I went plant shopping at Horrocks Nursery and found myself completely surrounded by beautiful plants. Even though I wasn't planning on it, I ended up having a great plant haul! If I understand it the chocolate empress is a Pluto, which I believe is the unvariegated Carmel marble. I could be wrong but that’s the way I understand it. It’s beautiful regardless.

I love plant shopping with you. You have so much knowledge about the plants and we like the same things. I keep saying I’m not going to buy more plants because I’m at 200 but I keep seeing once I don’t have and I have a plant room that is 10’ x 6’ so you know how that goes.
Shortly after your last video at Horrocks, my sister and I paid a visit to this fun amazing place. I was surprised to see one remaining Thai Constellation so I immediately popped it into my cart. Sister was shocked I would pay so much for a single houseplant but I reassured her I wasn't bewildered. It was a rare plant at an excellent price and it was famous. it was the first time I carried a plant on board and totally worth finding space in my carry on luggage.

I live right by this horrocks and all the plants you pointed out…I also bought…it was also a…over budget but worth it trip for me :) 😂 I couldn’t say no. I also go the queen anthurium and the large birds nest anthurium. LOVE THEM ALL!! I must have gone just before you recorded this video! Glad you found some good finds!!!

So many good ones! I LOVE my Glorious! It was small when I got it and once I got it on a pole it grew fast and sized up quickly! Super easy care. Definitely takes after it’s Gloriosum parentage!

What a fantastic haul!! I am so sad that Horrocks is so far away from me :( By the way, if you can ever get your hands on one of those Begonia Bipinnatifida 22:58 when you can transport it gently (it's fairly fragile) then I HIGHLY recommend it! They are so gorgeous and FAST growers. Mine grew from about 2" tall to 10" tall in about 3 months. They are super thirsty, such a drama queen when they wilt down but they pop right back up with water. But they are so unusual and beautiful and you would never regret getting one. You made me wanna get a glass for myself....and in was only middle of the day!! You're fortunate to be able to just take plants on the plane with you. Sydney has VErY STRICT QUARANTINE rule even within Australia. Will double check though cos rules are sometimes changed right?! Anyway, GREAT haul and obviously we're gonna need an update video in a few months to see how they're getting on. Enjoy! I’m so glad you got the pastazanum because I found one at my nursery for $13 and I thought it was mislabeled, cause it was so cheap. I thought maybe it was a mameii or something because of the ruffle stem but it totally looks like this!!! Just got a good deal!

I do think the one in the video is a plowmanii not a pasta silver, those have round stems.

Chocolate empress philodendron also known as philodendron pluto. For the philodendron silver pastaznum look more like plowmanii to me

I would have picked up the variegated Optunia. The Haworthia maughanii truncata succulent. Also the large cacti looks amazing too. As always love seeing Claire in the videos she is adorable 🥰. Have such a cute curiosity worried face.

Okay, Ashley......you made me drool when I saw the ficus shiveana plants. Do you remember how tall they were and how much? I'm 4 1/2 hours away in Ohio and would love to make the trip tomorrow there. I wish they shipped plants! Beautiful finds and nice prices as well!

i got one of those chocolate philodendron at my home depot... paid 30, it was huge, but i lost the tag... i remember reading on reddit that it is a caramel marble that lost it's variegation... and it makes sense... mine has huge leaves and they are the same exact shape as my caramel marble...

Ashley I love watching all your videos, been a follower for 3 yrs. I don't recall you making a video about how you care for succulents and cacti when you bring them home. I've had mealybugs outbreak on one of my cacti a week after I brought it home. Luckily, it was already in isolation being a new plant so no outbreak. What's your pest prevention for succulents and cacti when you bring home? Thank you! ❤️
I’ve been using insecticidal soap on mine and it really helps. So sorry you are going through that!
