No, I wouldn't say so, but a month ago I met a pilgrim from Arizona and I learnt that the perception of distances vary from the place where one lives: When I said that I had pilgrim friends from the Netherlands and Italy, she said that would be very close, her pilgrims friends live in Australia or Europe, and that would be VERY far from the U.S. :-) Entroncamento is about one hour by train from Lisbon, and Lisbon is about three hours by plane from the closest airport, but by car I would need to drive more than two days to get there and cross five different countries... (okay, I wouldn't have to cross Germany because the place where I live is already quite close to the border.) :-D
