Manitowoc Ice Machine Fan Troubleshooting

In this video I show you how to troubleshoot the condenser fan on a Manitowoc Ice Machine. I explain why the fan speed fluctuates very erratically, and how to TEMPORARILY fix it until you have a mechanic come fix it correctly.

I know it's a long shot since the video is so old but I need some advice on my machine. It's the same unit. It powers up, runs water for a few mins then stops and the "Service Light" comes on. It doesn't seem like the evaporator is getting cold. I've cleaned the front filter and the coil. I'm not quite sure where to focus my attention. Any advice would be great.

Sounds to me like you might have a refrigerant issue. You might be running low on refrigerant in the system if that is the case, your regular refrigeration company will be able to get that problem resolved for you. Basically any company that can service a walk-in refrigerator will be able to service this unit.

Was it the low or high pressure switch? I work on mostly indigo Manitowoc machines and I have a condenser fan motor short cycling

I think it was a pressure switch, solely dedicated to the fan. Clicks it on at a certain pressure and off at another.

On indigo ice machines the purple wires is for HPC not fan cycle.

I have an indigo self contained unit with a short cycling condenser fan motor only not the compressor. So it’s the low pressure switch failing?

Sir. Please i need to help. I have icetro ice making machine. Power on frist start pump on 3minut after water pump stop. Compressor and condenssor fan not working. What is the problem . Pls explanation thanks

Davoodadnan Davood your cooling system is dead and as a result your ice machine is dead. Probably not what you want to hear but that is not worth the time or money to repair.
