    Perfect! Man. Cheers! I needed plant wall hangers and at the same time I can get rid of the hangers I receive with dry cleaned clothes.

    Thank you - I've been looking at pre-made pot rings but they're expensive and would take a while to arrive; I already have some wire and a stack of pots so am really looking forward to getting going with this straight away : D

      I need to test wire hangers as it seems like an option to many viewers.

    What gauge/size wire would you recommend for medium weight pots? I’m trying to hang a couple 4 inch plants in ceramic pots

    Great idea! Thanks for sharing this! I wonder if you could figure out how to hang plant pots from overhead using a similar technique?

    Hello -this is a great but simple design. What gauge wire do you use? I have noticed in a lot of comments, others have asked you the same question and you respond "it's in the video description"' but I cannot see any video description...!!! Would you be able to answer the question without the redirection ??

      Hi. Below is a copy paste part of the original description.
      ‘Fencing Line Wire galvanised green PVC coated were used in this video. ~ 3.3mm. 12 gauge steel (2.5mm). Suitable for light weight plastic pots. Thicker wire and improved shape can be used for heavier pots.’
      It is all relative. Depends on your situation, weight of your pots (with water saturated soil) and plants, type of wire available to you. This was one-off DIY project that worked for me. Posted as an idea for others to develop or discard it. In theory you can bend a rebar to this shape to hold quite heavy pots. But it won’t be visually pleasing.

    What type wire I sd ask on hardware shop? What gauze size is this?

  • @kristenjenkinson6109

    Do you think 10 gauge copper wire would work? I tried a hanger and found it way to hard to make precise bends. Thanks

      Hi. Thank you for your interest. This is just an idea that I wanted to share with others. I can’t comment on other options as I’ve never tried any. Well, I feel I need to. When you face a problem you need to take different approach. Try to use pliers to bend the wire? Let me know if you can. I don’t have any wire hangers to play with.

    For heavy pots like 50kg or less how much thick wire should be used ?

    • @S0dininkas
      @S0dininkas  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      For pots like 50 kg you’ll need some drawings and a welder.

      Hi. Local store or online. Other option - be creative.

    • @kathleenmurphy2379

      God's heart you! Can also use the wire or suspension ceilings that they sell at Lowe's or Home Depot. Rick's orchids on TH-cam shows you also how to make a plant hanger but also has a way to have a piece of wire coming up in the middle of the pot to tie a flower Spike on to and that's the kind of wire he uses

      Well, I need to give it a try to tell.

    That’s 12 gauge wire under that PVC coating? I’m using smaller wire - 14 gauge galvanized steel wire and I needed a bolt cutter to cut it and needed a lot more force to do all the bends. Maybe I’m just a wimpy girl.

    • @S0dininkas
      @S0dininkas  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are different types of wire (like anything else). It depends on your locality. I gave the measurements from my order. You’ll give it a try with what you have. You’ll try with something different. You’ll try again and again, and again. And here you go. You’ve nailed it. Or... you’ve got something new!
