This is visual gold. The skating, the era, the atmosphere, the energy everyone had when their homies landed tricks. All of the Marcus McBride footy was insane.
I used to skate there every weekend in this era. Marcus, Welsh, Karl, York, & Henry were always there. Got the occasional treat of a Lavar or Lennie Kirk sighting, too. Skating there, at that time, was the best. And buying new Spitfires from Chef Pierre for $10 a set.
Man im from germany! And back in the 90’s i got to skate this place! It was so dope! The ground was so good to skate on and the skating that went down there is legendary! One of the dopest spots of all time! ✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻
The style, the energy. This video is gold. Mike York, Rob Welsh, Karl Watson, Henry Sanchez, Marcus McBride.... the list of people in this is absolute fire. Henry has to be one of the best ever.
I can watch footy of Wu Welsh skate Pier 7 forever! Marcus is a pure speed demon and just decimates the blocks! So amazing to see Andy Honen and Jason Wussler footy! I remember those tricks from high school! So low key in the spotlight but always had the gems! Sanch and Lavar is just pure style This compilation was MAGIC!
Feel so lucky to have been able to skate this spot during this era. Marcus, Henry, Stevie, so many unbelievable tricks went down. Spot had such a cool vibe. Ground was so smooth, perfect place to learn some shit.
Unbelievable! Just visited Pier 7 today for the second time. I’m from AZ. Looking at the pads it’s hard to fathom some of these tricks. Especially that switch tre. Unreal!
I skated here in the 90's. Like 95? Mike York gave me one single clap for doing a nose manual on that longer manual pad. I bought Karl Watson's deck and gave it to my brother. It's my favorite spot. Only skated it one day.
mann 7.5 board, big tongue shoes, big pants, this is sooooo nostalgic. but i actually never use any of big tongue shoes during this era, always paired up with adidas superstar
I don't understand. how is this footage so clear? Is it like digitally enhanced or something? I remember watching some of these clips as a kid and I don't remember them being this crystal clear.
The picture quality today has definitely went up, clarity wise, but man do I miss how skating used to sound on these cameras. That crisp clean snap. New cameras make skating sound like your popping off of a soaked water logged board lol Like a dull thud instead of a crisp snap. it honestly takes away from the experience for me. Maybe its just me idk. This is great though!
This shits amazing love seeing all the dudes who ripped that spot from kalis welsh Carroll Marcus and lavar like fuck Kenny Anderson and a gang of dudes killed it too
YOU GET A BLUNTSLIDE. AND YOU GET A BLUNTSLIDE. AND YOU GET A BLUNTSLIDE. HOLD UP WAIT, THERE IS ONE FOR YOU. YOU GET A NOSEBLUNT AND YOU GET A NOSEBLUNT.

Marcus had such power and style
Sam Meehan right ! Switch manny switch tre out up Pier 7. Like that’s fucked. Majority of people couldn’t even get close to that... In regular stance.
I have a special place in my heart for Welsh footage.

This will continue to stand the test of time.

It's crazy to see the streets as empty as they were in some of the clips
This was when skateboarding was awesome. Still is but skateboarding back then was so much relaxed.
Unbelievable! Just visited Pier 7 today for the second time. I’m from AZ. Looking at the pads it’s hard to fathom some of these tricks. Especially that switch tre. Unreal!

A great time In skateboarding. It was still skating and having fun. Before Nike, energy drinks and other multinational corporations tainted the sport.
Jocks are ruining the aesthetic.
vx gold times
Ahh, those were the days.
I went to SF last summer and just bugged out at seeing Pier 7 in person after watching it on video for a decade.
Gotta bring thick shoes back!
Dan the Man éS just did, DC never stopped making them.

For the tastemakers coming over from embarco, this place was easy for those guys to skate.
Fastest 9 minutes. With these raw clips you kinda get the feel of the entire sitaution.

😁👍
this always reminds me of how you can't do any of this by yourself. Maybe after you skate with somebody. It's a revival, thank you!
💣
Damn near every bluntslide was done here
This is like 5% of the clips there
Was it Pat Washington who simply overdid it?
the board were so tiny and the shoes so puffy and yet they all so steezy
Welsh cab noseblunt 360 👀
