    I ordered mine the other day, It will arrive today. About your vibration problem. If you have in camera stabilization on, might it cause problems? Just a thought. My camera and some of the lenses have image stabilizers and will be interesting to see how they react with each other.

    How are you running the focus motor, raven eye, and connect the gimbal to the camera and still be able to record to an SSD? all the USB ports are used up.

    The only thing that I can suggest is that your camera is so badly arranged that you're going to get vibrations no matter what. All those cables strung out everywhere, including the follow focus ring are very likely making life difficult for the gimbal.
    If I were to take a glidecam analogy, your static balance may be fine ie, when the motors are not on, but you dynamic balance is way out of kilter. What I mean by this is that once the gimbal is on and you start any sort of movement, the cables are all going to start moving and vibrating causing the gimbal apoplexy as it tries to compensate.
    This is all going to be exacerbated by the fact that your camera sits very high on the mount and has further cables at the top. I reckon my Crane 3s would struggle to keep things under control with such a setup.

    Thanks!

    I've used gimbals from Gen1 when they used to be just 8bit to the latest, vibrations are always caused by using lightweight lenses and a heavy body camera, Gimbals are designed by manufacturer for front heavy lenses. you either have to use a front heavy lens like "sigma 18-35" or a canon or sony, otherwise try adding weights to the front to counter the akward heavy body that of the pocket 4k. Also wires have to be tight because when you walk wires flopping can cause micro vibrations. Iam in London, if you wanna meet up I can help you with this matter :)

    Hey. Nice vid. Do you know if there is any way to use both DJI focus motor (or perhaps some other focus motor) and record to SSD? Since Focus Motor connects to bmpcc6k via USB-C there is no way to connect ssd. Am I missing something here?

    • @IAmFitzee
      @IAmFitzee 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You cannot use both at the same time sadly. The only way to use both is if you use an external monitor that allows you to put your ssd into it.

    great video. I noticed at the end when it is tracking you in the field the angle of the horizon is off level. I notice this with my pocket 6k with heavy lens and cage that the camera sits balanced but off center of the horizon and has an angle also. not sure what to do about that.

    He is just doing something wrong with the footage, its a SKILL ISSUE. Its an Rs2 Gymbal, and it can handle alot. His 16mm lens might affect that. The footage just looks so bad.
