That Frydek and Aurea Gageana 😍 They are gorgeous!! My experience with both has been great! Very resilient. My Frydek absolutely loves pon and I have another that loves soil. They both are doing great 🎉
OMG the SEA OF ALOCASIA FRYDEK 😭😭😭😭😍 I audibly gasped! Right now my alocasia frydek is one of my top fav plants. The variegation is unmatched. Just such a stunning specimen and I understand the hype lmao 😅

Great tour! Really an awesome opportunity to get a deeper look at the production side of the industry. You were absolutely right to haul, because it is such a rare lucky chance to be able to pick from so many healthy specimens, getting the very best of genetics that appeals to you. And at a discount, Yes Please. It's great when nice things happen for nice people. Been growing Stapelia grandiflora for years. Once I cut off some pieces and just left them sitting on a counter for months and just replanted. As long as you don't overwater to rot them, they won't die. I just gave away 2/3s of my large plant at a Halloween party. Some people bring a bowl of candy, I brought 2 platters full of a variety of planted propagations. Downsizing through gifting. Beautiful selection, I thought the camouflage was special too.
Giving away plants at a party is such a fun idea. What did people say about it?
@@Darenim A total hit. They asked if they could take more than one, so it was a success. I was also able to present some in cache pots that didn't match the aesthetic of my collection but had come with the purchase of a plant. Cleared a little shelf space too, bonus.

the variegated frydek is actually one of the easiest alocaias I've ever grown! don't be intimidated by it. just give it bright light and don't let it dry out :) i don't give it extra humidity or anything and its super happy.

Awesome video! I’ve grown my Alocasia micholitziana in self watering for a few months now. Since then it’s been living it’s best life! Growing the biggest leaves. I have it probably 3 ft under a Sansi grow light (from Amazon) and in a very chunky potting mix. If I get a Alocasia Frydek (hopefully soon🤞🏼), I will put it in a self watering pot and a chunky mix too! Due to my non variegated one doing so well!
I also saw a Stapelia grandiflora for the 1st time a week ago and had the same reaction. I was shocked by how much I liked it or should I say liked touching it😂
