Such an iconic park, I remember skating it with my older brother when he had just gotten out of prison. My mom took me down to see him, bought us both boards so we could skate together all weekend. Such a sick memory.
He probably just wanted a little extra protection from all the needles of the homeless lgbtq tweaker portland free rent people that are on the ground everywhere 😂
That was pretty sweet. Interesting to see their approach to the park. Props to Loy for that noseblunt. And then whoever did that huge gap! That was cool
Everybody's talking about Nyjah's clothes because you can't say shit about his skating. I'm sure I wouldn't like or wanna hang out with the guy..... but I still appreciate the dude on his board
No, people are talking shit about his clothes because he normally dresses like a kook, but even he knew that wearing Nike yoga pants and generally looking like a human billboard for large corporations would be a bad idea at Burnside. Everybody knows he's great at skateboarding.
@@amtraktohelllel kook clothes bruh he doesn’t dress that bad you don’t even know. Im talkin oakly sunnies, abercrombie plaid shorts to mid shin, collard shirt, and ta top if a heavy gel center point for the hair. ba boom
Burnside is no joke. Skated it like 6 times. Each time I left with my head in my hands. It’s hard to skate. I remember the coping being really banged up. Rough place.
@@openyoureyes7144 I remember once when I was there, Josh Faulk was there completely ruling the place. I think this was for a board company called Palace. Everyone told me that if someone at Burnside asks you to buy wheels….you say no. Saying yes meant you would get jumped for the money in your pockets. Burnside is rough and the real deal.
Hands down one of the jankiest parks I’ve ever ridden. That place is old, grimy and not smooth whatsoever. The fact ppl throw down any tricks here is astonishing

thanks for sharing this. I hope you and your brother are doing well.
that front bigspin that Nyjah did was huge.
I remember doing a documentary on this skatepark in 2008. So happy it’s still here, what a legendary spot. Portland has some cool History
So cool to see Nyjah just have fun on a skate! Alex is so smooth!
Wow this dude still owns pants
looks like he's been shifting over to windbreaker pants

Where i first learned how to drop in back in 93! I was in 8th grade. Red, Pigpen, Sage, Shorty, Mikey, all the OG's 🙏🏽
1:19 clean floater!

I used to watch an element video of Brent at burnside on my 1st gen ipod touch on repeat
So sick! Love your editing style man!
So nobody went for the secret tape?

That kickflip nyjah did over the fun box was bosssss🎉🎉🎉🎉
That was pretty sweet. Interesting to see their approach to the park. Props to Loy for that noseblunt. And then whoever did that huge gap! That was cool
It took skating at burnside to get Nyjah in a part of pants again lol
Nice! Haven't seen anyone ride a dirt bike at Burnside since watching the twistys video. Watching nijh hit pdx! respect!!!
Maybe get the dirt bike outta there...but rad to see Nyah in some unexpected terrain.
Anything goes at burns
AGREED!
Alex sorgente is the guy in the backwards hat .. ❤
Thanks! Thought he looked like Chris Joslin
@shadowthrone9999 no worries Alex is from Florida. He would skate at park Vista alot . Haven't seen him there in a minute tho ..
That kick flip

glad to see that brent was there too
Go to this park and see how insane those tricks were. Especially how they were executed. Sheesh. Street cat came through and destroyed!
Jah skatin burside and atchley in the mix? Legends

@@alexanderross7607 Extremely sick either way!

Not a chance.
Ouch! Board to the spine!
love nyjah
Hilarious to watch nyjah try to skate bowls with his steel bushings

Why are you sure you wouldn't like him? Such a weird thing to say about a dude you've never met.

Dirt bike out of nowhere! Love it
Imagine nyjah just changing styles and becoming a transition skater
im from portland
People still live in Portland? Ha! What a cesspool
Where’s the 300,000 point combo?
Then Brent started skating and everyone sat down and watched
Damn I live in Oregon wish I was there to see that. I wonder if they were visiting the Nike headquarters. That’s why they where up there.
burnside isn't in china.
@@joejoe2658 Nike headquarters is in Beaverton. He wasn't talking about where they make Nike's, lmao.
It just proves that I am not a busy skater
This park looks difficult
Nah man it's a blast even if all you do is cruise around. It has perfect flow, can roll around for hours.
Whaaaaaaaat

I had the opportunity to hit this park, but I avoided it because I didn’t want to accidentally OD on fenty

nyjah houston on transition is hard to watch to say the least
This set up is not nyjahs style, but he still did good at attempting it.
