Imagine you are involved in 2 goals, but never gets mentioned by his fan base? Gets blamed every time when the team plays bad, but never gets credit even if he created 2 goals. No wonder why Son is shushing the Spurs fans every time he scores?
I’ve said it all along, the attack at all costs tactics (without the players capable of implementing them) were costing us. Today we were more compact, didn’t take many risks, went long and slowed the game down when needed. A thoroughly professional performance. We’ll need more of that in the next two games.
He is stubborn and his plan B will always be try to implement plan A better, and it takes him a long time to concede that he has to adapt, but he can do it. He used to be more pragmatic about his tactics when he was Australian manager and he didn't always have quality options for each position in his preferred formation, and he is showing a similar approach now. If you want to see how he can adapt during a game watch the confederations cup game against Chile. He also lost to eventual champions Germany by a single goal, with a vastly inferior side on paper.
Ok .....I'm Ange in, but could you now please explain how he can knock the stuffing out of City , then follow it up with a loss , at home , to a team which hadn't registered a win . I am hopeful, but still have a degree of, wait and see .
I know MOTM was Spence but big shoutout to Kinsky, he was quite a warrior and a commander of out box. It sucks that Brentford had to be the scapegoat for us to break the winless streak, I would have preferred Leicester but, we don't talk about that anymore...we got the job done, end of story. Now, I've seen a lot are excited to see the likes of Romero and VDV back but what relived me is that Spence can actually cover for Udogie or Porro now, we have such a wildcard of a full back, it's craxy we were to sold the kid in the summer...
Much as I would like Udogie to return to full fitness, Spence’s form has me thinking whether Udogie would get straight back in. I doubt that he would. Very good solid performance and that solidity is what is missing all too often.
Spence I like but he would rotate with porro who's played every game for us needs a rest, but also would love to see Spence in his natural position, udogie we desperately need back, great win today and the defence was very compact, need more of the same for anfield, son up top and rich left when he's fully fit, sons legs have gone looks well short of pace.
What a perforce by Spence. Solid, energetic, composed. The lad is growing. Archie I thought dealt with the afternoon very well again, no blemishes. Nice to see Bentancur looking more like his best, hopefully a good run of minutes will only help his find better form still. A lot of positives to take from today's game
Yes, Spence had a good game in general, but in first half on the score 0-0 he had a few runs backwards where he just jogged and gave the Bees way too much space on the back post. Against a better opponent that could have cost us. Gray and Davies were outstanding throughout the entire game.
The defensive block has not been as high for a while now. We also dont press as much, and as a result have scored a lot less goals lately. Expect the high line to return as players do. During this run of losses, a huge problem has been not having pressure on the ball carrier and they cab deliver in a cross under bo pressure. Today the midfield had more energy (no doubt due to a few players returning) and for the most part, they were able to get out to and pressure the ball carrier. The wing backs also didnt give the ball away when coming out and were able to find Biss & Bentacur more oftern in space than recently. The goal lead is the difference between people saying the first half was shit and good. I thought midweek against elftborg the first half was pretty decent, just missing some quality, and yet people trashed that half because the goal was never scored.
Spence over Udogie any day. Should be an automatic selection from now on. Richarlison just doesn't look like he's going to score unless someone spills it. Team badly misses Solanke.
It wasn’t vintage Snge ball, but if it showed anything, it was that the players are all 💯 behind Ange. This could be the turning point that bring much needed success , . Coys
Controversial opinion here from a 42 year Spurs fan who's starved of success and trophies. I hope and pray that Ange is building a cup team that is capable of regularly getting to finals and winning trophies at the detriment of the Premier League.. Honestly fuck the league. We're never going to win it. The champions league isn't a trophy. We can't compete with wages so a cup team is fine by me. Coys
Can we just see what’s gonna happen in the next couple of games before saying where are the Ange’s critics? If he’s gonna be pro active with tactics from now on then fab however that one game against Brentford for me doesn’t mean anything. I wanna see consistency not just one game with different tactic :)
Ange didn't go for kamikaze style, well not so much, had the full backs stay full backs and not keep cutting in the middle.. look at the shots etc that Brentford had.. hopefully the first league win in 8 or 9 games gives them confidence and ange sticks to this style But lets see how liverpool take to us :)
@SonnyTalksSpurs I just notice that it is written in the tweet that Dsasi IA not accepting Spurs even if Spurs agreed with Chelsea on loan deal 🫡 Please clarify it if you know about it
An AWAY win, UN *&^%$&*(( believable, ha ha.Congratulations mate,I have to change the title of my book now, FIRST 2 FIFTEENTH is no longer applicable hey!
I am a critic as you know Sonny, you do need to calm down though claiming that all our problems have now been sorted 😆 , a good result and Spence was immense !
Did you see Liverpool against Bournemouth. TAA was trying to give them goals but they didn’t take it. VVD and Konate didn’t look very convincing in the middle either.
I can't wait for Savva and his whinging fanboys to just go home. When spurs win a trophy I won't be flaunting it at a Gooner, I'll be straight in Savvas face asking him if he wishes he could enjoy it with us

Great! I went 3-1 win (and got laughed at), but 2-0 any day!
Was a must win game. Ange and the lads did well. COYS.
🙏🙏🙏
Spence grey and Davis were amazing would have liked to see Ricky come off sooner but it’s the result we needed
Yeah he was very leggy - what a win!
True and Davies is so useful
he is our swiss army knife
Bentencur must be mentioned
2 spellings out of 3 wrong 😂😂😂

Think the expectation by fans is thr big difference. People have much higher standard for Son.
Quietly going about his business
Spence MAN OF THE MATCH
so good yet again

He can adapt!

All played so well
He has a fantastic presence about him. It’s a bit spooky how similar to Neuer he is.
The result made me think that even Brentford are Ange in 😂
hahaha
Much as I would like Udogie to return to full fitness, Spence’s form has me thinking whether Udogie would get straight back in. I doubt that he would. Very good solid performance and that solidity is what is missing all too often.

WE ARE STAYING UP!!!
Lets go!!!
If Postecoglu drops Spence when Udogie is fit, it’s criminal.
True haha
Spence rb
@@bucko3173 why? He plays better on the left than Udogie does
Ange asked for more players to push them to complete for positions
Cannot see that happening

It is a tweak of approach
A much needed win in the face of adversity. Plan B defence stood out the most. Ange ball is still alive though ❤
Wooo
With the same players who play every three days, Brentford had a week to prepare.

Great team effort. Hopefully 1-2 players tomarrow and a win against Liverpool coming up.

Good job on the telly the other day Sonny.
Thank you mate glad you enjoyed
More than ever: BACK ANGE!
🙏🙏🙏
And nice one priest! Can we have next week's lottery numbers as well?! 🙏🙏🙏
hahaha
Spence-Davies-Grey-Porro can be the back4 solid covering at this situation. Dragusin can play as a back-up for Europa or FA cup. ❤❤

Found one 😂
Need a clean sheet next game that’s it!❤
here is hoping
Credit where due ..for the 1st time showed he can get the team 2 dig deep 2 get a result ...clean sheet
💯
for the first time in months I think we can avoid the drop :)
hahaha - yesssss
Remember we have a bus full of players to return.
Spence should rotate with porro. Impact weapons on the right and porro needs a rest. Let them fight it out . spence is ready.

good review. I also can't help thinking you remind of Harry Kane, you do look a lot like him. Any chance you are related to him?

By sitting in, defending well and controlling a game - many thought we’d struggle today
