Same here. Really love this interview. It’s not only about tennis, but also about a personal journey, about a tough but persistent, resilient path most of us might experience. Her genuine analysis of her metal journey is incredibly inspiring. Love her and absolute happy for her first grand slam!❤
I’ve never been able to bring myself to watch her US Opem SF press conference because she was just devastated. Maybe I’ll watch it now because of your comment and since I know she overcame the situation that left her so dejected.
Truly amazing! I am so impressed by how well she handled everything! I am so so happy for Madison. Madi had the toughest draw of the tournament in beating no.1 and no. 2. She had to beat three top 10 players and top 20 opponents to get through to this incredible achievement. She literally did the impossible. She fought and overcame all the negative mindset of the past. This win is not just about winning a slam but about overcoming her dark side. I love Madi's journey. Such a hard worker. Enjoy this one. It was tough and well earned. Her serving was impressive. Not a single double fault. Forehand was firing. Now rest up because you're going to be doing a lot of winning this year. I wish you good health. If Madison is healthy, she will win Wimbledon. No one will be able to touch her phenomenal serve or forehand on that surface. Keep on shining queen!
I agree. Being a longtime follower of the sport, its just amazing to follow someone through their whole career, in this case over 20 years. Ups and downs, challenges, injuries, form, consistancy, mental health. Its like life playing out in front of you, through tennis.
This is one of the best successes in achieving a Grand Slam title, especially for someone like Keys-genuine, humble, and resilient through all her ups and downs. Hearing her speech feels like therapy, reminding us of the power of perseverance and grace. Such a sweet and well-deserved victory!
If Maddie ever reads this This post-match press was such valuable food for thought for me. As one of your many many news fans, thank you for sharing your story and journey regarding therapy. You are correct. She is so authentic, humble, and thankful. People remember these moments more for the manner in which they win and the character they display. That sticks with me much longer than any legacy statistics. In contrast we saw a competitor who is desperately chasing a legacy rather than letting her legacy follow her. Humility, sportsmanship, and character is what we ideally desire in a consummate champion. that is why Ashleigh Barty was so warmly admired and embraced. Rafael Nadal never abused his racket in his entire career. He never lost and threw a temper tantrum. I remember that more than any of his statistics and I've watched him his entire career. So I admire that you see this as a teachable moment. You have the correct optics towards sports and character complete champions.
Congratulations Maddison from a 75 year old granny !!!❤️ Ever since I saw you in Eastbourne UK in 2014 winning your first career title I have been a huge fan of yours . No other lady strikes the ball as hard as you and you make no horrible , loud noises like your opponent today !! I used to refer to Maddie as an eagle with a broken wing. Broken no more. Eagle flies high. Eagle flies free. Congrats! Super happy for you, Maddie. This one is LONG time coming. And what a path to the title. Collins, Rybakina, Svitolina, and then the icing on the cake, Iga and Aryna. This is beyond deserved. Big hugs!
Madison’s authenticity in this moment was what made this the most inspiring post win interview I have ever watched. It really should be shown in schools ….I know I will be sharing it with my children. Congratulations Madison, so very well done ❤❤🎉

As a big Sabalenka fan - Madi is the only other winner that I could feel this level of happiness for. Truly historic run through this tournament and one of the most deserving champs of all time. So glad everything clicked in her amazing game

Don't think so lots of woman tennis players come and have a great tournament and then dissappear or they don't win any major tournaments with the exception if Iga and Sabalenka right now. Congrats to Keys but she is 29 I see her win as a one off but time will tell if I'm right or wrong

amazing interview. I was supporting Sabalenka because I like her, but this is 100% deserved and Madison plays unbelievable well. Congrats and thanks for such sincere and good interview.
Wow this was the best press conference I’ve ever watched. So many players have been in her position of being good enough to win a GS but falling just short and sadly they so often can’t overcome that hurdle. Hearing her talk about her focus on her mental health and how that has allowed her to finally achieve this is so inspiring
But with Madison she’s well liked (though people I know that work at the USTA Center and loosely know her have said she’s kinda mean), where Zverev is an abuser. Some people can look past that, but it makes his struggles feel much less significant to people
@@rosevillewoman2055 I don't think the pressure on him would be quite as much as hers. Keys has such powerful attacking groundshots and serve. It was very weird that she couldn't put it all together and win years ago, so i can totally understand the public pressure. Zverev doesn;t quite have that dominant game.
Best sport interview ever! The wisdom that Maddie is applying to her tennis and her personal development can apply to most anyone in life at some point or another . She has explained it so well here! Bravo, and congratulations on this achievement.
I am so happy you won the GS Madison, it’s funny how you’ve united all the fans of different players in praising you and your performance. It was such an inspiring run, witnessing your emotional journey to win the tough matches along the way and boy you had the toughest draw! I’m happy that such a kind, humble and hard working woman won a GS! Enjoy the celebrations today and much success in the rest of your season ♥️
I'm so happy for her. She was living with the pressure of having to be the "next big thing" while riddled with injuries. Now, she's mentally and emotionally ready to play her game. She's a confident woman, and it shows. Well earned and deserved. Many congrats to you, Madison.🎉🎉😊
Every young athlete should hear this interview. I think Maddie explained it best what goes through your mind in big important moments not only in your career but in your life as well. And to be able to deal with all sorts of emotions in your head in that particular moment will determine the outcome. Well done Maddie!
I've been waiting for and routing for Madison for a long time. She has all the tools to be at the top of women's tennis. That smile says everything. Congratulations, Madison!!!!!!!!
My husband and I stayed up all night watching this. When Maddie won, we both screamed. Then I got worried, hoping none of our neighbors would think something was wrong. This was my first time watching from start to finish, and I'm so glad I did. Madison seems like such a genuine, down-to-earth person. Good for her being so open about the benefit of therapy. I'm so there with her on that.
I love her bringing up therapy. I have just done for one year literally life changing. And kudos to the journalists asking good questions tonight! I didn’t watch tennis until 2023 and became her fan after us open her vs sabalenka. You’re so inspiring Madi we are proud of you❤
It was all in a change of mindset. In all of Keys losses in SF of GS, and in her 1 final 8 years ago, you can see that she did not believe, that she was scared in the important moments. She would literally choke. Anyway, she was courageous in asking for help, and this is tge reason why she is now a GS Champion. Promise finally fulfilled. She is now a contender for Wimbledon title.
I am a massive Aryna fan but major grats to Madison Keys she damn well earned this win, beat a lot of top top players including the world #1 and #2 on the way!
I thought Aryna was a very poor loser tonight. Certainly not a graceful one that’s for sure. And her disrespect to her team was obvious, after all, she was the one with a racquet on her hand! Poor form imo.
She made it look so simple....no big grunts...no aggressive body language....no serious staring at the opponents. Thank her for teaching a lesson or two to those over pampered media hyped players.
Wow, what a great message for us. She's been the proverbial bridesmaid for years and it seemed like just the way her career would be, from the outside. She obviously saw it differently, stuck with her process and kept working and kept reaching for the top. She may not have needed it, but she sure deserved it. Congrats to her.
This is truly remarkable. She and Osaka seem to be the only players that readily admit there is a tremendous mental strain on players. Keys has ALWAYS had the ability and talent. It’s really impressive for her to speak about her own self doubt.
What a run Holy shit (10) Collins in the 3rd round (6) Rybakina in the 4th round (28) Svitolina in the Quarterfinals (2) Swiatek in the Semifinals (1) Sabalenka, reigning 2x AO Queen, in the Finals 😍
I remember watching Madison steamroll through the US Open and thinking she was a lock against Stephens. But then she seem to mentally buckle in the moment. She was incredibly mentally resilient in this run to this AO Grand Slam title. So HAPPY for her!
Reaching the point where you are proud of yourself, with or without a Grand Slam title, and overcoming all the expectations-both internal and external-is undoubtedly far more important than winning a Grand Slam itself. I know this may sound ridiculous to some, but in the end, tennis is just one part of life, even for a tennis player. Achieving such remarkable mental resilience has an impact that goes far beyond the sport. Huge congratulations on your journey, Champ!
I was at the US Open final when she lost in about 53 minutes and felt so bad for her. That is why I think this is special because she waited for so long for another chance and made the most of it. Congratulations to her!!
That loss at the US open affected me the most. I did not read about that news or try not to watch anything. I beamed so much when she won Adelaide. Then beating Rybakina, gave me more confidence.
Sabalenka's behaviour after the match concluded was uncontrolled anger at a legacy loss. Maddie isn't a shallow, narc legacy chaser, she's genuine and inspiring.
Maddie, as someone has been rooting for you for years. it was so special to see you win this tournament - and yes, you went out and WON it against the best players in the game. This press conference that you gave was also just as amazing - thanks for sharing about your journey, your process to find your best version of you through therapy, and showing that self-acceptance will bring great things. These words will be an inspiration to many just as much as you holding that trophy.
Very special interview. She was absolutely transparent! Congratulations Madison! I knew you would win after you beat Iga. More to come for you. Stay rooted in truth!🍾🦾🫶🏽🎉😊
I am beyond thrilled for Maddie! She is so deserving and has worked so hard for so long . I love that she is a WTA tour favorite in the locker room. For those who don’t know, she has a non profit foundation promoting kindness (“Kindness Wins”)… something we can all use more of! Enjoy the Daphne Trophy, Madison!! 😍🎾🥰🇺🇸😎🏆😊🇦🇺

What an amazing, down to earth, resilient champion! So happy Madison Keys, you deserve it ❤🎉
This is truly remarkable. She and Osaka seem to be the only players that readily admit there is a tremendous mental strain on players.
Keys has ALWAYS had the ability and talent.
It’s really impressive for her to speak about her own self doubt.
She’s almost 30 and at the pinnacle of her long career. Love it.😊
First response was so heartfelt and liberating to her as a person and player. Well done, Maddy!
I always liked Keys. A real classy lady. Glad she won. Hope this win boosts her confidence and leads to another Major.
Keys you are a star!
Congrats Madison!!!!
You are and have been an inspiration for many kids in your childhood club where it all started. Thank you!!!❤❤❤
What a run Holy shit
(10) Collins in the 3rd round
(6) Rybakina in the 4th round
(28) Svitolina in the Quarterfinals
(2) Swiatek in the Semifinals
(1) Sabalenka, reigning 2x AO Queen, in the Finals
😍
Sangat keren 🎉❤
At this moment in time she's the best player on the planet.
And Madison saved a match point against Iga Swiatek in the semifinals 🎉
Let's not forget the Ruse match that years ago she would have lost but that day she digged through the dirt to win it
FIVE 3-SET MATCHES IN A ROW!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
That's right, she's no Serena Williams.
To me it's who she took out that just makes this that much sweeter. Took out Swiatek, Sabalenka and Rybakina. Congrats champ!!
I literally was crying and jumping up and down in my room no sleep😂😂😂❤❤❤
An amazing run, Maddie! WELL DONE! 💪🔥🏆💐
Congratulations Madison 😊
Great interview ! Well done
I remember watching Madison steamroll through the US Open and thinking she was a lock against Stephens. But then she seem to mentally buckle in the moment. She was incredibly mentally resilient in this run to this AO Grand Slam title. So HAPPY for her!
So great to see her win a major! Class act!
I've always been a Keys fan and I am so, so proud of her. She held it together and had amazing moments on the court. She's great!
wow incredible.. i always love her game.. congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Was rooting for Aryna all the way, but can’t be mad at Maddie for such an inspiration! Well deserved
Sabalenka's behaviour after the match concluded was uncontrolled anger at a legacy loss. Maddie isn't a shallow, narc legacy chaser, she's genuine and inspiring.
The route to the title was awesome, deafeating some of the best players and former runner-ups.
> Collins, Rybakina, Swiatek, Sabalenka. ✅️✅️✅️✅️
Key moment for the Keys. Well done.
First Rybakina, then Iga and finally Sabalenka … What a mind-blowing effort 😱. Huge Congratulations 🏆👏🏻🙌🏻. Truly Champion …
We love you Madison ! ! ! You're poise and patience in this interview is professional at a high level.
I was fortunate to go to grade school with Madison’s dad. To see her hoist that trophy was such a profound moment. Well deserved!!
Oh wow that’s awesome!
Well done Madison. What a game. Super deserved!!!
Well deserved Madi!!! 🏆👏❤
Such a good interview! Something for all of us in there. Well done Madi!
So much beauty packed into these interviews, thanks for sharing Madison and congratulations!!
We love to see a person healed and at their best. Congratulations Madison 🎉🎉🎉
Thank goodness, a fresh face & a great outcome for the sport
Thank goodness screaming queen gone.
The sweetest champion congratulations Maddy🥳😘🥹🩵
Congratulations Madison on your Australian Open Grand Slam Championship!!🏆
I'm Iga fan, but I kept fingers crossed for Maddy in he finał.. She deserve it. Great Player and Great Person.
Two grand slam runs personally I will never forget this year with Madison and Roddick 2006 US Open run
He lost in 2006. You did forget. That's your memorable run? 2006?
Congratulations, Maddy! Well done; well deserved,🍾🎊🎉🎈👍🏽👍🏽

Very special interview. She was absolutely transparent! Congratulations Madison! I knew you would win after you beat Iga. More to come for you. Stay rooted in truth!🍾🦾🫶🏽🎉😊
Congratulations Queen, Madison~🙏🏽✊🏾🙏🏽
I am beyond thrilled for Maddie! She is so deserving and has worked so hard for so long . I love that she is a WTA tour favorite in the locker room. For those who don’t know, she has a non profit foundation promoting kindness (“Kindness Wins”)… something we can all use more of! Enjoy the Daphne Trophy, Madison!! 😍🎾🥰🇺🇸😎🏆😊🇦🇺
Congratulations Madison. So happy for her 🎉🎾🎖️
Maddie you have the best skillset: power and consistency. Your serve is stunning add to that your mental toughness and surely you will be winning more grand slams in the future.
