🎉 Jesus, thank you Greg for putting your body on the line just to give us an action intro. I saw exactly when you hit your head and I cringed. But then you had to expertly manage to spray yourself in the eyes with Biofreeze. But you went through it anyway. Seriously, Greg please be careful next time. Love you man and thank you again for putting your body on the line.❤❤
😊 I’m not sure if this is gonna come off right but anyway it’s always a positive. This feels like a Ryan Gosling movie. It’s very much like how I felt with the good guys. It’s Ryan at his quirky best😊
1:15:57 sorry Greg one more thing😂. The actual plot of the movie is pretty simplistic, but then again when you look at the bad guys and everything that led up to them hiring cult back to cover their asses, they are essentially stupid. They are not brainiacs. They’re just trying to cover their asses and they did it in a very bad way. So obviously everything is going to break down super fast for them and for me that was OK cause it was really more about Ryan and Emily.
Hey Greg, I’ve been noticing. Am I wrong or on the movie reviews you’re not doing a Patreon shout out I’ve noticed like two videos there’s no shout outs at the end. I seen it in other videos but lately not in the genre movies that were doing every week.
The person that doubled for Ryan Gosling as he jumps off the helicopter his father is a veteran stunt man who came to the set of the film to witness his son perform the high fall stunt off the helicopter as a tribute to his father, bringing it full circle.
I love how they showed so much love for the stunt team in the credits, and especially showing the 8 and a half cannon roll and showing that the stuntman legitimately set a world record doing that stunt. Thoroughly enjoyed this film what an absolute love letter to stuntmen and stunt teams.
😊 here we go. Fun fact, the whole sand scene is actually true. Stutman do check to see density and dryness of the sand because that will cause resistance when you’re driving. Plus, Ryan’s character is nervous.😅😅
I wasn't even aware it was in theaters. There wasn't any advertisement for it. Definitely fire whoever was in charge of marketing, cause they dropped the ball.
Extremely disappointed that this film did poorly at the box office. I hope the studio recognizes it had nothing to do with the quality of the movie because this deserved to be a monster hit.
Tara - seriously I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU!!! I saw this movie 3 times in the theater!!! I cannot believe how much I love this film. EVERYTHING worked for me. Perfection.
The cameos with Lee Majors and his costar Heather Thomas in the end is awesome. This movie seriously honors the stunt community so well mixed with great meta commentary showing all the behind the scenes shenanigans' when it comes to making a movie.
YES!!!!! OMG 😳😳😳 I loved that TV show growing up!!!!!! Seeing them show up at the end of the movie I was just....WHAT!?!?!? 😮😮😮😮😮😮 OMG!!!!! Lee F'n Majors! and Heather Thomas!!!!!😮😮😮😮😮 From the Fall Guy T.V. series!!!!!😮😮😮😮😮😮
The film itself is meta. We see behind the scenes and are drawn into the characters and we learn about the energy it takes to make a movie while making a movie. Compliments to the chef!
My favorite gag of the movie is Hannah Waddingham’s ever increasing Diet Coke containers. From can to 20 ounce to giant big gulp and she even drinks them more and more manically
😢 this movie deserves so much more in the theater. This was more of a bunch of friends going to see a movie experience, rather than two people or one person going to go see it.
Ryan's stunt doubles: Justin Eaton...martial artist, Troy Brown..high fall out of the helicopter, Logan Holladay... cannon rolls, driver, and Ben Jenkin parkour artist, man set on fire.
I laughed so hard in the theater when I heard the sound. I had to turn to my son and say ‘I will explain later’. I LOVED the movie. I’m old enough for Six Million Dollar Man and The Fall Guy tv series. Loved it!
This movie was absolutely amazing. The stunts were fantastic! I saw it the other day in the theater, and everything looked amazing on the big screen! When Tera said she wanted to rewatch it immediately, I felt the absolute same way. One of my favorite little bits was the Dune-like music for the movie within a move Metalstorm. The song over the end credits is the theme song from the original TV Series.
For as long as I live, I will never understand why this movie wasn't a box office hit. It just works on every level. Granted, most modern movie adaptations of old TV shows typically don't do well, but this should've been one of the exceptions.
As someone who PAID to see this in theaters. This is my personal opinion because I didn't enjoy the movie at all. I personally was bored during it, the comedy didn't work for me and I wasn't at all interested in the love story. I'm not usually a fan of romance, but I heard it had fun action scenes, which I felt were just blah. Plus, I felt for this being a summer blockbuster movie of this genre it was just too long, many scenes dragged for me.
I was a background actor in this but my scene got cut. Was in a warehouse while Ryan was in the fluro outfit & he was in a fight with someone but tbh think the club scene worked better. Australia got this film over a month ago so it's crazy we got it so far in advance compared to America we usually only get big films like 2 days before America.
Lee majors, the original Fall Guy was also the 6 million dollar man. They also used his sound effects during the movie, so many little beautiful nods to the past 😂
Seriously loved this movie so much! I was kinda bummed how few people went to see it in theaters, I had just a pure, enjoyable, fun time at the movies. So awesome.
Thank you for making this. Your enjoyment of this great flick was both palpable and infectious. Thanks especially for including Colt's harbour resurrection scene from 48:38 onwards. I trust you'd agree that YUNGBLUD's rendition of Kiss' I Was Made For Loving You was the perfect garnish for that particular piece of sexy bacon. Oh, and it was also great to hear your love expressed for the epic opening oner from The Place Beyond the Pines - one of my favourite Ryan Gosling films.
TV fall guy comes after the credits. The stunt guy who does the fall from the helicopter lands on his dad's air bag which they had to find. His dad was a stunt guy who holds the record for the highest fall. In the credits you see him hug his dad after he makes it.
This movie innediately set a new standard for how big the gap can be between how good a movie is vs how appreciated it is. I had a blast with it and I'm ready to be very obnoxious calling it "underrated" any chance I get.
I loved the unicorn gag so the audience knows Colt is still high. I also loved the coffe gag. So many gems, so many great scenes like in the hotel lobby.
Spot on. Ryan Gosling's mannerisms were hilarious. Like when he asks the drug dealer how long the "high" lasts and the dealer says, "When you stop seeing unicorns." Then Ryan/Colt looks over, sees a unicorn and gives a little "Tsk" of disgust. So good!
I just saw this in theaters before it lost basically all of its screens and I was like Terry the whole time. Screaming and declaring it the movie of the year. This was so much fun and a great love letter to behind-the-scenes crews. Stunt performers especially
I've been wanting to see this movie on my birthday. My dad loves Emily Blunt, mom calls Ryan Gosling "Male Barbie" and I scream "Mom! It's Ken!" I was 18 when I crushed on Ryan Gosling & he got a lot of Kenergy in this movie.
Just saw this last weekend! It was ok. I don’t think I could every truly dislike anything with Ryan Gosling in it. Shout out to Greg for doing his own stunts!😂
First reaction to this already?! Well alright. I watched the tv series (1981-1986) by Glen A. Larson; creator of so many other classics like Battlestar Galactica, Knight Rider and Magnum P.I. I first heard about an adaption over a decade ago with Dwayne Johnson involved and I thought it was never going to happen. The first trailer was mind-blowing and i was all in. Pretty much a movie within a movie with slight realism. Good cast, Ryan Gosling (Colt) & Emily Blunt (Jody) have great chemistry. I can't believe they even had the same GMC pick up truck from the show, so happy. The story is as high-powered as it's hilarious and not just a tv series becoming a film. Stuntwork during the filmmaking sequences and action sequences of the core story are as phenomenal as imagined. A much-needed love letter to the stunt industry itself and how much it's given to blockbuster films. Passion project for dir. Leitch who came from that side of Hollywood. A Guinness World Record was set for the most cannon rolls performed in a car while making this movie (beach driving sequence). Seeing Lee Majors & Heather Thomas (the og Colt & Jody) in this made me spaz the f*** out. The Unknown Stuntman (Fall Guy theme) by Blake Shelton was sung by Majors himself for the tv series. Good movie and a good start to the summer of 2024.
@49:00 its not a plot hole (in the movie that is) they make a point to put the body on ice to throw off when the time of death would be, so they suggest he died when Cole was in the city.
Yeah it’s not really a plot hole, but it’s also not a foolproof plan because the stunt guy has also disappeared for longer than Colt has been in the country and Ryder would have to also explain why he disappeared at the same time the stunt guy did.
That's because he's Ryder's personal stuntman, and if Ryder is a no-show, the stuntman is a no-show. And all Ryder has to claim he was having a dispute with Gail or something. Then just say Colt showed up all high and killed that guy. The rest they literally say in the film.
The opening sequence with showing the stunts of different films from The Rundown to Atomic Blonde to The Bourne Ultimatum were amazing. The Rundown sequence with Dwayne Johnson's character rolling down the hill was done by his cousin Tanoai Reed who has been his double for quite some time.
36:04 the sound effect when he jumps is from a TV show called "The Six Million Dollar Man" where Lee Majors played a cyborg, and that effect was played when he jumped. Later Majors played Colt Seavers, on the TV show "The Fall Guy" -- the source material for this movie.
Most might not have picked up on another slight nod to Lee Majors, the original Fall Guy. At 36:05 mark when Ryan jumps off the truck. The sound effect was the same that was used on another Major's tv show, the Bionic Man. 👏🏾
The guy who is dressed like Ryan and pulls him out of the car actually did the record breaking roll. He is in a lot of interviews. There is a car karaoke with 3 of Ryan's stunt doubles.
I feel like every guy in the movie theater, and the dudes who streamed the movie heard "it was like a sushi tray" and instantly felt bad for Colt. That's like, a guy's worst nightmare when he still hasn't moved on from their dream woman.
Lee Majors, also sang *"The Unknown Stuntman",* the theme song for the TV series. (Of which he was the star of) A cover of which was sung by Blake Shelton, for the movies end credit montage. Also in his Cameo, Heather Thomas also cameoed. Giving us both the original Colt, AND the original Jody, in the movie.😁
I just watched this yesterday. I LOVED IT. Colt and Jody had such good chemistry in my opinion, it really made me root for them. 😅 This is probably one of my favorite movies now!
I’ve always known and I’ve always recognized people in the credits and I’ve watched interviews and behind the scenes of every movie I’ve every seen and I always pay attention to the little stuff and write down names so the people who do feel insignificant can be remembered by someone so normal like me and hopefully one day I can give back to all of them and repay them for their kindness and hard work and passions. ❤
I love this reaction video!!! Tara is literally me when I watched The Fall Guy in the theater lollll. First minutes and I knew I was gonna own this movie and rewatch it. Plus y’all are the only other people I know that got the “nihilism” joke, my theater was silent and I was the only one laughing 😂😂😂 P.S. guys watch the extended version of this movie - it’s great!!
This reaction was everything I wanted and more! I saw FG opening weekend with my cousin and it’s the most fun we’ve had watching together in a long time. We even went for a spicy margarita after the show. 😅
The time line is fine because they would have told the police and TV that it was Colt and he was committing suicide. They knew it was him, but knew he wasn't committing suicide, but they did think he was dead.
episodes 4,5 and 6 of the Action docuseries that was released on Peacock goes all into the behind the scenes work that went into the stunts for the fall guy. episodes 1-3 focus on violent night. 100% ryan gosling in the opening stunt.
🥺 why must Greg always put his body on the line for our entertainment? Isn’t enough for him to risk his life going to the theaters to give us reviews of movies. This man is a saint. ❤🎉😊😂
Also... During the initial boat chase scene, you hear what seems to be the *"Miami Vice"* television series theme. (If you don't recognize the reference, give it a watch.😁
I’m obsessed with how much you guys love this movie!! I went to school for photography and I had to take a documentary class and so I have been exposed to lighting, dp, all of the juice that goes into film making..everything with film and photography and this movie makes me miss it all soooo much! I had something happen to me oct 1st 2017 and that stopped me in my tracks but I absolutely love the channel and I can definitely relate to the love and appreciation in this film and your guys reaction!! I can watch this reaction over and over it’s so fun!!❤️❤️❤️
Ps I wanted to watch this movie before seeing your guys reaction but now that I’ve seen this movie I went to the channel to finally watch your guys reaction and this is my 3rd time watching in 2 days!! I’m obsessed!! So much fun and love!!❤❤❤
I am Hart broken. He had his Miami Vice jacket, told his story about first stunk in a boat. Then during the boat scene the Music is the Miami Vice theme. But then again, I may just be too old and you never watched it...
I watched a few reviews saying this movie is ok or forgettable. This movie is so fun like it suppose to be. I have blast. Ryan and Emily together really help evaluate it too.

On the very same mat his father did his first fall on! Completing a full circle moment for them
@@IAmHavok That's just beautiful.
Opening stunt was actually Ryan and he said he was terrified so he put the sunglasses on to hide the fear in his eyes lol
Haha that’s hilarious and SO Ryan of him 😂
😮😮❤❤
When I first heard about that, I was shocked and still am! He's really brave to do it though, that's incredible! 👏👏👏👏👏🤯
I love that Aaron Taylor Johnson’s character in the film is literally just imitating Matthew McConaughey…but it’s actually spot on 😂
lmao also Tom Rider... Tom Cruise 😂 this movie is so funny
Fun fact. The guy that runs over to pull Ryan out of the car after the death roll is the driver that actually did the stunt.
Yup Logan Holladay.
@@Brook11223 I think he set a new world record with the amount of rolls too!

Not all that from what I've seen.

Sure, this Movie was pretty fun , so a sequel would be cool, just Not Sure what they could tell with it 😅
Would love another movie by these guys... but no one saw this in theaters and it made $40 from my friend and I seeing it in theaters alone lol
There won't be a sequel because you decided to watch it on vod 2 weeks after it came out in theatres
Love this film me and a friend of nine saw it the day it came out, and we both were speechless afterward
Worst stunt man ever . Jabby gonna have fun ribbing you for that 🤣😛😛
S Tier Intro. 🤣🤣🤣
Props to Greg for being the literal Fall Guy.
I wasn't expecting that 😭
The most CHAOTIC reaction intro I've ever seen😂😂😂😂

😊 here we go. Fun fact, the whole sand scene is actually true. Stutman do check to see density and dryness of the sand because that will cause resistance when you’re driving. Plus, Ryan’s character is nervous.😅😅
It’s Ryan Goslings world, we’re just living in it!
Damn right
Get a life
was worth seeing in a theatre. I wish it got the love it deserved in the box office.

I like that they used the Miami Vice theme during the boat chase.
Ryan's stunt doubles: Justin Eaton...martial artist, Troy Brown..high fall out of the helicopter, Logan Holladay... cannon rolls, driver, and Ben Jenkin parkour artist, man set on fire.
This is the best opening you all have ever done. I literally laughed out loud not expecting him to do that. Truly amazing and yes I left a like lol.
I love when they use the bionic sound when he pushes his friend out of the way of the shotgun blast. Another tribute to Lee Majors

Brilliant as feck intro....love this channel so much! Thank you guys ❤🤙🏻
I can't get over the Chemistry of Jody and Colt and the Background Music...that song 😍😍😍😍♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
1:00:00 😊 fun fact. The song at the end of the movie while the credits are rolling is the theme song from the TV show.
I love this reaction video!!! Tara is literally me when I watched The Fall Guy in the theater lollll. First minutes and I knew I was gonna own this movie and rewatch it. Plus y’all are the only other people I know that got the “nihilism” joke, my theater was silent and I was the only one laughing 😂😂😂
P.S. guys watch the extended version of this movie - it’s great!!
Literally just watched this movie in the cinema today and had to come watch this reaction straight afterwards
4:23 Ryan gosling in this scene looks like johnny blaze ghost rider
My favorite film of the year….its an absolutely perfect film
This reaction was everything I wanted and more! I saw FG opening weekend with my cousin and it’s the most fun we’ve had watching together in a long time. We even went for a spicy margarita after the show. 😅
Ryan, Emily, rom com, crazy action stunts throughout the entire film. I love all those things in that order!
Logan Holladay who doubled for Ryan Gosling in the cannon role did an incredible job. He also has a cameo as an assistant appears behind Gosling.
He broke the record 8 and half car rolls (Casino Royale was the holder with 7)
@@TheDestroyerX Yup!!!.
ive seen this in theaters 4 times its my favorite movies of the year so far 😅
Great film and grest reaction as always, you guys give me life 😂🙌🏼
Just saw this in the theaters yesterday, loved it!
The intro though lmao Lets goo bring those skits back lol
Also...
During the initial boat chase scene, you hear what seems to be the *"Miami Vice"* television series theme.
(If you don't recognize the reference, give it a watch.😁

*Huge missed opportunity* to have the action synchronized to the music.
I loved this movie! My theater was packed. We had so much fun! 💜💜💜👋😻
It was not fun at all, everything is so dragged out it just gets extremely uninteresting.
