This just goes to show, everybody loves different styles of names--so there is no point in saying a name is the worst ever because someone else will think it is amazing. (I personally dislike "Snowrush" and Lionblaze as names.)
Appledusk does sound nice. It reminds me of a red sunset. Even if the name combination makes no sense, it is a beautiful name.

WELL, Sunstar is actually a cat. Yeah, I don't think 'cat' is a suffix, either, but screw that. Good job. There's actually a difference between blue and indigo, as well as doe and deer, sun and star, and storm and tornado. Blue is a type of colour, indigo is more specified. Doe specifies and deer is only a type. Sun is a title, the star is the actual thing. Storm is the type of thing, tornado is the specified thing. Spark and fire and completely different. So... Yeah.
1. This is one big joke calm down, I know all of that already, there is also a difference between twig and branch, the point is they're similar and it's still stupid.

Honestly after knowing sparkpelt's name, I was pissed because it's so boring. I would've forgiven it if we hadn't see spark as a lively, spirited character. Not saying she should get sparkfire because honestly, naming after relatives became so redundant within the books now. Sparkstorm would've been a nice nod to her personality or her grandmother even. Hell for such an adept hunter, sparkwhisker or sparkgaze even. Just like spark, twig is such a wasted potential
Sparkstorm does actually sound very cool, and much more fitting for her spunky personality. I honestly don't care much for Sparkpelt either, but I think its better than the alternative. Sparkpelt just seems like another measurement in how the creativity of the series is drained.

Apparently, The Erins wanted to name Twigbranch, Twigshade but the editors decided against it. Also, when I first started making OCs, I named one Icefrost. Ice and frost are literally the same thing.

For one thing, Twigshade rolls of your tounge in a unique, verbally pleasing way, unlike Twigbranch.
Another thing, SHADE as a suffix is the complete opposite of SHINE as a suffix. Twigshade, Violetshine. They would match.

well, it is strange to name your kit after a running nose, and there would be no other suffix for him besides -nose, which i think it’s unfair. a name , in my opinion, should tell their appearance in terms of fur and/or personality, and naming cats after their injuries just seems rude to me. althought, this is only my opinion.
I mean Runningwind, too. There are plenty of other names for the prefix "Running", even if his nose had stopped running.

My friend is really into warriors.. but when she didn’t know about it, I told her about it, and we played outside.
I told her kits have the word, ‘Kit’ at the end of their names, apprentices have ‘paw’ at the end of their names, and warriors have anything remotely towards cats and their knowledge span.
I chose my name as Dappleleaf... she chose- and I’m not kidding- Smoothlightning..

This is only a suggestion but what if Ceder-Star saw a bat? and at the time confused it for a mouse or rat with wings. And since Mouse-Wing was known as Mouse-Paw at the time he couldn't just call him Rat wing that would be mean and he could of seen it as a sign from Star-Clan as what to call him. Also, Doe has another meaning other than deer. Dove. And since we already had 'Dove-Wing' they had to be creative. But honestly. I love how somebody else sees how naming can be a huge thing. Sometimes there are names that at first glance make no sense but you just gotta look at another angle and sees if it works. If no angle works then it shouldn't be used.
These names are almost as bad as Skyclan’s sub plot :)

Ps. I really wish Sparkpelt’s name was Sparkfire. The prefix has so much potential to be a cool warrior name but then was paired with what I find to be the most boring suffix in the series.

It can be, but “pelt” is just so bland. The prefix “spark” had so much potential for a spunky, energetic and unique name that could really match who the character is and ugh they ruined it.
Here’s just a few actually cool names with that prefix:
Sparkstorm (could have been in honor of Sandstorm)
Sparksplash (that’s more fitting for RiverClan, but I still like it)

Sparkshine (probably not since we already have Violetshine but I like it)

I named my character "otterflight" but for a reason,
Otter - the camp was surrounded by waters and often otters came by.
Flight - because she always wanted to escape reality and fly away.
So, otterflight.
It doesnt have to make sense like "ottertail" and "falconflight" because it makes sense for the reasoning.
PREFIX- Otter - Reason: A common animal that often came by.
SUFFIX- flight - reason: because she wanted to escape reality.
I have an OC called Rainheart.
PREFIX- Rain - Reason: Whenever she hears raindrops, it reminds her of her heartbeat, the little rainbeats in her heart that drives her through life, that revive her when she feels like all is lost
SUFFIX- Heart - Reason: She is a sincere character and is stubborn to give up
Hope you like her XD I know that there was already a Tomcat called Rainheart but I only found out until AFTER I had come up with her backstory etc. because I've only read Into The Wild. "Heart" is a suffix very overused, but I hope it was used well for my OC, Please give me your feedback!

Twigbranch is a pretty sucky name
But I like to tell myself this:
Twigs are small, and fragile. Twigpaw is a fragile character, one who’s not into fighting and is sensitive. Branches are large, more independent, stronger. It’s kind of like the twig is evolving into a branch, showing how twigpaw grows and gets older. As she’s older, she’s becoming more mature and stronger, able to take on a lot. Twigbranch is just a really awful way of showing how her character is changing and turning into a better cat.
Don’t kill me X”D this is just how I think of her name.
I think the Erin’s should have thought more about it.

The Erin's wanted it to be Twigshade or something like that, I don't remember, but HarperCollings forced it to TwigBranch
I like to think that MouseWing was named mouse as a kite due to her small size, but when she got older got the suffix wing because of her speed and how nimble she was.
And DoeFeather because of her pelt, and feather because it's soft and kind, it makes me think warm and fuzzy, which is nice. You have to think of symbolism with the names.
SnowBush makes me think of a nice snow covered bush in winter, familiar, and pretty. It's also a pretty name to me. Though i do like SnowRush better, the idea of a white car streaking through white snow.
TwigBranch was bad, TwigFall would have been nice, like twigs falling from the tree.
I liked runningnose's name, it made sense, and i believe he was named running for the hope of being fast, but was given the suffix nose to make fun of his inability of curing his own runny nose.
Rogues Knights I completely agree with you here! Doefeather sounds like a beautiful and gentle name (at least it wasn't as plain as Stagleap)...
It's important to also see the symbolism behind the name as well. Mousewing makes me think of a small, yet very quick cat that's able to fly past everyone else while Mousefur just tells me that the cat either has short fur like a mouse or has a pelt color similar to a mouse's.

Gianna Thomas But mousetail and mouseear give off a boring kind of feel, like the leader has literally no creativity, and the only thing important about the warrior is how they look. Warriors usually get their warrior names for doing really well in a battle, or helping. Mousewing makes it sound like she's a small nimble cat, who probably helped out in a battle, or was able to get a lot of food in the winter due to her quick speed. As for mouseheart, in the warrior world that literally means coward, you'd be naming a warrior of your clan, coward

Actually, Tigerheart's name is a memorial to the side of Tigerstar that was a prideful valiant warrior who will fight for his clan
Also, it says in DOTC that Pebble Heart was named after the mark on his chest that looked like a pebble.

The reason the name "Snowbush" exists is because a snowbush is a type of plant, not because Bramblestar wanted vengeance on Firestar (for giving him his evil father's suffix) by giving his kin a stupid suffix.

Ok for FoxHeart she was an awful cat. A real foxheat. She is terrible and deserves that name! Also, a bush is often fluffy looking from its leaf to show snowbush’s fluffy long coat of fur. Could be mistaken for a SNOW covered BUSH!! And mousewing isn’t a physical name. The affix wing is to show accomplishment. From a great hunter to saving the clans. For runningnose he had allergies so he alway has a RUNNY NOSE. So runningnose is a fine name for him and a hint to the fact that he was constantly suffering though his allergies yet he became a medics cat who was able to push through to help his clan. But of course these are just my thoughts on the subject.
Foxheart I think was suppose to be like she has the spirit of a fox, meaning she's quick and cunning, but I started laughing when she was first named because that's the equivalent to asshole or shithead in the warriors universe

Doe feather kinda makes sense. Feather is associated with grace and elegance. Feathertail, Doefeather etc. Crowfeather and Jayfeather don’t count, Crowfeather chose his name to be named after Feathertail, and Jayfeather was named after Crowfeather.
When I hear Doefeather, I think of a light brown feather with a dark brown tip and spots, sort of like the colors associated with doe. So I think it makes sense in that way too

The tigers, leopards, and lions were together once. They have been together once in the Super continents and once merged all together in Europe.
I personally think Sparkfire is great; Not after Firestar, but after strength and any sort of... energy! Sparkpelt isn't as good as a name in my opinion to be honest.
I also Disagree with the name Mousewing; I think it's kind of an angelic name, mixed with their dark coat, it makes some sense to me atleast.
Doefeather could be a symbol in itself, like Doefeather's fur could've been extremely soft or felt almost exactly like a feather. "Nonsensical Mess" I say it describes her in a way, like she may have been fluffy as heck.
Owlnose, is a little ridiculous, but it's not completely stupid either, it could mean he had a nose that was... different. Like a brown or tan nose, that may have looked like an owl's appearance, or maybe he had a sharp nose, as in the tip kind of looking like a beak.
As for Snowbush:
New growth is darker pink on maroon stems, and the color fades to a mottled mix of pastel pink, gray-green and white as the foliage matures. Snowbush is a plant, plus it sounds very majestic.
With Twigbranch:
YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME IF YOU THINK I WOULD DEFEND THIS.

Appledusk sounds a little bit off, but I still think it's remotely okay, Though I do think it should've changed the suffix to be Applewhisker, or maybe something better.

I think Foxheart lives up to her name nicely! She is a complete asshole, and got payback for being such a bitch. And Foxheart is defiantly a fuckbitch. (No offense to anybody who LOVES this character though...)

If there is any underused prefixes that should be used again, I think Swift; Rose; Cinder; And Sorrel should be used more often in this series, but not as much as the heart suffix is used.

the Hunter's have used wayyyyyy too many characters with the suffix 'heart', that don't even make sense! Though Brightheart DOES make sense to have 'heart' at the end because of her bravery with the dogs, there are other names like 'Lillyheart' that literally have no reason or backstory. i personally think that 'heart' should only be for brave or cats who have risked their life. 'Fireheart' is also a good example for the suffix.

Fun fact: Leafpool is named after Leafstar and possibly Spottedleaf as well and her suffix "pool" was made her full medicine cat name because she was the one who discovered the Moonpool.
