Height is not (and never was) a bonus under the new, open-ended scoring system. And off center is only a 0.1 deduction. Neither are good enough to justify Mustafina’s astronomical overscored vaults because she has numerous other errors; it’s just that judges don’t deduct them.

I have nothing but respect for Musty and her lengthy career. Her push thru such injury. so have a seat and STOP MAKING A FOOL OF YOURSELF!!!!!! So weird Mustafina gets a 9.233 for her Yurchenko 2.5 twist but she had bent legs and legs apart. Mckayla Maroney doesn't have bent legs and legs apart when she does that vault but she always gets a execution score around 9.233
When you take into consideration that the judges 3 main areas of concentration here seemed to hitting the gymnasts on 1-distinct body positions (pike/layout), 2-fully completed twisting, and 3-definitely landing upright (chest up), the result makes sense. Personally, I found Hyunjoo to be superior to Jade when I first watched the event( more distance, flare position) but in slo-mo, I can see how Jade is actually the superior vaulter here to both hyunjoo and kaeslin. Kaeslin, like Hyunjo was nearly kissing the floor on her first vault and she was slightly underrotated and very low with the chest on her second...not to mention the hops. I love Ariella, but these results were accurate...well...I believe Hyunjoo was underscored and should be far ahead of Nabs.

Only Musty and Nabs were like this at least this year, by the time London came around Musty's legs were 10x better on her DTY and Vika's and Masha's Amanars looked nothing like this. Masha's Amanar landings on the other hand left a lot to be desired...
I wonder what happend to Mustafinas 2nd vault? She never attended a Vault Final again after her ACL torn in 2011. And I also wonder if she will ever try to perform the Amanar again (I know the form isn´t the best but she improved on her form in the air over the years and I also think her form her was not too bad. Yeah crossed legs and a separation, looks still better than Alys Amanar 2012)

Is it better to do the sport in pain and afterwards have so much pain you cannot move when you are older or stop when it hurts to much but you ave a future ahead? She is the most decorated gymnast from the last Olympics. She has nothing to prove. Multiple world champion and Olympic champion. The only thing left for her are the Team and the Aa Olympic Gold and those are unreachable with Biles and the Americans. This is her decision how far she want to go. I would say health before dreams, but this is not our decision. I am her fan no matter if she will be in the AA or not and if she will go or not go to the Olympics. Sorryfor that long post.

My intention was never to say that she should compete for a vault final. This should have happend years ago or never...just to clear things...Mustys AA is needed but that did not keep her in Worlds 2015...at this time she was training for Worlds unless she stopped after the European Games. So for the record nothing about Musty is clear so far. And Russian Media is not a reliable source for information. And for the Olympics okay the Americans can fail, but do not compare that to Sacramone in 2008 Without Sacramones Falls, China would still have won. Cheng Fei fell too and the gap was big enough for China to win. The Americans at this time where not the Favorites to win with 5 points difference to the 2nd place. So far I hope Musty can perform to her best in Rio and I do not think the Americans would be easy to beat also without Simone and really I never heard that Simone had an injury ever. The decisions who is really making the team in Rio are to far away now. The 2010 Worlds was an oddly sparse competition for coverage in English. In comparison BBC did an even better job doing the Commonwealths two weeks prior. Then they broadcast Louis, Beth, Dan Keatings, and the host lady (forgot her name) talking amongst themselves in the skybox while you could hear the men's vault final happening in the background, before broadcasting an abbreviated "top 3" highlights cut of that final. NBC did what NBC normally does.
Here's my opinion, Nabieva's amanar sucked! She didn't make it all the way around and that shit was tucked! A tucked amanar is counted for a 5.7. So they either should of scored her out of a 5.8 for not making it around, or a 5.7 for having tucked ass legs!!
Barbosa should have been awarded the silver and Kaeslin the bronze. Neither Russian should have been performing Amanars with that atrocious (and dangerous) form.
