If you come to Boise in the summer, make sure you come in May/June. Because after the 4th of July temperatures rise like crazy, the foothills and mountains turn brown/yellow from lack of rain, and forest fires fill the valley with smoke… so, mid-late summer can get ugly. BUT, early-mid summer is great.
Lived in Boise for 4 years. 35-40 F avg temp in the winter. Really no snow except on the mountains right outside of Boise. Sawtooth Mountains with great sking ! They do Spring sking in March..ski in shorts.
*Daz Gaynor Aiden* (NORMALLY) I never promote where I live, which is Boise as I don't want to encourage even more to move here, lol..... We've experienced *ALOT* of growth the past 5 years in particular so the locals like to keep how special this place is on the DL...:) But, I like you guys, my kind of people and I promise you, this place is amazing.... First, if your in The Treasure Valley which is Boise, Meridian, Eagle, etc. Your winters will NOT be that cold or brutal.! You'll get 1, maybe 2 snowfalls (that stick) per winter. Usually 2-4 inches. So worry not, this isn't Minnesota or Buffalo, NY. About every 20 years you might get a big storm. You get 4 distinct seasons, it's clean, people are super friendly and it's 99% SAFE here.! FYI more retired law enforcement people live here than any other place in the United States.! That's fact.! Every variety of cuisine, Microbrews, I could take an hour just to give you the broad brushstrokes but this is a VERY special place..... We just wish the moving here pace slowed down a bit. Anyway, I think highly of you guys so I wanted to give you a sense of the place even before I watched the video.... *Cheers* David.....
I've heard it's nice but maybe not the most racially friendly. My Asian friend was passing through town and she said she got a looot of stares that made her uncomfortable. If you're white this is probably a fantastic place.
@@Vendrix86 No Bro, that is a RARE case.! 30 years ago maybe that case could be made but not anymore..... prolly just ran into an idiot..... it happens, everywhere....

If your in Idaho. the weather depends on which side of the mountains you are on, The west will get some snow and cold. The East is a bit more climate. Also, if you like potatoes Idaho is your place. If you own a ranch, you could always lease out the farming and ranching areas, along with hunting and fishing and earn income.
I hear "premier equestrian operation" and dollar signs start ringing in my head. Horse racing in the US is among the most lucrative sports in terms of ownership. A good horse farm can bring in tens of millions per year. My uncle built a horse race training ground and stables on his propertt in southern Kentucky and brings in more money than the rest of his town combined.

I'm getting close to retirement and I won't consider any place that has more cold months than warm months. Never been to Idaho and really can't see why I would ever go to Idaho
Boise is a pretty cool small/medium size city but outside of the college not enough sports in my personal opinion. Please nobody attack me I said my personal opinion
Idaho is a very republican and conservative state, with a very racist past. Its not very diverse and the people there generally hate outsiders. Boise (the capital) is the only city in Idaho that is more tolerable but its the housing is very expensive now
The actual reason people dislike all the newcomers is because its made the cost of living absolutely unaffordable, has nothing to do with being closed minded. California gets the brunt of the hate because you can sell a falling apart dump of a house for a million or so there, and come to Idaho and buy a mini mansion, as well the simple fact that a huge chunk of said newcomers are indeed from California. Why this surprises anybody is beyond me, its pretty simple... of course people are gonna direct the brunt of their anger at the most common group of people causing the perceived problem, "Californians". If I'm not mistaken, most of the people moving to the State are Republicans (or at least a good chunk of them are). Nobody is mad about some imagined "invasion of the liberals." They're mad because their once affordable place to live has doubled, or more, in price. I've lived in multiple States and was actually born/raised outside the US for a good portion of my life, I regularly tell people this in conversation. Have never once encountered a life-long Idaho resident that had a problem with that, usually people are curious actually. Not sure where you get your opinion of an entire State from, but what you've said is about as ridiculous as me hating on anyone from California simply because San Francisco exists. Its almost as if morons exist everywhere... who would've thought.

Loved it there !!
Idaho does get very cold during the winter, but during the summer can reach a 100 degrees.
Last winter it hit in the negatives, this summer it's been hitting 103-106 consistently
It’s been 110 several days this summer so far. (I live in Boise)

The largest ranch in the world is in Australia and is more than six times larger than the King Ranch in Texas at more than 6 million acres.

What a gorgeous property. Daz, c'mon buy it 😅
Check out the Wagoner Ranch in North Texas.535000 acres and worth $725 million dollars.
This seems like a generational ranch. Then the lazy son inherited it and immediately put it on the market so he can get a mansion in South Beach.
It’s listed for 22,500,00
22.5 million

Never say why being so,d. Such a big complex one has to wonder why. Is it age with no descendants or too expensive to run.
I grew up in Idaho. You will love it.
Till they get bored one week later lol.
Daz you and Gaynor would fit right in to Boise. Just lose the accent. Lol
