Indeed, Norway has the more "dramatic" side of the mountain range and by necessity they've had to cut their roads through them (north -> south) while our Swedish roads cut in east to west and end up in dead ends where they don't take you into Norway. Normally that's not that big a problem, but in 2020 crossing back and forth over the border to see both sides can be... uhm... difficult.

Now one year later, they opened the border like in july. BTW the first snow in Finland at northern baltic came just few days after you tried to enter FInland. It was not very normal. This year we here in northern finland got first snow in september 26. but that didn't stay more than a week. But now, in December, this is fourth month with snow here the snow that came in october 13th stayed. The swedish and norwegian sides you went, was spared from snowing, so you were in luck basically.
Exceptional things rarely happen when you plan them before - so congratulations to entering Norway. Looking forward to Nordkappen and the area up there.
Welcome to Norway:). I need to "join you" on your adventures now more than ever. This is the time of year I change my exercise program to prepare for ski season and ride more motorcycle more. Unfortunately this Sunday October 11 I was doing repairs on my house and had an "altercation" with an extension ladder and broke a bone in my left hand. That has changed my plans plus I can't work either (I do construction). So now your "Let's Go" means even more to me! Stay safe, keep riding, "take me along". Wow that was a long ride, and now another tomorrow! If you can pick up some Under Armour Cold Gear or some Smart Wool under garments to help stay warm. Both work well for me!
The best motorcycle gear is clean underwear; anywhere, any weather! As far as planning is concerned, some (most) times is best when we decide as we go. I agree with you, Noraly, in regards to not bother with the most sourthern, northern, blah, blah, points we must visit. We are free to see what we want and like. However, some people feel pressured to visit all "fashion" places.
Hope you'll be able to visit Latvia soon. I'd suggest to ride the roads by the coast of Baltic sea - a lot of sandy beaches close to the road. Welcome to the Baltics 🇱🇻🇱🇹🇪🇪
Your eyes are beautiful - captivating - your video makes me want to do what you do .... your content is more informative than what I had experienced when I was there many years ago. Happy travels ...... and keep us happy...!!!
Well, Noraly, what a disappointment not being able to get into Finland, but I salute your perseverance! What a long day, and so glad you could get into Norway without having to quarantine as previously thought. Keep on keeping on, stay safe, and as always, see you in the next video! ❤️
Netherlands is currently in the restriction class 1 for entering Finland. So that means you can enter because of family matters, if you're a student in Finland, work related reasons, or other essential personal reasons
The funny thing is that nationality really doesn’t matter in this case, since she has spent the last few weeks in Sweden. Anti-intellectual thinking and decision making from Finnish politicians.
@@Jonsson474 And how many cases might that be? Let's say a 1000 people a day try to enter the country from class 1 restricted nations. Now you're saying we should process a 1000 people a day and fact check where they've been for the last 2 weeks? Yeah, Anti-intellectual thinking.
@@Perska2411 Well if nations like USA can manage it, I’m sure even some bored border guards in northern Finland can. You just fill in a form telling where you spent the last 14 days.
Of course they are because in a welfare state, the ones paying for the party (middle class) are expected to obey laws with Prussian punctuality and because a large portion of people don't, it's a good excuse to make them pay more. In Finland 1km/h speeding gets you a ticket but at the same time, people who live on social security are free to shoplift without any consequences (don't have to pay the fine and don't have to go to prison if not paying the fine). It's no wonder that no skilled worker who has a choice, moves to Finland. Instead they get a lot of immigrants who permanently cash in with social security. A tip for Finnish voters; if you treat the taxpayers like dirt, don't expect people to wanna become tax payers in such an immoral atmosphere.
So sad that they didn't let you into Finland, was so looking forward to seeing you here in our beautiful country. Well you are welcome some other time.
I don't know when this was filmed but the border entry rules has changed week-by-week, and there's a good chance she could enter Finland via the northern part of Norway as the rules between Norway and Finland have been different than between Sweden and Finland. PS: Does not hurt to check web site and such before taking off to a border.

Hi @@gustav1002 . I think you have made that same point multiple times and so have others. Is it really useful to keep repeating how boring Finland is compared to Sweden? I'm sure there are things to be discovered in Finland that are interesting too, it's a different culture. I don't thinks it's really respectful to diss on Finland because they made a policy due to this awfull pandemic. That may be true, but let’s be honest, less planning usually means more fun.
Stay healthy and stay warm.

In Finland we have this saying... Loosely translated, "the crappiest trips bring the best stories"
" Life happens while you are making plans " - John Lennon
Dear lady, you are a wonderful rider and traveler and you have a good bike. If one place shuts you down, you always have the open roads. You just showed the world that you never back down and rode 600+KM. Hats off, enjoy your ride and vanish in the horizons!
Dont miss lofoten, the most beautiful place in Norway. Google it too se pictures.
You drive to reine then the boat to
Bodø.
Doesn't matter how far you have to go. You live on the road, and it's an amazing adventure!
I love the adventurous adaptability that you display !! That’s a long ride in one session and probably a “numb bum” for sure ! Cheers 🍻 and looking forward to more countries as you can cross into them 👍🏻🇨🇦
Norally, I admire your sense of adventure. Ride safe, and stay safe.
I love the sound of the bike.... Makes me chill out. 🥰
I guess you live in a small village. If you would live in a city you would hate it
@@joru069 in India we have this Royal Enfield bikes with louder exhaust then that bike. It's true that it's annoying when it's too loud. The bike she rides is not that loud I guess.
It must be great to ride such quiet roads in the beautiful scenery of Norway.

Noraly, in two or three days you can be in Portugal, here still 22ºc and a beautiful sun.
Fabulous scenery and fantastic food.
Listen, Norway is a gorgeous country and you will have spectacular scenery around every corner. I think you traded up.
Norway is stunning and probably my favourite country in the world. Rude drivers though.
I agree with that. And Noraly and Norway sound like an unbeatable duo, I'm sure Itchy Boots will deliver fantastic experiences from Norway.

Careful with the speed limits in Norway Noraly - the fines are massive!
We can surly cover that - don't you think so ?
Also the fines for tailgating are horrendous.
“...and when you are a little bit spontaneous.....” classic Noraly quote!!!!! Have to make a note of that one....LOL!!!!!!
LIKED, what beautiful scenery! I have added this region to my "wish list" of places to visit.
I know. I was once... 1993.

@@ib8883 that was an unexpected reply and a very immature one. Please, don’t spread negativity.
Go elsewhere for that kind of animosity.
I don't know when this was filmed but the border entry rules has changed week-by-week, and there's a good chance she could enter Finland via the northern part of Norway as the rules between Norway and Finland have been different than between Sweden and Finland. PS: Does not hurt to check web site and such before taking off to a border.

vfr 800 tourist Well, Noraly ain’t missing anything out by not visiting Finland. If you’ve been to Sweden there’s no reason to go to Finland since it’s just a copycat that has way more boring roads and views anyways.
Finns - depra nation...
No, rules dont change everyday. You can fly but cant drive to Finland. I went to Sweden from Finland for a few hours, they check the passports at every bordercross and wont let even the Swedes in. The time our car was checked, 3 cars were turned around for not having proof of finnish citizenship.
