it's so cool to watch the dynamic between them. Wes is very passive and careful while Jason is picking up and pointing at everything and talking excitedly, lol, love them.
"This is a very violent kind of horrifying movie I don't know quite what to say about it...I think it might be too much" Title of the video should of been Wes Anderson reviews 300
Wow, watching this in 2022 made me cry and laugh at the same time. I'm totally in love with everything Wes Anderson has made so far. The best director and most interested human being. The Grand Budapest Hotel is a masterpiece.
I sorta thought they were gonna pull out one of Wes’ old movies, Rushmore, or Bottle Rocket or something and it would be one of those ironic moments were he pickes up one of his own movies.
Just watched Wes Anderson movie "Asteroid City", starring Jason S. and numerous A-list actors. Kind of artsy film which I really enjoyed. Hope it comes out in DVD soon to add to my movie collection.
This is pretty much just the best thing ever. _Wes Anderson_ and _Jason Schwartzman_ promoting _The Darjeeling Limited_ and discussing _music_ . I wish I was there, getting my disc signed! Ahh... 🥰
Wes Anderson is so freaking agreeable in these. He knows what to say to never dominate the scene and make his colleagues look good. No wonder other actors love being in his productions.
Jason clearly still thinks of Wes as the adult that directed him in Rushmore, he thinks he's much cooler than Wes. Wes, on the other hand, is so fucking badass. Not much talk, but all the substance you'll ever need.
I think it's the difference in an actor and director. Jason is use to being in front of the camera and Wes behind it. So their personalities make sense to me.
Love these two, luckily got to meet Wes during a premier screening of Steve Zissou but for me this was a great traveling back and getting inside a Borders media section for a few
Here after the asteroid city trailer came out. Seriously can’t wait for this move. It’s my new most anticipated movie that I anticipate everyday until it comes out 😂
Jason dominates the conversation in the music section but then Wes comes to life as soon as they come around to the movie racks
LOL Colin - exactly!
I think because Swartzman is a musician as well as an actor it's to be expected.
Literally me. In my friend group my friends talk about all sorts of music and then I dominate movie conversations
Wes: That's a...
Jason: Messed up movie.
Wes: ...cult classic.
I laughed audibly at that
I like how this is comment-

Wes Anderson is a beautiful creature to watch
'That's....well received', so salty I love it
I like how Wes looked out of his element in the music section, but Jason didn't. When movies rolled along, they switched roles completely lol
Which is odd because all his movies have a great soundtrack/ tracklist. I’d would’ve assumed he was a music buff
@@FF-ch9nr he has a good ear but also has a great team helping him. Randall Poster is the music supervisor for a number of of Wes' films.
Jason Schwartzmann is a musician
Why does Wes feel like Jason's babysitter lmao
Size difference
I love how Anderson is just like hanging around in the background awkwardly when Schwartzman is talking.
Is it odd to say that Wes Anderson speaks like a Wes Anderson character? He's so oddly captivating with his trailing thoughts.
Edward Norton said in an interview that every actor tries to act like Wes.

honestly same with jason
not odd at all, Wes Anderson cowrites a lot of his movies so all the characters distinct speaking styles probably come from him
Wes Anderson - "Spanglish. That's.... well-received."
it's so cool to watch the dynamic between them. Wes is very passive and careful while Jason is picking up and pointing at everything and talking excitedly, lol, love them.

wes : *picks up a dvd*
jason : lemme tap on it

Watching this in 2021 and all I can think about is how much I miss big bookstores like this.
"I like the photograph..."
"the notebook, the girls love that." hahaha
Jason's responds. Yes it's good. Lol
It's so adorable how Wes is just smiling and handing Jason the records
Wes Anderson seems like a magnificent creature and I want all of him.
Slow your roll sister lol
"Haven´t seen it, have you seen it?"
"...no."
i love how wes was just roaming around. like a ghost just gliding through
"This a very horrifying movie... I'm not quite sure what to say about it.. it maybe a bit too much!" lol
Which movie was it?

"What are your favorite books on tape?" - Wes Anderson
I could watch these two wander around looking at movies and music all day. They're awesome.
wes: "how long is it?"
Jason: "it runs into the night"
"This is a very violent kind of horrifying movie I don't know quite what to say about it...I think it might be too much"

Holy god this was when Borders was a thing I miss borders
Thanks Emma. Good times...
Wes is so adorable
I can't imagine Rushmore without Jason Swartzman. These two complete each other.
this is funnier than it was supposed to be
I agree sooo awkward lmbo
I can't get my mind around the fact that Wes Anderson has watched 300.
Zack Snyder is the MAN! 🔥
RIP Borders

Wes: “This is a good one, The Right Stuff. You know who’s in this?”
Jason: “The right to stuff?”
Wes: “Yes.”
Wow, watching this in 2022 made me cry and laugh at the same time. I'm totally in love with everything Wes Anderson has made so far. The best director and most interested human being. The Grand Budapest Hotel is a masterpiece.
I love how the "books on tape" part sounds like they are just reading names off the shelf.
I love both of their voices so much
I've always had a crush on Jason
Wes Anderson, is one of the greatest film directors of all time, and he has such a great taste in music and movies.
I have watched this video an unhealthy amount of times, practically memorized it XD
(looking at The Right Stuff).
"Do you know who's in this one?"
"The Right-uh Stuff."
"Yes. Great Cast."
The Darjeeling Limited- one of my favourite films!
"How long is the running time?"
"Into the night..."
i love how wes is just this looming figure, quietly picking up cds, while jason runs around frantically
I like how Anderson is kind of directing as they go along, especially towards the end.
Interesting to hear Schwartzman mention Swann's Way, since it's the book that Cate Blanchett is reading to her unborn child in The Life Aquatic.
If I was into dudes, these are the types of guys I'd find attractive.

I appreciate this video. I feel that it's genuine.
I really need my own Wes Anderson to follow me around Borders telling me what film to buy. It would save so much wasted time, really.
I sorta thought they were gonna pull out one of Wes’ old movies, Rushmore, or Bottle Rocket or something and it would be one of those ironic moments were he pickes up one of his own movies.
I was waiting for that during the whole vid
Yes.
I'm disappointed Jason didn't pick up a Phantom Planet record. lol
Passive excitement.
I love what Wes says about 300. You can apply it to every Zack Snyder film
Just watched Wes Anderson movie "Asteroid City", starring Jason S. and numerous A-list actors. Kind of artsy film which I really enjoyed. Hope it comes out in DVD soon to add to my movie collection.
"How about this? Huey Lewis and the News." Jason schwartzman pulls out an axe.
Darjeeling Limted was a fantastic film and this video is amazing.
Be still my heart, this man is adorable!!!!!

If I ever went to a signing of Wes Anderson and Jason Schwartzman, I would actually cry.
i'm so glad that jason schwartzman likes the office
Wes is awkward in an amazing way! He's is just awesome...
[And I love his little laugh at 6:41]
Wes Anderson liking Lynnrd Skynnrd is something I never expected.
I love them so much omfg.
I love this so much. Also I think Eric Anderson's filming this - his laugh at 2.34 gives it away.
Wes Anderson is so freaking agreeable in these. He knows what to say to never dominate the scene and make his colleagues look good. No wonder other actors love being in his productions.
I Miss being able to go to a video store and roaming the isles. This felt nostalgic
They're both adorable
Jason's self promo was so shameless
Thank you very much for sharing with us😍😍
0:50 funny hearing him say his own name.
Seeing two awesome people hanging with that much physical media...so sad in 2021 :(
These guys deserve a Criterion Closet Picks video together
I guess you have to be stoned to appreciate this video.

Oh my god Jason is so cute.

I'd say that the cameraman's laugh at about 2mins 35secs is a giveaway to his identity.
Jacam Eric Anderson, right ?
dunno but cameras sucked back then.
This is my new favourite video

aw awesome.
"I'll keep that in mind" to half of Wes's choices!
love Jason!
they are so cute i am on my knees
i would do anything to go back to 2007 for these vibes. i miss borders so much
i've listened to jason's band, it's really good
"Ash, very nice. Love them" Anyone else thinks it's ironic that Jason plays a character in Fantastic Mr. Fox named Ash.
Everything Jason sez is tinged w/ irony. HIs is an ironically tinged existence.
Ryan Gosling's "The Notebook"
I love when he said, "I like this record a whole lot."
I think that's the most I've ever heard Wes Anderson speak
I love these two
They're so cute
jason has great taste in music
JEEEEESUUUUUUS JASON IS SO ADORABLE
I used to hang at this Borders all the time. I miss it. Love seeing my favorite actor and one of my favorite directors browsing the same place I have.
why can't my friends be like them
That was interesting. Think it's great how he mentions One Hour Photo, it's a very underrated film and i can understand why Wes likes it.
