thank god for GGG and other companies like FromSoft or Larian that still are run by people who actually care about making great games that people want to play.
can the FUCKING talk about how they decided to share everything you buy between both games like a good fucking hearted company?! they decided against money. against double dipping in our pockets and made it so its user friendly. what a great fucking W for the community. hate or love them, hate of love poe2 thats a king move right there. so much respect for that move.
I can't wait to play AC6. I can't wait to play Baldur's Gate 3. I can't wait to play PoE2.
And the best of all? I have 0 concerns about any of the games being bad. Hell, I don't even like the mecha genre and never played any of the Armored Core games but holy fuck does AC6 look good.
@@haqu123321 Honestly the fact they allowed for mtx to be shared across both games makes me want to spend more money to support the devs, and I'm sure there are others who share the same sentiments.
@@imLumineuxPoE2 wont be a separate game but a mega patch, expansion like,like Blizzard did with OW2, people carried all of their skins,emotes,etc in the second game.
@@didakisthey did confirm it's a 2nd game. None of the currently league systems will be in 2 and majority of the skills and passives have been reworked and updated to fit poe2 more. Poe 1 and poe 2 are also running on rotating schedules with their own updates. Not that dumpster fire blizzard did with OW by basically canning OW1 for 2

Ironically with how mid Diablo 4 turned out, it made me try out Path of Exile and now I'm addicted to that. So thanks D4 for introducing me to PoE

I've been actively converting friends who got D4 into poe addicts. It has been so easy to get them all hooked
D3 made me try POE and I'm at 2k hrs played now. It's a great game once you get past the intimidating depth of systems.
I wonder how mid poe2 will be seeing as how they are going for slow and tedious combat. Just like d4.

I actually really like that he died during the boss fight at the beginning. It felt more real then just seeing someone steam rolling bosses and feels more down to earth. I only touched POE but now im gonna try it out for real and then going to get POE2 100%

11 minutes in, game director plays the game, live demo. That's a whole other level. Imagine the game devs / directors at Blizz or Bethdesda having to do that. I'd play money for that even...
i mean Bethesda gives pretty awesome showcases of their games. The Starfield presentation was great, as was Fallout 4's and Skyrims.

Lol, I know. First Blizzard game I've played for less than a week and barely enjoyed in the process. Well, apart from HotS which lasted me a few hours at max. Just seeing the reveal trailer alone for PoE2 made me instantly go "fml..."
As an asmongold viewer you should feel extra stupid lol he doesnt praise PoE for no reason.
Already spend more time on Diablo 4 then most games I played in my life. And seeing Blizzard support of Diablo 2, Diablo 3 etc. its looking really promising for the future of D4.
D4 got its money worth with the campaign alone. Not to mention you arent forced to replay it unless you want to.

GGG did well flying out so many content creators to take part in the event. The passion in the community adds so much to the announcements for the game's future. Been having a blast following along so far :)
I think we all can feel that the developers love the game they are making and really want us to also. Thanks to real gamers making fun games RIP D4 sad i will have to wait 3 seasons to get a somewhat finish product.

No surprise they decided to split the games up. Finding a middle ground between thoughtful combat and zooming through maps was just to wide a gap to reconcile
Also for the clever update release scheduling and combined paid for content that keep players invested in playing poe
I love how PoE devs focus on FUN!
Unlike dirty blizzardos that focus on retention - like, make things take longer to force more playtime 🤮

They're playing it longer than me and a new character in season 1, and I was a hardcore arpg player lol. I'm done with d4 for now, it's boring and the itemization sucks. Season 1 didn't do it for me.

I'm so proud of how far POE has gotten over the years and so amazed at the development and innovations for POE2. GREAT JOB to the devs :)
Path of Exile took me 2-3 leagues to fall in love with it.
My first, I had no idea what I was doing. It took me like 2 weeks to just beat the campaign.
Second league I was equipped with my knowledge of skills and support gems but ran into character build problems.
Third league I just hit that sweet spot.
I understood skills, item stats and what differences iLvl makes, cluster gems and all the passives and ascendancies made sense too.
Nothing beats the feeling of finding an item worth 60 Exalts. Listing it for 10Ex because you're dumb and getting over 1000 messages in 5 minutes, so you Alt+f4 and panic wondering just by how much you underlisted it for.
99.9999 % sittingh here whining dont even have the time needed to play POE, or even learn the skull tree,.,, HEHEH

Played Diablo with my Dad decades ago and those are some of the most cherished memories I have with him
Somehow Bliz got even me to play PoE, impressive
I also remember that Kripp & Chris Wilson video from the early days - Kripp was the main reason I got into PoE, and it was the game that actually made me understand the appeal of ARPGs and come to love them. I've not been a non-stop player but I've come back many times over the years, and it's still something special. I was so impressed by what they showed here - really interesting new systems, it's clear that they considered things that they felt didn't really work in PoE1 and how they could improve them. It's gonna be an agonizing year waiting to play it!
Comparing Activisions budget to GGG, it's absolutely disgusting that Diablo 4 doesn't include so many of these features.
D4 wasn't being a good competitor so GGG decided they'd just do it themselves and have 2 ARPGs.
to be fair, D4 has all the numbers. Not gained through quality of product, but from riding off the coattails of the developers of D1/D2 through name recognition, superior advertisement money, player maninupation and empty promises. It will all catch up with them eventually though. Even the casuals will get bored and pissed.

They don't " care", Chris Wilson even had the nerve to state they only need X number of players to stay afloat. The guy doesn't even play his own game, he admits he sucks at it. Also they care more about the precious economy than the player experience.

I got into ARPG’s at the right time I guess! Randomly bought Diablo 4 and loved it so much I bought Diablo 2 and 3. Been wanting to try POE but I’m a little intimidated by all the expansions/mechanics but with POE2, a brand new game, it’ll be a blast to join in
PoE has tutorials about mechanics right from the start
poe2 will have all these expansions and mechanics and even more, so don't be stubborn, when you will start learning you will be in love with poe already
Diablo 2 still has the best loot system ever created. Runes should still be a thing.

@@dudex765 PoE definitely requires a time investment at first to learn and personally I would recommend also following a build guide at first and watching a couple videos on crafting or maps once you get there so you can get going. The time sacrifice to learn the game will pay off big in the end tho its a great game.

GGG and Larian are both killing it right now! I LOVE the passion they have for their work. It's refreshing to see after years of these other studios just crapping out quarter baked products and their "fix it as we go.. maybe" mentality.
I think it makes sense why Blizzard rushed the D4 out. If it came out after PoE2, no one would have bought it for $80. We just got scammed and naively believed Blizzard would have made the game with full contents. But what we got was a $80 cinematic video and some playable content.
I'm a new to path of exile started playing it after the shitty D4 patch and haven't looked back.
That was sick. Never played poe before but nevertheless, that ish makes me happy to be a Kiwi.
Blizzard wants to sell you stash tabs. For a $100 game. Let that sink in.
I haven’t played Path of Exile before, it seems daunting to get into, but after playing Diablo 4 for 50 hours, I ready to try anything.
It can be - there's too much depth to it to learn on one playthrough. But if you give it a go, get a character as high of level as you like, you'll learn a lot. Roll a new character, or just put it down for a few months and come back later - you'll pick up more on your 2nd play and so on. Following a build guide helps you progress in the game until you understand it more, but there's very complex builds and others that are much more simple and I suggest the latter. If it's a SSF-ish build, it'll be simple enough to get you figuring out the game, but it'll lack the end game delete-a-boss capabilities that are out there.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa... whoa. Did I just see @23:54 them placing a key item on a pedestal and the door instantly opening without waiting 5 seconds? I didn't think the technology existed. Plus there seems to be little to no cool downs, so I get to have fun 95% of the time instead of 5% of the time? It's like these devs are playing their own game.
The quality of that fans speaks for itself. D4 was my gateway drug but I’m definitely gonna be jumping on PoE2.

I feel bad honestly. Should have waited for a sale. I bought it cause I fairly enjoyed D3 for months. But after finishing D4 campaign, its just so boring. I went back to POE immediately. I started playing POE in 2020 and still enjoying the game. D4 didn't even last a month.
The combat looks like combat and I like that I hate that on D4 only 2 classes can actually dodge lol

THe walk animation in particular looks so much better than what i've seen in diablo 4 where it's really stiff.
I love the little camera shake when he’s casting spells. Really makes your character feel powerful. Awesome game and the graphics are a lot better and polished than Diablo 4
What actually could end up with POE2 timing , many new players who learned about ARPGS through D4 will try out POE2
I've tried out PoE only because D4 was about to release, had a blast. Got D4 with my gpu purchase for free and I would've had big buyers remorse if I paid any money for it. Cleared capstone for wt4 at lvl56 and quit after because the only other goal left was to beat Lilith and I'm not mindlessly grinding just because it's gated at lvl100

I remember seeing all the vaal ice nova builds in legion and I decided to go for it. I made a ice nova magic finder and it was one of the best times I had in a long time, nothing after that really topped it

Never gave PoE a fair shake, started the first time during harvest and it was madness trying to learn. Giving it another shot now on standard to learn the game. Can’t wait to try 2 though.

Ive still been trying to play D4 with the new season, but it just doesnt feel fun. PoE seems super awesome, and seeing PoE2 and the new expansion trailer for PoE has convinced me to try it out.

I've also heard people complain about POE's graphics quality, but to be honest I think the game looks *_fantastic_* for a title that's a *_full decade_* old.

the Gem system was such a liberating innovation for the genre. now it's really getting into its own, maturing, and it's incredible to see.
The vaal boss that shoots lasers didn't just lay down when it died. If you look closely, the soul core fell off and you can see him reach for it with his arm-leg as he dies/powers down.
I could never really get into PoE when i was playong D3. But considering how D4 turned out, im definitely playing PoE2
I like D4 but man I'm super excited for POE2. So excited that if it's so great, I honestly just might switch.

its amazing how much more content a game thats not even in beta testing has compared to a game thats already in its first season. I do enjoy Diablo 4, but I'm very excited for PoE 2. It seems like it's very well thought and and people actually care.

I was lucky enough to be a tester on PoE. Before they came out with the packs etc you could purchase and gain access, their forums had a 'lottery system'. I waited and watched for a long while until i checked the forums one day and saw my ign on that board. I had a pretty fun experience playing PoE even back then.
Diablo franchise and PoE .. its a match made in heaven(or hell lol). 2 companies, 2 games pushing each other to do better. Nothing bad could come from that
It feels weird to be old enough to remember the days where Blizzard showed every other game company how it's done, to now see PoE do the same to them...
Notice how 75% of the presentation was gameplay and systems and 25% buisness. Not the other way around.
