Thomas Keating.” All of these talks are now available on TH-cam, and are listed below with links. Fr. My friend introduced me to Fr Thomas Keating last year. I am so glad she did!!!
"The person who gives you the most trouble is the greatest gift that you have from God....."
Thank you, I really needed to hear this now. It's changed my perception. Thank you for these life changing videos
I don't think i as a former clinician who is antimaterialistic that i would thank him for the chronically ragefull antagonistic people.
B 20:32 😂😢😮😅
very helpful and substantial
Iam sending you this link because it is thebeginning of the series of talks with FrKeating which go into more detail of Contemplative Prayer. I don't know how long these will be offered as the first season is over. These go into more detail. I have started this series again as I was exposed to them years ago. I am trying to begin this practice again.
He mentioned in the 43rd minute discussing the ways that we react when angry according to temperament.
Could anyone put up a link to him speaking on that topic or a book in which he wrote about it.
Does Fr Keating have or teach these topics in any of his books? Can you recommend where I can find his teachings? Thank you. 🙏🏻
For me, the book 'Intimacy with God' by Thomas Keating continually gives me courage to face what arise from deep within, and trust, in spite of myself, in God when my programs for happiness are running the show.
In particular, some lines that have found their way into my heart, from p 34 (i think).
"This violence has to be repaired. It is an imbalance that needs the kind of love that is born in interior silence as we let go of ourselves and allow God to be God in us. '
Sahndra Nelson thank you so much for your reply this experience is so beautiful and transforming. I will check out this book. Thank you 🙏🏻
"Open Mind, Open Heart" is another.
Invitation to Love has a chapter on the false self in action. Short book.
What year were these recorded?
This and all "Spiritual Journey" series talks up through number 23 were recorded in 1986.
Did you ever think of getting out and living a life more like everyone else?
Like you perhaps, Mr Tranquil?
insanity has many forms of reality

It oy applies to privileged people not in adversity, comfortable and safe none of this applies to the poor oppressed weak and mentally ill, unfortunately the church and religious no longet know them at all the have been written off and are no longer included in todays privileged only Christianity.
There is no true spiritual unity except in the sanctifying grace of Jesus Christ. And no one goes to the Father but through Him in the Holy Spirit. You keep saying consciousness. It’s not unity by consciousness. It is union by grace, grace lost during the Fall, that only comes into the soul through Jesus Christ by the ordinary means of Baptism, please God into the Catholic Church, established by Jesus Christ.
I like what Father Keating had to say at about 39 minutes to around 41 minutes.
Yes, that's conventional Catholicism. But let's face it, just getting baptized doesn't make one happy. Father Keating's spirituality recognizes this obvious fact. His spirituality is not idealistic or theoretical, it's practical--which is why it's a rare treasure.
You’re obviously consumed by ideas, concepts, and words. The Unity is an ongoing reality behind the facad of the egoic grasping mind.
Let go of your words and ideas and enjoy the Presence.
Thanks, Pablo, for a recitation of the Catholic party line, but Christ is way beyond the dogma of an Italian bureaucracy.
