Thank you Steve for all the doors that close you are one window that open as a great hero . I’m so happy your stories are real people and real dream. Everyone would be grateful and thankful to a great man like you. Blessing to you and your family . I just tried to survive my life because of some hectic, painful stories been true in a beautiful marriage. End up unhappy for the rest of my life. But I hold onto my faith. Amen. I know god will alway bless you and your family. F
The Olympics introduced me to so many sports. I am a fanatic watcher. Pole vaulting is something that frightens me while watching. The senior champion really is a champion.
I love On The Road and Steve Hartman. It’s encouraging to see the good and kindness all around the country. These re-visits are great reminders and it’s good to hear where they are now in their life journey. Thank you CBS for listening to Charles Kuralt about this series all those years ago, and for continuing the series today. Thank you Steve Hartman for your continued service to our national community. I loved the recent episode at the school where the teacher shows On The Road to students. I can think of no better way to teach our young people about courage, empathy, kindness, love and so much more. My son and I watch an episode nearly every day. He has multiple disabilities so our life can be challenging. These messages of hope keep us going. God bless us, every one☀️
The story of the boy who couldn't swim, and then, went to qualify his school for the State competition was amazing. Another one, the auto mechanic who became doctor...incredible.
I completely understand Edward. As a teenager I didn’t know how to do long division, but I was very good at calculating it in my head. Teachers didn’t understand how I did it, until finally a friend of mine in the first year of University showed me how to do it. It went from shame to elation that day. And my secret was safe. I lost my ability to divide long numbers in my head, but it didn’t matter, I had the tool to do it like every one else. Edward, I felt your pain. Now, I am a Ph.D, and until I saw you story, I had suppressed it. Then, I cried my eyes out… thank you, Mr. Hartman, you are a great person. May your life be happy and full filled.
Please keep all this inspiration coming, it warms my heart and soul everyday. We always are bombarded with bad things, it is so refreshing to see the good in mankind. Thanks for the uplift.
Sir i we enjoy every video. Ive been told by a couple different men that im an inspiration. I walk daily on road. I was hit by a car when I was young. I have a limp on left side. It's paralyzed. But walk on and on

I'm glad that all your stories have update I glad that the girl from Denver is in college and her family is doing well. I always wonder about her since you first reported the story. I look forward to Fridays for On The Road.
Dear Steve, You have my dream job. I wish there was a machine that could clone you. If so, I'd take you as my brother. I had a brother, but he had a hard and troubled life. He wasn't really around while I grew up, but I wish he had been. He didn't get cleaned up until his 30s, but we still were not close. He was never good with opening up. He committed suicide in 2007. Only after his death did I learn about him. He told me he taught chess online and did a few tournaments, but I found out he did so much more. There is now an online tournament each year. The Duncan Oxley Memorial Tournament. He touched so many people's lives. I guess I just wish I had a brother as sweet and kind as you. I look forward to your segment every week. You give so many people hope. Please never go away!
