The inline six cylinder was near indestructible. Add the manual transmission and you had a car that ran decades. I had one for nine years. I regret getting rid of it.
This was a really good and memorable campaign. Ad agencies are worthless today, wishy washy milque toast mumbo jumbo or offensive crude in your face carp nothing of quality.
Nissan's piss poor attempt at making a honda civic, should have just kept making 510s ,it so frustrating whenever a manufacturer comes up with a winner they almost immediately discontinue it, kinda like when you find a great pair of shoes and try to find them a second time
280Z always looking great!

Had one. Great car. No problems in 100,000 miles. Do you understand no problems, no $$$ wasted. The car ran and ran and ran ........ Loved it.
I love these so much.
Back in the day when companies made claims like this, they damn well meant it.....well at least the Japanese companies did.
The claims in the commercials were all true.

This has the feel of an official campaign. Not like the garbage pushed on the masses today
Datsun indeed ruled the 70s

Haaaang tough, Datsun!
US Datsun names confuse me. 210, 310? In 1979, in Australia we had the Sunny, Stanza, Skyline, etc.
Datsun is a Japanese Mercedes Benz.🍀
