Your confidence has to be sky high about now. Very good start to the season coming off your AOY.
On the trap in shallow grass, are you slow rolling it just above the grass? My favorite way to fish a lipless is yoyoing it and I have never really used it around grass beds that much.

There’s no wrong way to fish the lipless! I was using a steady slow retrieve this event but typically I like a yo yo!
