Excellent overview of one sweet runner of a rifle. As a left handed shooter this and the Savage Impulse Big Game have me intrigued. Sadly the Beretta doesn’t come in the cartridges that I am most interested in, that being the the 300 WSM, 7 mm PRC or 280 AI, but it does come in 300 Win Mag which is in my Top 5 options for a western backcountry rifle and cartridge
I'm with you there... Euro rifles are often YEARS behind America in adopting new cartridges. Hopefully at least the 7mm PRC will eventually be available, but for now as you point out the .300 WM is a terrific option.
@@BackcountryHuntingPodcast yes they most certainly are YEARS behind the curve in adopting newer popular cartridges. Evidence by even the popular manufacturer of Tikka. Sadly they don’t offer a left handed 300 WSM with a muzzle brake just the SS T3X Lite, so before Shot Show they were running a rebate on their rifles and I was going to go with either the 300 WM or 7 REM Mag in their Roughtech Wideland model in left hand. But I waited to see if Tikka would bring a 7 mm PRC to market since they offer 6.5 PRC but they didn’t and I missed out on the opportunity for a rebate. Plus I saw that Bergara has the new B14 Sierra Wilderness in left hand available in 7 mm PRC and 300 WM. I have been waiting for those to become available for purchase in the states and even though it’s Q2 they are STILL NOT available for purchase before the fall season. 😔
4:02 I lucked out in 2023, Scheels was selling off all their Norma Bondstrike in 30-06 for $1 a round. I got 200rds of it. Figured it’ll either be a good bullet to hunt with, or I can shoot it all and reload all that high quality Norma Brass.

When you support the hand guard with your off hand on bipods, you minutely lighten the front end and allow it to move. Let the bipod to its thing and don’t be afraid to lean into it.
I just looked at one of these last week. I don’t know that it’s for me but an interesting design. I am curious, could a person set it up with the bolt on your dominant side but have it eject on the other side so you could catch brass with your support hand? That would be sweet for handloaders.

As a lefty who has never been willing to buy a left handed rifle this is really appealing.
It's a great concept, and seems to be a really solid rifle...
I am a lefty and thats why I bought a beretta cx4 storm as you can change things on it and now I am looking at getting the brx1 for the same reason

Norma made ammo for Weatherby for years before they started making their own and Norma brass is one of the best for the price 🙌
