Somewhere theres music How faint the tune Somewhere theres heaven How high the moon There is no moon above When love is far away too Till it comes true That you love me as I love you Somewhere theres music How near, how far Somewhere theres heaven Its where you are The darkest night would shine If you would come to me soon Until you will, how still my heart How high the moon Somewhere theres music How faint the tune Somewhere theres heaven How high the moon The darkest night would shine If you would come to me soon Until you will, how still my heart How high the moon
Natalie has an exceptionally clean vocal quality and great intonation (better than my expertly set up guitars O-o ) I like the tempo changes, which otherwise would be abrupt, but in her style she pulls it off!
@95Galante Ella didn't write the song. She actually did this wonderfully. It's absurd to suggest that one shouldn't try to perform a standard because a great has already done it.
She can sing, for sure. Before the scat I wasn't sure she could pretend to be a jazz singer. Afterwards, I still think she's a pop singer who did well on a jazz song. Tempo, tempo... I'll listen to more of her and see if I change my mind.
Mmmm, yeah I'm not to sure about the scat bit either, it works ok but leave that to the likes of Ella. I think her voice suits the Big Band swing style ( its not Jazz is it really ). I like it better than the pop stuff.. I think shes got a great voice though..
She is pretty good, she has a wonderfull voice. it is pretty hard to be compared to Ella Fitzgerald, which is according to me, the Micheal Jordan of jazz singing
Natalie is awesome!! This performance really topped it! Go Nat! :-)
Delightful to see a classic embraced by a new generation of performer. We done!

GO GO GO GIRL. LOVE THAT AUSSY ACCENT.
Fantastic! You go girl.
I have just played the Anna Buturlina version and of all the singers I think Anna has the edgeSHE IS SOOOO INVENTIVE. What a kool kat !!
Omg. Amazing. Not everybody do that AND sing ella fitzgerald songs. Wao. Congrats!!
@95Galante

WOW!
perfect for me
Amazing! I'm learning this for a talent show. The scat is so difficult.
amazing scat!
GREAT
You're a great singer
Listen to Ella Fitzgerald Live in Berlin from 1960, that's where all these versions of How High the Moon started.

Awesome! Any jazz fans dig the Ornithology quote in the trumpets at 0:30?
I really don't see the problem with the scat... I mean it wasn't Ella... but who is? Not bad for the youngster.
she should right her own music
@Brskaylor She did win.
@sxcxk777 wat that was great
@SavageJim01
you cant compare them!
May you like Lolas version more than this one, but it's a really good performance Natalie Gauci is doing here!!!
She is pretty good, she has a wonderfull voice. it is pretty hard to be compared to Ella Fitzgerald, which is according to me, the Micheal Jordan of jazz singing
Was Natalie doing an imitation of Ella Fitzgerald or Christina Aguilera?
@beverleye she didnt....dats australian idol
After de scat she lost the swing.
I dont say that she cant sing ... but is just not my style... i think Les Paul and Mary Ford played it better in 1953...
..so much better than Taylor Swift...
She is no Lola Albright. Lola sang this song way better
The scatting sucked thought.
And yeah, the ending shouldn't have been rushed up.
can you say cheeeesyyyyyyy ugh
I thought the song was good all round from beginning to end.
she is awesome!
but is she copying Ella Fitzgerald?
Not as good as Mary Ford and it was to modern sounding.
Meh average. But at least she chose a good song/genre.
That scat was horrible...almost painful to watch.
crap
CRAP!
that was terrible
She Tore That Song Up- Superb with a lot of Flava.
