chinese comic, it's a Manhua. As for the Yeston lore, I love that they're doing kind of what all GPU makers were doing in the 2000's, but they are actually committing to it. I miss those years of illustrated shrouds, and it's nice to see it back thanks to them.
Jesus those VRMs are insane. 20 phases (no idea how they divide it) of 70A top-of-the-line stuff from monolithic, just to power a 7900XTX? That's more than overkill, jeez. This thing right here, at least from its component choices, plays up right there with other top of the line 7900XTX from other manufacturers. This stuff is flagship quality.
I almost purchased it. If it wasn't for that it had an 8+8 PCIe connection, instead of the 8+8+8 PCIe connection offered by Sapphire I would have purchased it, watercooled it and done a whole anime girl theme ordeal. I also think they should have went with a white PCB, PCIe connections and a white backplate for it, as that would have looked so much better . Well, better for my build anyways. Heh. Still, I should have gotten it. Could have used it for another build and sold it later.
At selection of replacement shrouds/backplates would prob be an easy way for them to go. I could see not wanting to limit the market of a card by alienating people that don't like the designs
What an interesting, sweet looking card. My wife, who doesn't know or care much about PC hardware but enjoys gaming on her PC, legitimately stopped in her tracks and went "wow I want one of those in my PC". I think Yeston's on to something with these different, non-"gamer aesthetic" products.
@@TheVanillatech If you want an aesthetically pleasing GPU, prices doesn't matter at that point. Because people value aesthetic over performance are much likely and willing to spend more on matching aesthetics than valuing performance.
@@howtogitgud Only a prince would ever be able to say "price doesn't matter, only aesthetically pleasing things do!". Seriously, no gamer in history picked 30fps and a pink and purple LED graphics card, over a dull grey 120fps powerhouse. Performance is king. Always was, always will be. This isn't a pair of earings and a dress. It's a graphics card! XD And $1100 is right for a 7900XTX isnt it? Still an expensive item, and not for playing Roblox or Minecraft.
I love when you review Yeston cards. There's something so unique about their cards that if I had the money, I would absolutely buy one. Nobody can mistake a Yeston card. I absolutely love seeing these because it's more unique than most other cards on the market.
It'll be cool to check back later on their future cards to see if they actually revise some of the points you bring up, considering they shipped it out to you themselves. Considering the niche and distinction they have in the market, taking feedback on board and producing an excellent quality card which is ALSO distinctive would put them in a really strong spot if they can secure international sales vendors. While talking about this video with someone while watching it, I forgot what my card even looked like and had to look in the case to see what brand of 'black and silver rectangle' it was, go figure.
personally I've had great luck with those niche brands on taking feedback and improving rapidly in later versions. (clevo being one of those) their purple and their white cards are great looking too, I'm a big fan of the 3080 sakura.
Can we please get those Yeston cards everywhere? I'd buy a cute cat/waifu/whatever GPU just for the novelty alone, even as someone who's not into Anime (but even less into g4m3r-Gear).
Yeston makes some of the most consistently unique and attractive GPUs. It would be nice to see them get western distribution outside of eBay sellers charging a collectors premium.
@@Hogdriva What's amusing about this is that it's in a unique situation where it will still sell out to non-weebs as well since it's the only accessible 4090 anyone can get at the moment, until it sells out.
I was torn between 7900 XTX Sapphire PULSE and Yeston Sakura Sugar. Today I received the Yeston gpu, I placed it on the side with the fans facing the window, it looks very good I'm happy with the purchase!
Although it seems like a bit of a chore to take apart the card, I *really* like that you can simply remove the LED plate with the character etched in by removing just a couple of screws. At least it seemed like you could. Suddenly, flow-through design!
Wow, it's absolutely wild to see GN reviewing this. I've been helping a friend with a tye-dye build for a few months now and we fell in love with this card but it was impossible to find/import for months in the US.
Id certainly buy this card for a future build. Im not a big fan of bland looking components or ones that look identical to the rest. Ive loved the look and design of my 5700xt Taichi card and matching motherboard but now it seems an upgrade is in order
tbh, these Chinese GPU AIB's is giving a lot more flavour to GPU markets. Yeston and Colorful in particular have a lot more bombastic colours than what we usually have, which is black, black , black with RGB, and black with white stripes.
I wish Colorful cards were available in the USA at MSRP prices. I actually wanted a Colorful 4000 series card but I didn't want to pay the huge price premium it would have required so settled for an Asus card. Actually I used to always buy EVGA but... 😢
Thanks for doing a review of this Steve! I've been fascinated with their line up ever since you covered the 5700 XT "Waifu" card, along with the cute cat case. I wish these were more easily accessible in the Western market. While I would love to snag one of these, the pricing and hassle of importing one just isn't worth it. I like that ASUS is experimenting with their own "Anime" themed products, but those are hard to come across as well...especially the "Gundam" GPUs that get snatched by scalpers, which kills any chance of trying to get one at or near MSRP.
I liked the led character portrait on the backplate it also looked like you could replace it with a custom acrylic, engraved with the character of your choice
"Invasion plan accomplished" 😂 "Sugar cooling system" I love how this card looks and all the effort put into it even if I am not hyper into anime Them including lore and a story with it that someone obviously cares a lot about and has put a lot of effort into is kind of adorable. It kind of makes me like it even more even if I am not usually into that type of thing
Thank you for the review. I will display this card shamelessly in my PC build. Unfortunately, Taobao screwed up & confirmed that they lost the package after shipping out of their warehouse in China. Now that Yeston have 7900 XT & 4080 (holy sh!t that price) in stock on Newegg, I might have to buy it there instead. :(
I've owned their 6800XT Sakura Hitomi edition for some time (bought one right after I watched your review, and yes it did have the perfume as you mentioned), and I can say they really nail it in the design department. Aesthetically the best-looking GPU I've ever owned, no complaints at all, at least in my eyes, I'm a casual user. And hey, if it performs like a reference card, that's more than acceptable, in my opinion.
I actually like the look of that one. I was chatting to my dad a couple of weeks back and discussed the idea of manufacturers making the GPU's with an easily removable shroud and then selling different optional shrouds/casings as add-ons to customize them instead of making different GPU's requiring full material use each time. That would reduce financial loses for the manufacturer from unsold GPU's, reduce e-waste and give us the ability to get a card in any style we want! Sound like a good idea?
23:47 This little tidbit is fantastic - maybe even worth making it a short! It's always comforting to see a tester prove consistency/reliability in results, and only makes me want to watch/trust more! Not to mention you sound like a weatherman for a quick minute lol
I love these cards. I haven't bought one yet just due to the timings of my builds and the cards not having quite enough draw to me, but I have kept my eye on Yeston for years at this point. I am very interested in the idea of a unique card that you can build around (without having to do custom work yourself), especially with the GPU being the most important part of my builds. My main build will probably continue to be fully water-cooled in the future too, but one of these cards could absolutely be what drives me to come up with an excuse to make a new build.
I always like seeing cards like these they really add some spice to an otherwise mostly bland market and it's not that other cards look bad there is just so much oversaturation of similar designs that everything becomes amalgamous
Steve your set is looking better than ever, so far I always had your channel as content first aesthetics later, but recently I have seen you are placing much more attention to both the set and the graphics shown during your videos, also the light seems to have improved quite a lot. Now in regards to the these graphics cards I'm super happy they are continuing to produce this cards, I feel like we need more of those more risky designs and not the usual kind of designs we see from AIBs most of the time, you know they are basically circlejerking each other designs when the most refreshing graphics cards designs are the elegant and understated Intel cards or these anime themed Yeston cards.
With all the new GPU having names like "The Black Baron" or taking some "dark energy", having a GPU that is all flowers and candies is something I would welcome wholeheartedly.
Well. As a person who live in China, I can try to explain something about why the poster will say "来自海面的风终将吹散炽热". When you look at the character in the previous poster, you can see she wear the swimsuit and stand in the ocean. And the card is cooled by fans. If we migrate them together, we will get the following key words: ocean, wind, cooling. Here is how the sentence was created.
And the company build anime-related card just from RTX 3070. They create a character called "樱瞳". The first product series they created is the character with the wedding dress(Interestingly, the word "花嫁" on the poster is not how we call wedding dress in Chinese. It's how we call it in Japanese). It's the same for the word “水着”. It means swimsuit in Japanese, no meaning in Chinese originally.
I managed to snag their 3080 model on black friday sale for $580 new, been absolutely loving it. Yeah, it's a bit loud, and it runs a bit hot, but a 3080 at significantly under MSRP is a hell of a steal.
Now this has got me planning a vaporwave-themed build for the (somewhat distant) future. Shouldn't be too hard, given the availability of pastel-colored cases and graphics cards like these.
I hope these folks keep pushing products out. Good on them for at least being different and leaning into it. I hope you guys are able to review more of their stuff even if the views don't really serve.
ok but i love this bonkers card. it's colourful and a welcome change to the constant bland designs that we get all the time these days. would look amazing in my white and pink build
I'm all for custom cards, as long as the card performs like it is supposed too. In terms of aesthetics, Waifu, Robots, Dinosaurs, "insert your favorite here" it is all subjective.
I didn't know we needed lore on GPUs, But now I want it to become the norm! xD I hope Yetson will continue their efforts into their marketing. It would be cool if they eventually developed a game for their characters and lore. It would be the complete opposite of GPUs with game marketing, instead it would be "GPU marketing" turned into a game. ;) And I must say, Yeston presence is much appreciated on the channel! It's always nice to see something different.
Every time Steve gets to review these, he upgrades his personal rig at home. We all know it! Also, "Game Start" is probably a reference to the Sword Art Online. It's what the characters say when logging into their games.
Yep, came here to point it out, also the styling of the text also gives an Sword Arts Online feel, and given this is anime bait in GPU form its certainly probable.
Lol the waifu stuff just popped up on my algorithm for the first time last week. I had never seen it. I didn't think you would ever go back to doing this content but I'm so glad you did lol

I'm a guy and I'd get this anyway, it's such a refreshing change of pace from the overdone super edgy GAMER DARK STEALTH GRIM aesthetic so many other manufacturers push for. I just want a functional "easy to look at" PC, not one that screams I want to 360 MLG noscope someone.
@@Keirnoth 100% agree with both of you. As a guy who isn't into uwu stuff, this goes hard. It's dope they're making cute stuff for girls and I don't see a reason why they couldn't make a few neutral designs here and there as well - not gigachad black/red; rather cool-for-all things like a console controller design!
Well, you'd be surprised by the amount of dudes posting on fb daily about getting these "waifu looking" pc components here in 🇧🇷..
I guess we are just as much of a "weeb" than the Chinese lol 😂
Heck! I even speak for myself, been thinking about doing an "all Yeston build" for a couple of months already, just for the fun of building something different and out of the usual, plus there is A LOT of cool looking anime/waifu themed boards (asus rog), cases, gpus(that white Yeston Sakura 30 series card is just hella pretty lmao) , even ram sticks (Corsair even).. is just too tempting haha
he's just a gaymer boi she said see you later boi

Some get rgbs to look like a "gamer"
Some use blackout builds to look edgy
I chose a blackout build cause its cheap.
We are not the same😂
I've always been drawn by things like Gigabyte's "VISION" series because of how non-gamer it looked.
Bring back those cool cards from the 2000s with the Fantasy art on them.
The western GPU aesthetic is what the eastern manufacturers decide it will be, at least for third party cards.
At least as far as Nvidia cards go, it's because Nvidia always says no to this stuff and generally acts like a total asshole to its board partners.
@@arnox4554 yeston made a rtx 4080 version of the waifu rx 7900 xtx
it’s nice to see them return with a new card
Can agree more!😍
If it's a Chinese comic, it's a Manhua.
As for the Yeston lore, I love that they're doing kind of what all GPU makers were doing in the 2000's, but they are actually committing to it. I miss those years of illustrated shrouds, and it's nice to see it back thanks to them.
It is indeed a pretty card. Color palette chosen works really well in my eyes.
Agree with it!☺
Jesus those VRMs are insane.
28:11 there is fin stack artifact in the video.
Love their approach of custom card while maintaining the performances.
I think its beautiful. I wish we had more computer things like this that were mainstream.
Thank you for liking us❤
True
At selection of replacement shrouds/backplates would prob be an easy way for them to go. I could see not wanting to limit the market of a card by alienating people that don't like the designs

Cyberpunk, Serial Experiments Lain-esque design makes it a unique option in terms of aesthetics and something you could do a fun custom build around.
Let's all love Lain
What an interesting, sweet looking card. My wife, who doesn't know or care much about PC hardware but enjoys gaming on her PC, legitimately stopped in her tracks and went "wow I want one of those in my PC". I think Yeston's on to something with these different, non-"gamer aesthetic" products.
Is she worth $1100?
I WANT WOODGRAIN!!
@@TheVanillatech If you want an aesthetically pleasing GPU, prices doesn't matter at that point. Because people value aesthetic over performance are much likely and willing to spend more on matching aesthetics than valuing performance.
Thank you for liking us❤
@@howtogitgud Only a prince would ever be able to say "price doesn't matter, only aesthetically pleasing things do!".
I wish more companies would do custom cards
Yeston should produce their own custom watercooling blocks for their GPUs as well. Would be interesting to see their unique design take on them!
I'm imaging an exosuit kinda lore explanation.
I love when you review Yeston cards. There's something so unique about their cards that if I had the money, I would absolutely buy one. Nobody can mistake a Yeston card. I absolutely love seeing these because it's more unique than most other cards on the market.
I find it much cute when Steve spoke Mandarin at 6:11. Steve is our 糖果甜心
Now THAT is a sick thumbnail. I have no plans to buy a 7900 XTX any time soon but I _do_ want to hear Steve talk about pink GPU-chan...
(clevo being one of those)
their purple and their white cards are great looking too, I'm a big fan of the 3080 sakura.
17:25 Sold! I want that LED hardswitch on EVERY component that has lights.
Can we please get those Yeston cards everywhere? I'd buy a cute cat/waifu/whatever GPU just for the novelty alone, even as someone who's not into Anime (but even less into g4m3r-Gear).
That zoom on warranty label xD Nice work camera guy, your effort was not unnoticed ;)
Yeston makes some of the most consistently unique and attractive GPUs. It would be nice to see them get western distribution outside of eBay sellers charging a collectors premium.
Agreed!
@Teamgeist why did you click the video when you aren’t interested in the video?
That's pretty much what everyone's asking of them, unfortunately they're still limited to just AliExpress and Newegg.
Newegg has them at or near MSRP the only caveat is the shipping time from China
@@Hogdriva What's amusing about this is that it's in a unique situation where it will still sell out to non-weebs as well since it's the only accessible 4090 anyone can get at the moment, until it sells out.
I was torn between 7900 XTX Sapphire PULSE and Yeston Sakura Sugar. Today I received the Yeston gpu, I placed it on the side with the fans facing the window, it looks very good I'm happy with the purchase!
The camera pan around the heatsink at 28:01 brought about some trippy artifacts.
OK I'm glad it wasn't just me.
Although it seems like a bit of a chore to take apart the card, I *really* like that you can simply remove the LED plate with the character etched in by removing just a couple of screws. At least it seemed like you could. Suddenly, flow-through design!
your mandarin’s progressing nicely, steve! keep it up
Wow, it's absolutely wild to see GN reviewing this.
This dude is like a PC components doctor. Feels like I'm listening to a surgeon talk about scalpels. So much knowledge.
Surgeon is a fitting comparison since it's also almost therapeutic.
Check out Wendell lvl1tech, Lawrence system, bps costum. Far better
tbh, these Chinese GPU AIB's is giving a lot more flavour to GPU markets. Yeston and Colorful in particular have a lot more bombastic colours than what we usually have, which is black, black , black with RGB, and black with white stripes.
Don't forget some white, white, white with RGB, and white with black stripes.
I wish Colorful cards were available in the USA at MSRP prices. I actually wanted a Colorful 4000 series card but I didn't want to pay the huge price premium it would have required so settled for an Asus card. Actually I used to always buy EVGA but... 😢
Thanks for decluttering your charts, much easier to see the upsides/downsides of this specific product this way! 👍👍
6:42 "water wears the" is supposed to be "swimsuit". 水着 is taken from Japanese and means "swimsuit" so the Chinese translator got a bit confused.
I liked the led character portrait on the backplate it also looked like you could replace it with a custom acrylic, engraved with the character of your choice
"Invasion plan accomplished" 😂
"Sugar cooling system"
I love how this card looks and all the effort put into it even if I am not hyper into anime
Them including lore and a story with it that someone obviously cares a lot about and has put a lot of effort into is kind of adorable. It kind of makes me like it even more even if I am not usually into that type of thing
"Invasion plan accomplished" sounds like some code sign for PLA to hit Taiwan

Thank you for the review. I will display this card shamelessly in my PC build.
Unfortunately, Taobao screwed up & confirmed that they lost the package after shipping out of their warehouse in China. Now that Yeston have 7900 XT & 4080 (holy sh!t that price) in stock on Newegg, I might have to buy it there instead. :(
I always say "yes" to Yeston!
28:02 Woaah. That's trippy, dude.
It seems Steve hasn't yet embraced the beach episode concept of anime.
Don't worry Yeston, just keep laying it on thicker and he'll get it
Thanks for covering this. There are a few brands doing similar designs now. Mostly on Ali.
I waited a long time for you to review this GPU, thank you very much! Now I can buy it in peace!
Thanks for sharing, we love it so much❤
I would love to see him review the 4080 as well if possible, thanks!

Would love it if Yeston expanded into the 240/280/360/240mm AIOs and mATX/ATX computer cases business with their anime/manhau themes.
Can't lie, this is a nice looking card. Glad I won't have to be roasted by the Uber Eats driver anymore.
Thanks, Steve
Now this is what I call, a certified Thanks Steve moment
Who issues the certification? Is it an ISO certified lab?
Ngl, the illuminated window is pretty cool. I appreciate the dB vs rpm graph.
No! It’s a pretty cool edit on the character 「櫻」on the backplate!
It means Sakura btw 😋
I'm a little disappointed we didn't get the lore table read, it seems highly important to this review.
As a female who enjoys building pcs I’m kind digging this card. Lol not going to lie. My daughter is going to peer pressure me into buy it. 😅
I managed to snag their 3080 model on black friday sale for $580 new, been absolutely loving it. Yeah, it's a bit loud, and it runs a bit hot, but a 3080 at significantly under MSRP is a hell of a steal.
I would pay good money to watch Steve review anime and explain his waifu choices
I always turn to Steve for my anime graphics card lore breakdowns
Now this has got me planning a vaporwave-themed build for the (somewhat distant) future. Shouldn't be too hard, given the availability of pastel-colored cases and graphics cards like these.
I hope these folks keep pushing products out. Good on them for at least being different and leaning into it. I hope you guys are able to review more of their stuff even if the views don't really serve.
ok but i love this bonkers card. it's colourful and a welcome change to the constant bland designs that we get all the time these days. would look amazing in my white and pink build
I wait for these yearly. Steve is at his PEAK HAPPINESS when he does these
The big question is: did it have a perfume scent when you first opened the box? Thanks for the review, these different cards/products are very cool
I admit, this card looks beautiful. Hope Yeston expands to more market and keep up with their unique designs
I still love the cute pet GPU. Would love it if they made versions for newer high end cards
This industry needs more products with this type of aesthetic.
I wish I can get one of these cool gpu cards at my local Micro Center. It will surely add colorful immersions to my gaming experience.🤗

Also, "Game Start" is probably a reference to the Sword Art Online. It's what the characters say when logging into their games.
Yep, came here to point it out, also the styling of the text also gives an Sword Arts Online feel, and given this is anime bait in GPU form its certainly probable.
