Whoa I loved it!!! I'm going to guess that at the end Chara is begging Frisk (if this was genocide route) to spare everyone but since Frisk is controlled by the player they can't do anything.

Close but wrong, it’s more so symbolism.
(Basically, to sum it up, in my Au while Frisk is being controlled by us (the player), every time we reset Chara gets more and more corrupted every Genocidal run is completed. Hence why Chara’s eyes drip black and etc. However, Chara knows that Frisk is being controlled to do so, so they watch over them. Kinda like a guardian.)
