I picked one of these up a few years ago and really like it. Happy that all the parts are relatively easy to get. The drip tray is much larger and easier to get in and out than the Silvia's - which is one thing I hated about those machines. I've seen a version of these called Kathy, that's essentially the same except there's a plumbable waterline, not a water tank. It's big though...
@@espressorestomelbourne1735 I think it is. I've stripped it down, it was cover in coffee oil. I've cleaned it and put it back together and it's seems to be working fine now. Now shure if I cured it, or just brought myself some time.
Definitely sounds like you will be good for a while. Keep back flushing the group with an espresso cleaner like Cafeto. This will reduce the build up in the valve and keep it functioning. One day the coil might die but it can be replaced. Good work!
@@espressorestomelbourne1735 Thanks, I've found you on facebook as well. I love the picture you've posted on 26th Jan. There's an atomic espresso in the back ground. I have one as well, mine is before the steam spout. It was my first coffee machine lol
Convenient to have the grinder and espresso machine together. If I had one again, I would install the more recent V3+ Silvia ball jointed wand with more than 1 hole tip. I found the steam flow to be pretty extreme.
@@espressorestomelbourne1735 As I am pretty much an espresso-only drinker one of the advantages of the Silvia is you never have to look for the switch to turn off the steam boiler. My steam wand is pretty wonky (but still functions)being a V1 and I have looked at replacing it. I looked at the newer steam wand and for the life of me, I could not find the gold fittings. At $110cdn it must contain a precious metal to be that overpriced;)
It is a boiler machine and there is no ready light as such. When you switch it on it will heat up the boiler to brew temp. The element light will be on during the heating phase. when the element light goes out it has reached temp. Might be worth waiting another 5 minutes or so after that to allow the boiler temp to settle.
Hi Nam, a lot of parts are interchangeable but there are definitely unique parts. Best to find and explosion diagram and see if you can identify common part numbers. Good luck

I have one, great machine. Currently trying to fix the three way valve
Is the 3 way the same as the Silvia?

Can I ask where can I find spare parts for this machine? Can the boiler and grouphead exchangeable with Rancilio Silvia? Thanks
I remember hearing of these many many years ago.

Can you please tell me where is the coffee/steam ready indicator? Or is it a heat exchanger, not a boiler?

Sweet video. Price?
At this stage I would look at offers >750 AUD
worth getting a used one with aftermarket PID and rebuilt in 2020, for 1000? (CAD)
Not a DEAL but a fair price considering you are getting Silvia with PID and Rocky in one machine
I have one of these and love it. Does anyone know if the Silvia group head gaskets fit these models?
Hi Brady, essentially it is a Silvia with a Rocky grinder in the same box. So the Silvia gasket is fine. James
@@espressorestomelbourne1735 thanks so much!
