otdave: you are right about the missed count. I was helping JR with the commentating, but he was doing quite a bit at once and apparently when he updated the score at the end of one of the racks he inadvertently entered an 8 instead of a 6.
When Ortmann was on 86 his score said 66, then after potting nine balls he changed it to 75 but was actually on 95. Unless the screen score board is the one that's wrong.
Could someone explain why Martin could pot the ball, forfeit the next shot and replace the ball at the bottom of the rack. The commentators called it a safety. Also, why are they allowed to shot away from the rack, when there is no touching ball, without making contact with a ball under a safety duel? Thanks.
1. If you pocket a ball that you didn't call you pass the turn to your opponent and ball is respotted. That's a safety. 2. You can make a safety making a voluntary foul. You get minus 1 in the score. Third consecutive foul is minus 16. Touching ball doesn't exist in pool as in snooker.
If shooter calls safe any balls he makes are spotted and next shooter plays ball cue ball where it lies. The shot that didn't hit anything is a foul, and one ball was deducted from shooters running total. And the final score was corrected, the announcers weren't paying attention.
@otdave2784 Exactly. Do you really think a guy like Oliver Ortman, "The Machine" himself, can make a mistake on the score, especially his point number? LMAO
I like how Ray moves... slow and unbothered🎱
Why don't you show the score during the videos
The 14 ball moves by itself at 13:10
The 10 ball does it at 36:39 as well.
13:12 The i guess it´s the 14 in the center of the table moves by itself... :-)))
@Arthur Cory dont do its complete bullshit

It does appear as if that was a touching ball.
