Tip, if there is a bit of egg shell in the bowl when your making eggs, use another piece of the shell to get it out rather than your fingers which can be frustrating, works instantly
Grego here's a simple quick hash brown recipe. Pierce potato with fork or knife 5 times so it wont explode. Microwave potato wrapped/ or bowl covered for 6-7 minutes, cut in half, place cut sides down into a pan of hot bacon grease (left from frying your strips of bacon) or oil, smash/ flatten down like a pancake with a Spatula, cook until golden browned on both sides. Salt, serve with ketchup.
