Ok, I am 81 years old, Back in the dark ages, I was a division 1 player but now I don’t have the strength to get the ball to the goal from the free throw line, so I started shooting with 2 hands. My form is to get the guide hand to work exactly like the right hand so the follow through is exactly the same for both hands so now I can make a respectable percentage 3 or 4 feet beyond the free throw line. I am just trying to shoot around with my grandsons. Just wondering if any of your readers had similar experience.
Na, but w grandpa hope your grandons appreciate you still being able to hoop with them and being there for them along the way
The fact that at 81 you are still going on the court to play with your grandsons is amazing.
I hope I have that determination at 81. Inspired by your comment.
Legendary
So inspirational 🥲
You guys deserve atleast ten million more . You‘re a whole group of coaches for basketball players and your videos are amazing . I started basketball and had the ugliest shooting now it‘s decent . Still not good but much better . I don‘t have a basketball and I only play it at school . And because of this I can‘t do your exercises and even without it helped me so much . So thank you for your great videos ❤❤

Any tips how to shoot with the base of your finger tips and how to release while following through straight also how to flick it at the same time
Yo thank u so much for the vid! But is it possible to give a detailed breakdown of the U shape method? (Namely the transition from the U to the release square to the basket) ❤
Thank you so much broo
BROOOOO THANK YOUU
Thanks man!
Tnx G know I’m bricking even more..
Im also a lefty but every time I shoot it looks like im shooting with my guide as well this help me a lot thanks

Coach hw can get my shooting hand under the basketball every time I shoot
Thinking aboy starting basketball now
thank you bro
I just needed help with hand placement on the ball because I keep on changing where I put my hand on the ball
Wow thank you! 3 people are in ICU thanks to your advice coach👊🏾
I was curious to see if he was gonna use standard form or that side of the head steph curry form
I am a new hooper like when I was kid I had surgery so I couldn't do sports until I was 10 but I still didn't hoop till today since it summer I wanna try new things
Any videos for people like me? That shoots with the right hand but i'm left handed and my dominant eye is left. Still cant figure out my shot and form 😭
My classmates do shooting the wrong position they use 2 hands when they shoot and i know it is more easy when you use 2 hands but i do it the right way thanks for it.
drills to fix feet position ?
Does anyone know what the shoe is
Very great insightful video , the only 1 thing I disagree with is to put your strong hand's leg in front because it's put you out of balance as opposed to 1 feet 🦶 next to the other ...
When I put the ball high I can’t get any power got any tips?
Is that at 8gradys in abq???
This instantly improved my shot, wtf. I feel like I can’t stop splashing
Gotta be an adjustment for young shooters that dont have massive hands which is the guide hand perpendicular and over top. So they can keep the ball under control
thanks for the advice but i dont think in a game u have enough time to find the needle
nice vid 🫡
legend, i just made it to the NBA from this video. :D
Messing, im from Wales UK, and i craved aiming sports, like darts i use to play. So my ball arrived today :) so will be having fun and burning calories.
Great
Havin problem where should the ball be when i start upper release? Like should it be on top my eyebrow or should i look over the ball
Around ur eye but u definitely shouldn't be looking over the ball
This video is very helpful tysm I will look at more vids for more tips,NBA if you see this get this guy an MVP
what about old hoopers that are new to basketball?
Why did you flip it🙆♂️ left handed hoopers out here too bro
There are more right handed people
Sup. Lefty too
lol facts
Business decision nothing personal
🐐🥇💯
hey im left handed but i want to learn to shoot righty but im some hot dooky when shooting righty should i just stay lefty?
if your good with your left hand, why are you trying to shoot with your right?
I actually tot that was jamual murray for a moment 😂
Fr bro😭😭
Same 😂
Racist ass
@@John-kl7qgthat ain't racist lil bro😭🙏
Hi bro I once saw that great shooters like trae and steph they don't always load their wrists, instead put it on the side or top and load it on the way up. I heard it's because of our body's muscles not being build to generate as much power when the wrist is loaded.
Is this true and can I do this as well? Because loading my wrist actually feels really stiff to me
he said it’s bad to load your wrist
Loading the wrists is a very good thing but don’t OVERLOAD ur wrists to the point it doesn’t feel comfortable. Just load your wrists to your personal preference/comfortability and go from there
Loading ur wrists too much makes ur hand feel stiff but just loading not too much makes it a lot more bettwr
Whenever I release the bal from that height, I never seem to have the strength to shoot it from behind the three point line. Is this because my legs aren’t in sequence?
I agree with you, I can never seem to shoot accurately behind the three point line. The aim for me is really good, but the strength needs working on. I asked one of my friends about this, since he has really good shooting ability and I’ve seen him shoot halfcourts before, and he told me it was about the arm strength and all that. I’m not sure about the legs but my friend told me it was the hands.. but im not sure if he’s a reliable source.. just telling you what I know 😂
Yes, it's all legs and how smooth your overall motion is.
Also more practice will make your wrist flick stronger.
thank you now I'm scoring 20 points a game
now my friends cant make fun of my jumper
Haha silly jumper
like sometimes i dont have enough power to shoot perfectly even if I want to any tips?
Try weightlifting
Use your legs more. If you get the rhythm down right you will have the power.
Also just more practice. Your wrist flick will get stronger over time.
Vidoe for smaller guards to be more physical and dominate please.
Easy solution... Get taller
weight room
Great job❤
Weight room and this is coming from a short guard I started 4 months ago and I've been more physical in games
If you want to have more physical presence, I'm afraid the only solution is hitting the weight room in the gym.
I love it. Thanks, Jamal Murray. Get it done next season. Let's go nuggets 😂
yo what if im only good at one legged jumpers, contact shots, and pull up jumpers
work on your release timing when u jump
@@hawkblitzclips alr
Idk why every tutorial I watch on how to shoot says put your index and middle finger on the air pump hole that makes sense but not really because if someone passes it you gotta line it up on the air pump hole
It's just to get used to the placement. With time you will be able to put your fingers in the middle without looking
I do everthing here except i shoot from my forehead
my bumbass zoned out so i goutta rewatch da video
Im a lefty too i need one for us lefties
Same thing just flipped. I'm also lefty
Why can everyone else make it but I can’t fucking shot a free throw
Second
Bruh I’m a lefty to 😭😭
Whats funny is that my jump shot is was worse now
Kinda looks like Jamal Murray
Fr 😂
0:27
