「了解です」「いいですよ」英語で正しく言ってみよう！| 「It's OK・That's OK」の使い方、間違ってませんか？

たまに日本の方と話してると、彼らの「That’s OK・It’s OK」の使い方がアメリカでの使い方とは違う時がありました。それで、「That’s OK・It’s OK」の正しい使い方と、使えない場合、「了解です」「いいですよ」をアメリカ人は代わりに何を言うかについて説明してみます。 ちなみに I mention two videos I previously uploaded. You can reference them here:

日本語でも「大丈夫です」とか「いいです」って言うと否定の言葉になる場合がありますね。
この表現に関して、何度勉強しても結局理解できない難しいものです。ただ、アメリカ人の友人は、That works/ Sounds great などでしか、返事は来ませんし、英語で喋っている間にもほぼ今回の表現は聞いたことないです。英会話の先生（アメリカ人）は、この表現を使う時は、やはりなんかそっけない感じの時に使っています。
日本語の「大丈夫です」「いいです」は柔らかい断り文句としても使えます。普通は表情や状況でどちらなのか区別するのは容易ですが、混乱を招くこともあります。英語表現・日本語表現がそれぞれそうなったのは偶然でしょうが、興味深いことです。
考えてみると本当にそうですね。言語って面白いですね＾＿＾
今回のテーマについて、それぞれのフレーズのニュアンスが理解できました。私はいい加減にごっちゃに使ってました。会話の相手には情緒不安定な人に思われてますね。反省です汗💦

英語にも遠回しな表現があるんですね。「It's ok、結構です 」と 「OK いいよ」でもニュアンスが変わりますか？worksは機能するみたいな感じですかね。
It's OK＝結構です OK＝いいよで大体いいと思います！
That Worksも「いいよ」になります。

Language nuances ですね
大変、勉強になりました。私からも、一つアドヴァイスを差し上げましょう。”Let's say I'm at the restaurant, I finish my meal and the waiter comes by.”のsayを「言う」と直訳する事はできません。何をおっしゃってるのか理解は出来ます。でも、こういう場合は、「・・・ウエイターが来たとしましょう。」と言うのが、自然な日本語です。この「しましょう」は、「～だと仮定しましょう」の略式だと考えると分かり易いです。
あ、確かにそうですね、日本語だと、「〜だとしましょう」といいますね。詳しく教えてくださって本当にありがとうございます、大変勉強になりました！

When asked "Can you do wednesday?"
- "Perfect!" sounds a little strange, but we will understand what you mean. Perfect can be used as a response, but in other situations. It doesn't sound rude or anything.
- "Super!" is not something we say in America in any situation.

言葉の表面だけを英語に変換すると、伝えたいニュアンスが異なることが多くありますね。
Could you explain the difference between "It's OK !" and "That's OK !", if there is any ?
Hello! Thank you for your question. In many cases, you can say either one -- they're used interchangeably; however, there is one difference I can think of: it's okay can be used in this format: "it's okay to [verb]." (〜してもいい、〜しても大丈夫). For example, "it's okay to take some time off if you're stressed." But we don't say "That's okay to...."
In the first case, if she answers with Yes first, it does not make the misunderstanding?
How about just ”OK“ or “I am Ok.”?
When asked "can you do wednesday"
- If you say "Yes" or "OK" that is fine.
- If you say "Yes, it's OK" then it's fine but it just sounds a little strange (not something we would say.)
- "I am OK" sounds weird and could be a bit confusing. I'm OK is closer to 平気です。

1. The same thing can happen in Japanese. For example, when a scammer asks you "These are cosmetics for a woman like you. Do you like them?" and you answer "いいです", it has a double meaning. One means "They're great. I'll take one(いいですね。買います)" The other means "No, thank you(結構です)" The government often warns that if a stranger pushes you to buy something on the phone, you should clearly say "No". If you answered "いいです", they could assume that you would buy it. So, "いいです" might have a similar meaning or role to "It's OK" in terms of ambiguity.
2. Can we ask someone "Is Wednesday OK for you?" Also, in that case, can we answer "It's OK" instead of "Sounds good"? I don't feel like we can use that phrase. Because "Is Wednesday OK for you?" sounds like "Are you doing OK on Wednesday".

edit: I just found out that "I'm doing OK" doesn't mean "I'm fine". A: How are you? B: OK. I just learned that this "OK" also doesn't mean "Great".
You can ask "Is Wednesday OK for you?" And to this question, I would personally respond "Yes, Wednesday works" "Yes, Wednesday sounds great" or something like that.
And great point re: your edits - "I'm doing OK" sounds like「大丈夫です」。For example, let's say somebody broke up with her boyfriend. Her friend might ask, "and how are you doing? Are you doing OK?" Then the friend might respond, "Yeah, I'm doing OK."
Many Chinese speakers make the same kind of mistakes
