Your tutorial is a hidden gem! Your expert guidance made replacing the Carrier blower motor a breeze. In case you need high-quality spare parts, our store has you covered for Carrier blower motors.
Nice job man, thank you... just having a hard time sliding that assembly out to swap out the ECM. Seems blocked, I guess there is something else on mine I need to take off...
Good Vid! I'm moving said model furnace to a new location, with return air coming from the other side. Is this blower (and perhaps 'mount plate' 180 reversible), and I can put the return immediately opposite? What's involved?? Thanking you in advance!
I have a vibration that is driving me crazy as it resonates through the walls of my house. I’ve replaced the motor once and the squirrel cage 3 times with no luck. Still have the same vibration. I’m wondering if when the original squirrel cage fan came loose and dropped followed by basically coming apart in a violent way if it damaged the actual housing. What do you think? Have you ever had to replace a housing?
@WWHVAC you're series is great! Trying to diagnose why my furnace fan turns off but clicks off then turns on and clicks off again after 20 seconds. Hats why I was looking for a capacitor but maybe its the board. Will watch more of your videos.
Word of advice. Disconnect the blower wiring and just unscrew the entire control board mounting plate off of the blower motor motor housing and set it completely out of the way.
I'll take a big guess and say the Control module is what failed which is about $300. Those are usually the first item to fail on those motors from my experience. The complete motor with the ECM is $800 however, as an HVAC technician, its likely a better business decision to replace both for customer satisfaction and warranty reasons.

Thank you for showing me how to do this. AC works and I saved a ton of money!

Great job Walter like your videos very lnformative
Hi, I wonder why you did replace the blower motor, I could hear it running, tanks

Are the yellow flex hoses legal for furnaces? I thought a furnace had to be connected by an actual gas pipe.
You got lucky removing the fan from the shaft, I usually have to use a fan blade puller. Impressed with your Rambo knife.
Good stuff Walt... On to the next one!
great job . hug from Brazil
Nice work 💪⚒️

Thank you Sir! You saved me time and $$$ !!!!!!!
Glad to help
Is the blower capacitor integrated into the motor? Was looking for it myself.
I have to re watch the video, but 9 out of 10, it's an ECM motor that does not have a capacitor

Nice video. Thanks man!
Why is the air filter in the attic? home owners wont go up there to change that.
Where is the capacitor on the blower motor?

10-4 Thanks
I had to wd40 and smash my knuckles to get the motor out of the squirrel cage. But the video helped me realize I wasn’t missing something

Victor said well done Walter
It didn’t come with a capacitor? You have to change that too though.
That's my question too. I don't see a capacitor anywhere. Does this motor not need one?
Ecm motors have a capacitor built in
Built in them.
My question too
I personally don't like using power tools on the blower assembly because how weak that metal is. May be paranoia but it's just who I am.
Don't go crazy with it. Light taps
Next time. Describe/explain the tools you suggest for new techs watching
