The little island @1:50 with the old house was the summer retreat for Thomas Andrews of Titanic fame, I live on Sketrick which has the advantage of Daft Eddies bar within a stones throw, the only disadvantage is that Daft Eddies bar is within a stones throw LOL. Sketrick is a real hidden gem of a place as are the dozens of other occupied islands in the Lough. Great video.

Looks an amazing, very peaceful place to wander ❤. Imagine it's a lot busier in warmer months! My kayak and I would love to have a paddle around the islands 😁. The lighthouse boat flower planter is cute 😍. Listening to your voice is very soothing! I'm trying to work out if that's you singing on the song at the end of the video?

It really is amazing but needs the sunshine and a calm day to make it special. Haha my friend wrote the end song for me but thought it would be fun if I sang on it, so yes it's me ;-) Thanks for watching.

@@nornirishrover A man of many talents then! My friend and I are currently on our way to Dublin for a few days. I wanted to go to Belfast, but I guess Dublin will be very nice. And very expensive 😱😱.

Very good indeed, hope you both have a lovely time. It's been a few years since I've visited but always found the Irish to be welcoming and friendly. The City has in recent years sadly taken a hit by mass uncapped migration, like the wonderful historic O'Connell Street is now unrecognisable and has become a bit of a skid row, tent city, there. Tensions with their non-listening Government is currently running a bit high, but isn't that the same all over? Just stick with the locals and you'll be fine. Yes Dublin is more expensive than Belfast and the rest of Ireland too, it's become like London in a way. Wishing you both a great holiday ;-)
