love seeing old photos of places i live in and know well.
Glad you enjoyed
Amazing history
So many memories of the area in the fifties. Just thought all old properties and shops were normal then. Remember the war time beach debris that was from Poole to Southampton Water. Oftentimes going to the Arne peninsula and Shell bay area was tricky as so many explosives remained. Many footpaths to the beach and dunes were strictly fenced to prevent us kids straying. Lovely pictures and thanks for posting.
Your welcome hope you enjoyed. If you could, would you like 👍 the video to help others to find it

To the man who introduced the goose. Thanks for that 👍
No problem 👍
Very nice video. Cranbrook Road has certainly changed!
Couple of errors - 14:45 ... Lagland Street (not Langland). 21:52 ... Kingland Road (not Kingsland).
Thanks for the info!
Just to say that can't be goathorn at 10:17 but could be Ridge wharf
Nice video! Out of curiosity, where would you find the archives you have used? I am hoping to create a documentary on the history of Poole for a university final major and would love to do some research into this!
There's a lot of older books showing images or a local library may have what you need also you could contact the local historical society
