I have lived in Montana all my life which is 62 years so far!! I love my state and it is beautiful as you can see. You must visit us here in Big Sky Country!! And you are right it does get cold 🥶 in the winter! But so worth it!! Love your vlogs and a very beautiful family! ❤🇺🇸
Without yet hearing the price , Laya's guess is by far the closest . This place makes my house , which is worth about ! million , look like a shack in Appalachia . My grandpa's place in Alabama was about 7,000 acres with 40-50 families of share croppers living on it and farming parts of it . The house was a pre-civil war plantation house of 20 something rooms which sat at the end of a driveway about a 1/4 mile long , lined with 100 plus year old live oaks .Grandpa drove around in a 30 year old pickup truck with the bumper held on by bailing wire, with dents and dings everywhere and wore old overalls with patches on the knees and ass . He had put as much of it as he was allowed into the Soil Bank , which is a government project which paid farmers money NOT to grow certain crops in order to maintain the price of those crops at a level where farmers could make a living . He used to joke that he made more money by NOT growing cotton and NOT growing corn than he made on any other crops LOL .
You guys could get 5 acres of land in rural Georgia for around 150,000 with a pond. You could then build a very nice custom built home for somewhere around 250,000.
Sure hope your family like snow. In fact a lot seem to pass over Montana & dump on Wyoming & the Dakotas. But they do get a lot of snow there some years. Where you have to get out of the house through the second story deep. It doesn't just get cold, it can be brutally cold.
I read on another reaction, that this property is listed at $30 million. Quite expensive, but you get the extra plus of lots of snow in the winter for skiing and sledding. ❤
Keep in mind. They have very cold winters there with lots of snow. Lots of snow. Also, I'm sure an operation of that size requires several staff to keep it running. 13,000 sq. ft. house. You may need a housekeeper. Good luck in your search. Check out some of the ranches for sale in Texas.
The Waggoner Ranch is 510;000 acres, 800 square miles. Was sold for $725 million. The ranch has 30,000 acres of farmland in cultivation, 1,200 oil wells, 500 horses, 6,500 cattle, and more than 22,000 acres of surface lakes.
Great video. That place is amazing. Montana is a beautiful place. I loved visiting it, but I have never been to that Ranch, Sitka. It just blows me away.
When they mentioned the property has a "shop" that's a term used in America to describe a facility where you can store, repair, maintain, diagnose, and maybe even build (depending on the size of the "shop") equipment necessary to run the ranch (or farm) / property.
I live about 325 miles northwest of Paradise Valley near Columbia Falls, Montana. I have visited that area many times and can attest to how beautiful it is. I live about 25 miles west of the west entrance to Glacier National Park, so this area of Montana is also very beautiful.
You can find large ranches like this all over central America and some are cheaper than others, all depends on assets on the property, location of the property, and typically things like ponds and such.
This ranch is close to 10 square kilometer. In the winter, you could have up to 2 or 3 meters of snow on the ground. This ranch is one fifth the size of the city of Bozeman, Montana.
"You'll never see me". Yep, because you WILL be working literally from before sunrise until after sunset, nearly EVERY day. Working ranches are no joke, even with hands.
OB Daz reacted to a place in North Carolina ( last week I think) I’ll get the link and email you. It’s out of your price range, but shows how amazing a property can be at a 1/4 of the price. The big thing to consider when buying property is taxes per year. The amount varies so much by state, and even city or county. I really hope your family can find the perfect spot, and get everything everything you dream of
I live in Bozeman and Paradise Valley is lovely. Winter is from October to April or even May. And it's COLD!! That price is actually a bargain price. What they're offering in acres and animals, etc. it's definitely a bargain.
That food that you guys mentioned in the beginning kind of reminds me of a food that we have here in the US called Navajo Fry Bread, made by Native Americans. It’s delicious 😋
If I could do my life over again (and do it with an insane amount of money), I would have a house in Montana - but closer to Glacier National Park. I come from Scandanavian stock...I'm wired for the cold (hahaha).
Not 7 bathrooms but 9, two of them don't have shower so it's only called 1/2 bathroom. This house is stunning, but I would agree with jono I can't deal with the cold winters. 😊
I can’t type out whatever was said at 0:16 lol but it looks like this thing called “Fry bread” i had in Arizona, an Indigenous American food with similar toppings, ours had olives and jalapeños on top as well as some beef
21 - 23 million $. You guys will have some shocks looking at properties like these. The good news is you have some pleasant surprises looking for a 3/2 on three acres with a pond.
i worked for a telephone company in montana for years. i spent about 15 years in montana. i can't count the number of times i blew through that area, through yellowstone, or any of the other places they mentioned.
Also been to and around those areas, I live in southern Idaho no. And yeah that is a beautiful and super cool area. So is yellow stone, we got west Yellowstone, here in Idaho. Yellow stone and Montana, Wyoming and Idaho should be on the list of places to go and see, if you are in our part of the world. You want cowboys and rodeos, we got them, you want the occasional big city experience we each got one apiece, haha, want some of the best national and state parks, we all got at least one of the top ten, in my opinion. Want country living/farming, friendly neighbors, we got that too. Want a decent job that provides a good living, depending on what you do/want to do. We got that too. This region is definitely not one to over look when visiting. And the high desert when spring hits and all the desert/mountain flowers bloom. A sight to see, also have huge regional humming birds and all the hiking/camping and out doors stuff you could ever want, the land to match.
Please try to remember that this is a active working for a profit ranch. It's not just a house and barn without animals in it. This is definitely a complete working ranch. It's absolutely beautiful but unless you're going to be able to raise cattle and horses etc. It's absolutely beautiful. I'd love to have a working ranch with such a wonderful wilderness around. 😊
I think you might enjoy Life on an AIR CRAFT CARRIER. PBS series CARRIER. There's also a documentary. I don't know about copyright issues watching and reacting to other channels.
Wow! I love everything about this property. I could see myself living there. There is only one thing that I don't like about. Which ruins everything...the price😱😭😁
A shop means a maintenance shop for maintaining the equipment's/ranch vehicles and gear, etc. Your desire for 5 acres with pond and a decent sized home for less than $500K means pretty rural or less expensive states - think the SE, Deep South, midwest rural. In my state of Washington, even in the cheaper Eastern part, you'd struggle to find something like that at your price point.
Look for something in West Virginia, I got something similar to your request except with 60 acres, however the house is not as large as you asked for but I don't need more than 2 bedrooms.
And well, those parameters. Thats a done a dozen here in southern, country Idaho. My search for a home is filled with stuff like that. At 300-500k or more, a bit out of my range. And mostly what they actually worth.
Keep in mind the purchase price is one thing, but then you still need to pay all the people who work on that ranch. It will be self-sustaining and even profitable after a time, but it's not like buying a suburban home. That's gorgeous, though - I'd love to be able to live on a place like that. Holy smokes!
Jono and Kat. 10 years ago I was in Bozeman Montana and there was a real estate company that sold 1,000 acres of land for $25,000. If you're really interested you can buy the land and build your own house
I'm sure that land is a lot more expensive now. Everything has gone up in price dramatically in the us. Still, I'm sure the land in MT would be less than other states.
I drove a Semi Truck through Montana in October and had to deal with a blizard that droppe 18 inches of snow last fall while the temperature dropped to 2f. If you don't like the cold believe me you do not want to live in Montana.
The reason this video is out there on social networks is because it’s free advertising for the rich there is plenty of good deals out there that is more affordable.
The thing Kate and Garren had at the local fair sounds a lot like an Indian taco maybe something you can look for when you make it to America for a visit it's mainly something you'd find in the Midwest anywhere you find a native American community
This area is popular for skiers/snowboarders because there are a number of ski resorts nearby. It's a popular area for celebrities to own a home in this region as well as the nearby Yellowstone Club. Yellowstone Club is a luxury private community with the world's only private ski resort. In other words unless you own property and pay the membership fee you aren't getting him. If you live in this region of Montana then you can call people like Michael Keaton, Ben Affleck, Justin Timberlake, Tom Brady, Bill Gates and more as neighbors.
Nah you don't cut the grass on this property that's what you would have livestock for. You would mow certain areas like around the houses and around the ponds if you want to go fishing, etc.
28 million this is a working ranch an hunting an fisherman paradise the tags alone for big game is not surpassed by any other place in north America. I am from Montana and I have to say it is one of the most beautiful places on Earth
Congrats on buying the Sitka ranch!
If you don't like the cold, then Montana is not for you to live, however, I highly recommend visiting. It's stunning here.
Cold as Ice for 8 months of the year. GOOD LUCK !
Yes, very cold. I think that is where the phrase "You'll freeze your balls off." Came from.

26 million dollars is a very good price for that land and the buildings. Definitely a property for a young family with ambition.
That's where my tribe is from (a part of where my tribe is from). Sitka sounds a lot like my tribes name in the Blackfoot language which is Siksika.
The air in Paradise Valley is the most pure and highly concentrated oxygenized air I have ever breathed. You will not want to leave.
I live about an hour and a half for that ranch and it is absolutely massive huge

I thought on the video watched by Office Blokes Daz, it said it sold for 25.5 million.
@@scrambler69-xk3kv Your probably correct. Most people offer a lower bid than the listed price, and then the owners accepts it.
