My favourite part of doing dishes is when your finger starts squeaking against the plate when you're rubbing it and you know that you're plate has been clean to perfection that part is the most satisfying for me
Most men have no idea how hot it is for us women to see a man doing something as simple as cooking or washing the dishes, because it shows that he can do the basic without asking for help, it's different from what most of us are used to and that is having fathers and brothers who fake incompetence to not do basic chores. This kind of thing is out of common and rare, so it's more desirable. Also, when a man is washing the dishes and his gf or wife gives him a backhug must feel really nice.
yep dishes is one of my faves, even despite the wrinkly hands i get in the end, i just like the satisfaction of feeling no grease, no oil, no stain utensils, and all doing this while listening to music. i do sometimes get too caught up with trying to make each one clean that i tend to take longer than usual cause i keep trying to scrub and clean off even the parts that are difficult to reach/clean (like the inbetweens in forks). sweeping floors not so much because i barely see the dust i sweep, plus with turning off the fan makes me sweaty, which causes my glasses to be more slippery, which makes the experience more uncomfortable. i do like the satisfaction of collecting dusts and stuffs and putting them in one final sweep in the dust pan. i also used to enjoy using coconut husks (bunot) or just rags back when we wax floors. it's a bit of a workout, but it's kinda fun to sweep the floor like you're dancing
I'm ambivalent about washing the dishes. On one hand, it's therapeutic and satisfying to see the clean plates afterwards. On the other, the gunk and all the food falling off is gross 😭 I love it and hate it at the same time
When I feel stuck and I feel like My work never ends or I can’t finish it, washing dishes feels nice, because I can see one by one the dishes got cleaned and have controlled on what I did.
No no no, the best chore is switching out your bed sheets or vacuuming the carpet! Washing the dishes is the second worst chore only after doing the laundry.
