@@jordanhoogerhyde577 thanks...it was because of this thumbnail i bought my bmpcc 4k. it did not show counterweights on the exact same gimbal. thank you for this!
@@jordanhoogerhyde577 what memory card are you using? my card stops recording after eight seconds and this was a card some guy on youtube said should work at the bitrate i am looking to shoot at
@@nikinthemud glad it helped! I use a silicon power cinema pro 256gb cfast 2.0 card. I usually use 12:1 but even in my little testing of 3:1 it has never dropped frames. I’ve even tried 4k60 at 3:1 and I don’t remember it stopping at all.
I am using native lenses that use focus by wire. The dial on the RSC2 automatically works and can control focus when you plug the camera into the gimbal.
@@jordanhoogerhyde577 Thanks for the response. Have you been able to get any stable footage out of the camera and gimbal combo? I have the pocket 4K as well but I'm hesitant because I haven't seen many videos with this gimbal that have been able to achieve stable footage.
@@Victor-Rojas I would definitely recommend the rsc2. Originally had a weebill s and it was honestly pretty terrible. There’s no way I could create most of what I do handheld. Check out this video, it’s 100% the bmpcc4k and rsc2, super smooth footage (some shots almost even look like a tripod): th-cam.com/video/rtk-9QL-1kM/w-d-xo.html
@@Victor-Rojas I will say it takes some practice and fine tuning but once you get it down you can get some crazy smooth stuff, especially for a camera with no IBIS.
@@jordanhoogerhyde577 most of my work is done on a monopod and a stabilized lens (Canon 24-105), so I get really stable footage already, but my work lacks movement. I'm looking for some silky "cinematic" gimbal shots. Are you using any counterweights? Here's a link to my work. I think adding some gimbal shots to my work would elevate the production quality. m.th-cam.com/channels/Hr1GlhLONvfEhelKYD_P_Q.htmlvideos?view_as=subscriber
Thx for your work
I have the DJI RSC2 and wanted to buy a BMPCC4K...did you have to use counterweights on the gimbal?
Depends on the lens. I have the Panasonic 25mm f1.7 and 35-100mm f2.8, and I do not need counterweights for either of them.
