Hello! Ive had a pigeon lay eggs on my window last year, and i took care of them by leaving bird food outside my window, sometimes i go even as far as hunting worms, insects and other baby pigeon food so that the parents dont have a hard time taking care of them. I watched them grow outside my window until they left. Now, i noticed that in the past week there was another pigeon outside my window, the same spot that the last pigeon was in when she laid her eggs. I didnt want to disturb the bird so i just left it in peace. The next morning, i checked if the bird laid eggs outside my window, and it did! Two white little eggs on its nest. But i got worried as a few days went by because i noticed that the parent hasnt gone back to the nest yet, i was worried that the eggs might die of the cold. So i checked the eggs again and to my shock, both of them were out of the nest, and were at the edge of falling from my window. I immediately took the eggs back to their nest and waited for their parent to come back. But no pigeon came back for the two eggs. I waited 2 days since that incident until i took em in my house. I couldn't let the eggs be out in the cold for so long. I did some quick research and candled the eggs to see if theyre still any good. And it seems to me that they are. But how do i keep it that way? Im no mother bird, i dont have the knowledge to keep these babies alive :( I dont have an incubator, i dont own any pets, but i cant leave these babies to die out in the cold. So now, i dont really know what to do. I really need help on how to keep them alive until they can go fly out on their own. Guys pls help me what do i do 😭

Hi, In our aviary of 11 pigeons one pair has 2 fertile eggs that will hatch in about a week. I'm wondering if the family stay with the flock or shall we move them (Mum, dad and eggs). Do pigeons attack hatchings? Thanks for any advice

I have two pet white pigeon and the female laid two eggs and sadly it never hatch after 20 days. Both of my pigeons maybe got frustrated and decided to peck their eggs. I found out later in the morning they both ate the eggs instead and what remains are empty broken egg shells.
I need help. A pigeon built a nest on my balcony. We didn’t go near it or her. From the window I noticed one egg, then couple days later a second one. Right about 2 weeks time, one egg went missing but the pigeon was still nesting the second egg. Yesterday the pigeon disappeared and so did the second egg. I didn’t hear any babies so I’m really confused. I did snap a photo and it may have been that both eggs were slightly cracked at some point. Could she have discarded the eggs or eaten them? If the nest was unsecured or opened, then probably a raven or bigger birds attacked the pigeon or pigeon left for a while, then bigger birds took the eggs, yes they could carry the eggs.... I saw from youtube, type 'pigeon eggs missing', . It was also a mystery to us ysdy as why the eggs on our balcony were gone.

its been 3 days that a pigeon laid 2 eggs on our balcony on a rough door mat. Hey Brandon, I saw your comment on another video about how to get a pigeon to get used to you. If you give her seeds every day and just talk nicely and gently to her, she will eventually eat seeds out of your hand, and drink water too. It's good to add nutrients such as crushed up and grated oyster shell for calcium and also vitamin D as she will need this in her diet after laying eggs. Sunflower seeds are always a number one favourite, but they need a variety of seeds and grains for a balanced diet. But sunflower seeds work a treat if you want to make friends! Did the egg hatch alright? Was there just one? Good luck! When I was a child, I helped a pigeon with an injured wing and when he could fly again, he brought his wife back to my windowsill, then later they both brought their babies. The whole family would come every day for food. Pigeons are such intelligent and beautiful birds.

I have two pigeons that one of them laid one egg, I do not know the exact time frame it laid the egg, roughly last month but when I'm not sure, I see that you say that it can hatch at 17 to 19 days, what temp should it be?
I'm here because of the same thing! Pigeons have been a nuisance for few years as they always mess up my balcony. I went on vacation for few weeks, and I just came to find a nest and 2 eggs! I don't know what to do! Should I get rid of them? Or let it be? I'm afraid they will get used to it, and a whole clan will colonize my balcony 😢
Let them be mate. they are adorable innocent birds. Whole colony cannot take over because the dad pigeon will defend his territory. The male Pigeon will not allow other pigeons there and he will do a much better job than you the house owner. In his mind this is also his house. It will only be the dad and mom and two of the babies. After a month the babies will fly and go on their own way.. Don't get rid of them they choose your place thinking your are a safe person. Don't make them sad. You will enjoy their stay and it will bring joy watching the adorable babies begging the parents for food. Don't miss it.

When second egg is laid incubation count down begins ... norm 19 days ... normally hens will lay 2 eggs ... you’d lucky if you get 3 in one nesting ... especially if there prized mates ... are there two eggs in nest bowl, no rodents running around loft at nights, nest box are cleaned, spray mates of parasites and finally give them a bath ... 🤔

@@vocvl9329 I waited it out until the baby pigeons hatched. And then waited a few more weeks for them to be able to fly away, after they flew away I made some adjustments to my balcony so there arent any closed off spaces where pigeons like nesting

Let’s just say one of my Homies made one egg two days later laid the next egg six days later or seven days later I checked to see if they were fertile and one was fertile and one wasn’t one had veins and the other one had nothing should I leave it to see if it will fertile or take it out and throw it out can you get back to me? Separate them and match each one of them with different pair and don't let them see each other for some time they'll breed for you in that way, or make sure you keep them far from where you can notice any predators if pigeon don't feel safe They won't sit on eggs

This bird is being kept in captivity for the amusement of its owner . It is however essentially a wild creature which does not take kindly to people poking around in its nest , especially when it's brooding eggs . People defend their children and a bird will defend its nest , young and eggs . It does not need feeding and would survive perfectly well outside if it escaped , so why should it show any gratitude ? I found the cage these birds were being kept in not particularly clean.

I have two pet white pigeon and the female laid two eggs and sadly it never hatch after 20 days. Both of my pigeons maybe got frustrated and decided to peck their eggs. I found out later in the morning they both ate the eggs instead and what remains are empty broken egg shells.
I need help. A pigeon built a nest on my balcony. We didn’t go near it or her. From the window I noticed one egg, then couple days later a second one. its been 3 days that a pigeon laid 2 eggs on our balcony on a rough door mat. If you give her seeds every day and just talk nicely and gently to her, she will eventually eat seeds out of your hand, and drink water too. It's good to add nutrients such as crushed up and grated oyster shell for calcium and also vitamin D as she will need this in her diet after laying eggs. Sunflower seeds are always a number one favourite, but they need a variety of seeds and grains for a balanced diet. But sunflower seeds work a treat if you want to make friends! Did the egg hatch alright? Was there just one? Good luck! When I was a child, I helped a pigeon with an injured wing and when he could fly again, he brought his wife back to my windowsill, then later they both brought their babies. The whole family would come every day for food. Pigeons are such intelligent and beautiful birds.

I'm here because of the same thing! Pigeons have been a nuisance for few years as they always mess up my balcony. I went on vacation for few weeks, and I just came to find a nest and 2 eggs! Let them be mate. they are adorable innocent birds. Whole colony cannot take over because the dad pigeon will defend his territory. The male Pigeon will not allow other pigeons there and he will do a much better job than you the house owner. In his mind this is also his house. It will only be the dad and mom and two of the babies. After a month the babies will fly and go on their own way.. Don't get rid of them they choose your place thinking your are a safe person. Don't make them sad. You will enjoy their stay and it will bring joy watching the adorable babies begging the parents for food. Don't miss it.

When second egg is laid incubation count down begins ... norm 19 days ... normally hens will lay 2 eggs ... you’d lucky if you get 3 in one nesting ... especially if there prized mates ... are there two eggs in nest bowl, no rodents running around loft at nights, nest box are cleaned, spray mates of parasites and finally give them a bath ... 🤔

So, I will wait until the eggs have hatched...then I suppose I will have to wait until the squabs are old enough to fly away? How long will that be? @@vocvl9329 I waited it out until the baby pigeons hatched. And then waited a few more weeks for them to be able to fly away, after they flew away I made some adjustments to my balcony so there arent any closed off spaces where pigeons like nesting

It is however essentially a wild creature which does not take kindly to people poking around in its nest , especially when it's brooding eggs . People defend their children and a bird will defend its nest , young and eggs . It does not need feeding and would survive perfectly well outside if it escaped , so why should it show any gratitude ? I found the cage these birds were being kept in not particularly clean.
