Quilt-Cam 6/19/2019

Live from the Quiltville Post Office for the first time! Internet connection isn't too great, a bit fuzzy but we hope to remedy that. That's just part of living extremely rural! 1925 Singer 99 machine, Quilt assembly in progress!

Bonnie--thank you for Quilt Cam. My mother and I used to sew/quilt together. Since she passed away 3 1/2 years ago, I often don't want to work in my studio. Watching Quilt Cam is like sewing with a buddy and I enjoy working on a project while I listen/watch. ❤️

Hi Bonnie from S. E. Idaho. My first time watching live but I have been watching your past videos in order. Hope to get caught up someday! I also love the vintage machines and currently have 6. A Featherweight, that is one year and two days younger than I. The others I have not researched to find their birthdates. I have 2 Singer treadles, one of which I just purchased in Wyoming two weeks ago. It's been refurbished and looks and works fantastic. I love treadles as my grandmother taught me to sew and quilt on hers years ago! I enjoy watching your quilt cam and learn so much from you!

Oh, Bonnie, this is so exciting to see you from the Quiltville P.O.!!! Thanks for the great tip on the stay stitching the outside AND about the pressure. I tried to sew a single layer through my Janome by was getting ruffling. I'll have to try and adjust the machine so I can stay stitch my long borders. And yes, I learn something new when watching you sew. You provide great tips even when we think we know a lot about sewing. Wishing you safe travels.
