Bob was a very unusual cat. Not many would sit calmly on a shoulder, while all the cameras were flashing, nor sit beside James while he busked. He was a one off. A God given gift to James, and he must miss him terribly.
As a cat lover, I'm so happy for James and Bob. I hope James uses some of his good fortune to help fund rescue groups who help cats like Bob and give them that chance that James and Bob gave each other.
Just saw this and did hug my cat. She was a stray that only weighed 3lbs at just over a year. Told her she’s lucky to have landed in my back yard. Showed me her tail as she swished her tubby ( 20lbs ) away. And yes we have her under vet care. A medication she needed caused the weight gain. But we still call her Garfield.

The fact that I am a cat lover reeled me in to this movie. And then a wonderful thing happened..... I have a 37 year old daughter that left a month of rehab.... only to take flight and return to the street and alcohol and God only knows what else. At present she's in jail which oddly enough is a relief to her family because we know she's sober and alive in there. I hope and pray someone, or something touches her life like Bob did yours, and she will come back to us.
The help she needs is the love of a family and the support you never gave her. It has been proved that when things like this happen including suicide at younger age is because of extremly unparenting. And you're happy because she's in jail, how dare you to say that!

I loved the movie. when I feel lonely or have had a very tough day at work, I come home, pop in the DVD and watch the movie. I love the message "Don't stop trying" that this movie has. I have been trying to pay off all my old debts and medical bills, but its hard. I get one done, then I have another trip to the doctor. I won't give up though. James did what was necessary for him to survive. I am doing the same thing. I have a roof over my head and beans and rice on my plate and clean clothes. Some people think I am too radical, weird or cheap, but too bad. I had a ginger cat named Brownie since he was a 3 month old kitten someone wanted to get rid of. He would jump into my lap and fall asleep in seconds. He was my best friend until he died of a heart attack 5 years ago. People who think James is just using Bob for attention are stupid and jealous. James and Bob are best friends, anyone can see that. James, thank you for your book, your movie and your example.
