This may sound a bit strange but I have only recently discovered you, absolutely love your quilts and I think you’re pretty neat too. I have so enjoyed learning all about you and I am a huge fan already thank you for sharing.

Hi Bonnie just want to say I have one of those lights and I hang a 4" piece of black fabric over my daylight lamp to keep the light focused down and not in my eyes I hang those tiny pegs off it to keep it in place and tape it at one end, a thing of beauty lol ... But it works.
Just caught up on your quiltcam, I'm a big fan of string/strip quilts. I usually attend the Washington State Quilters show every fall here in Spokane, and have gone to smaller quilt shows in the surrounding area - Tri-Cities, Coeur d'Alene, etc. Drove over to the Puyallup Sewing Expo a few years back, but it's held at the end of Feb/early March and it's always a white-knuckle drive over Snoqualmie Pass in the Cascade Mountains to get there! I hauled my older sister with me (a non-sewing person) to the Portland Quilt Expo a few years back, took the Max Light Rail from their home in Gresham, 20 miles east of Portland, to the NW end of the Max line where the Expo was located. She was very impressed with the quilts. It's always lots of fun to see what people are making. I did see a collection of 'corporate art' quilts at the Tacoma Art Museum about 20 years ago - HUGE quilts that could only be displayed in large venues by people with big enough dollars to buy them! Yvonne Porcella's 'Snow on Mount Fugi' kimono was one of the installations there. Spectacular!
I have won a couple of ribbons at the WSQ show, received 2nd place for a quilted jacket and the Spokane Art Director's Award for my parrot quilt I designed from the colors in a piece of 'parrot's wing' mineral I had purchased at the annual Gem and Mineral Show here - combination of turquoise, malachite, chrysacolla, jasper and azurite. Just a gorgeous stone.
Love your Quilt-Cam, always get more ideas than I have time to implement, and you are a literal fountain of quilt information and knowledge of the old sewing machines! Have fun in your travels!

There is a big quilt show near me. Lake farm parks. Our local park system here near Cleveland Ohio has a almost month long quilt show. It is fantastic

Hi bonnie, sorry I miss you live today. I was out to my eye doctor getting my check up, it went pretty well. My I'm a newbie in quilting and I have to very careful with dark colored and print fabrics. Bonnie love all you do with quilting, thanks so much.😊
Only attend the Pacific International Quilt Show at the Santa Clara Convention Center in California each year. After participating and running many guild quilt shows over the last 30 years and attending most quilt shows held by other local quilt guilds within 100 miles from my home I have found I am not as interested any longer

No, it depends on the brand of machine and the position of the hinge pins.

usually phone book paper..I do as well in Australia! the ink is fine doesn't spread on fabrics at all!
No, I don't go to shows. Sadly i live in a city that has the AQS show but i don't even know anyone that went to it locally. Hmmm, things are changing.

I've never been to a quilt show. I live in the middle of New York State (Utica) and have never even seen seen anything advertised! I've heard my hairdresser talk about Paduka (sp) and how much fun she has going there, but she never says WHERE it is.
