chris joslins part has to be one of the greatest parts ever, pretty much every trick he did could be an ender but not for joslin. Nobody knew who he was and suddenly you just see this random 18 year old kid nobody knows about and he just 360 flips Uc davis gap, chris joslins part raised the standard for skateboarding parts. one of the greatest of all time.
young joslin was a freak. so much power and finesse at the same time. and a psychopath to boot. surpised he never got a soty with a breakout part like this. think he did have some bad knee injuries that fucked his prime up
Everyone will rally around Joslins part in this, and they're not wrong. Its the best introduction of a new skater in skateboarding history (if there's a better one, let me know). But Pudwill deserves his flowers too. His part was an absolute thing of beauty!
Joslin's part was so in tune all throughout the part with the song barricuda that was used....that the sounds from his skating and skateboard literally became part of the percussion in the song. The editor edited it to perfection. That alone was so satisfying.
I watched this video ON the plane when I was heading to LA for the first time. I was moving there to pursue a career in skateboarding. This video hyped me up so much I think it actually helped me make it. Torey and Joslin's Parts made me want to really step up my game. Also Sheck's Tre Flip down the Hollywood 16 is such a beauty!
The first skate video I ever bought was Plan B- Questionable. I had to have my mom call California and use her credit card over the phone. The first legit deck I ever bought was the Sean Sheffey "Malcolm X" board. It was the era of "big pants, small wheels". I discovered myself then. It's been 32 years and I still feel like that same person. Plan B will always have a special place in my heart.
We are not only ones 😂 had plan b sean seffey malcolm x slick deck, indy trucks, and new deal wheels...my first video was Powell Peralta with Hill jumping a huge gap between two basketball courts
The fast paced editing kinda takes away some of the edge from his part as doesn't give enough time to process and appreciate the trick and location. Sheckler got great style too I would have liked to see a tiny fraction more of the roll up and roll away of each shot
@@Beltway what does that have to do with any of the skating and tricks tho. It seems like people use whatever knock that they can think of and only when it comes to shreks it seems like tho. Like let's say that it was joslin that used the same song and music and stuff instead....then more than likely no-one else would have said anything like that and for any of his parts and tricks tho either. Not saying that you are for sure doing exactly that right here and stuff.....but your comment did remind me of that tho. But people are really doing that tho and especially when it comes to him tho tbh.
I'm being Dead serious: Chris Joslin's part might be the best individual skate part EVER! This is years later and i think his part has just gotten better over time. Very few can come close to that kind of elite level
Damn I can remember being so stoked anticipating this video coming out. Chris Joslin intro part was very suitable, hes such a beast. I got a friend whos known as one of the city's craziest stair huckers and people have called him Edmontons Chris Joslin. Joslin just doesnt seem to care about beating himself up, takes a strong mentality to keep jumping something big after slamming so many times. My friend Vinnie and Joslin jumped an eleven stair together in Vancouver a few years back during Go Skate Day, such a crazy sesh and I got to film both stomp their tricks! Doesnt get any better than that, getting to see your homie jump stairs with your fav skater!!
ABSOLUTELY mind-boggling tricks landed, SUPERIOR EDITING and of course STUNNING filming, like WTF!?!?! insane! pure gold...need more words... 404 could not find more words just the overall production quality as well, reminds me of Red Bul Media productions, awesome!
I was thinking about this the other day, I bought the cd and lost it some years ago, I remember being mind blown by joslins part, and in awe of felipes cleanliness
i remember when this came out on netlfix forever ago. ive watched maybe 10 times. thanks for bringing this back up. one of the most legendary skate vids of my time as a kid. i cannot express how much i love this video. i saw this on my feed and was like i havent seen a plan b vid in years and thought of this video not knowing this video was this video. very pleasant surprise
Bought this on DVD 10 years ago. This will be my first time seeing it tho cuz my DVD straight up didn't work. It was weird. Tried it on DVD players and laptops and nothing. The shop told me to reach out to Plan B. I did and they asked for my address and then i never heard from them again or received a replacement haha. Looking forward to finally seeing this.
I’m so grateful I got to be at the premiere for this. I searched everywhere for a ticket and they were all sold out. I only got one because someone realized they couldn’t go and brought it back to the skate shop. Thank you to that person! Once I had that yellow ticket it might as well been Charlie’s Golden ticket to the chocolate factory.
One of the best skate videos ever. Starting off with Joslin's unstoppable slaughter and that back lip down University 15 in a line?! Nobody could hit it that way much less throw a back lip! Then the Davis tre flip is downright inhuman to name 5% of the carnage. Then Torey's part is jawdropping part to end it...The music and editing and top tier style and skill of the whole team makes this a classic Plan B video. Their videos are the best down through the skate ages. An old favorite I grew up with is "Revolution" ...Duffy went MAD in that one!
10 years ago, last year of high school, was pretty much skating whenever possible, still remember the hype of this coming out and first hearing about Chris Joslin. Hell of a skater
Chris MF JOSLIN!!!! Love this video from start to finish. Bought it back when it released and I'm glad to see it go up on YT for future generations to enjoy. GET SOME!!!!
I'm 50yrs old !! Most of you we're even born yet when Duffy came out of nowhere !! You think today's skaters are sick, look up Duffy's old videos !! That rail he skated in the rain put both pros and amateurs alike on notice !! The fact that Duffy is still ripping it defines true grit and no fear. Yes, i skated in the late 80s / early 90s. Duffy was part of a crew that blew street skating away back then... and he still is ! Although, videos today often look the same to me- people playing soccer on ledges- flip in , grind / slide - flip out.... Pudwell breaks that cycle, he does his on ledges measured in the height of stories !! As does Sheckler ! Pudwell " popped " 6-8ft off a f'n rock and landed on a rock - wtf is that ?? Pudwell's late shove-it ?? Nobody does those ?? Why ? Sheckler doing big Sheckler things as always- body and mind blowing !! Chris's part - omfg !! Thanks for the great movie !! No, thanks for the epic f'n movie !!
Chris Joslin still has top 5 best parts ever, and that was almost a fucking decade ago. Hats off to you Joslin your a different breed your just built different.
Joslins part might be maybe the best of all time? I always show it to friends who don't have a clue about skateboarding because they still recognize it's wildness
Was really looking forward to seeing his part before it came out as I watched the process of him filming those tricks but the fast pace editing and music kinda takes away some of the magic. Bro what are you tlking about? He was known already for Ground Control and The Berrics Recruited even before were introduced in Plan B.
@@JaimeAvilesArmashe was known as the kid on Powell who destroyed rincon. But this part def was when he became that guy
I dont know how it wasn't last past
@@infinidominion because he was introduced to the plan b team in that video and torey has way more hard tricks that was torey prime
This video still holds up to this day. So ahead of its time. Joslin’s part is timeless. It could come out in 2034 & still be a banger.

One of the BEST videos ever.
Joslins part may be the heaviest part I’ve ever seen.

@Noah-p6x6jlet the man live, it’ll happen fam
I totally agree. It's all so good.
This was legendary... I used to watch it before skate sessions 🇧🇷
Back in the day this was on Netflix and I’d watch it every single day, one of the best skate films of ALL time

you know what, despite the lack of the infamous el toro bs flip, Sheckler's part is still a damn good part imo.

One of the only times it got upped was when his album part came out in ‘18 and he was robbed soty
As far as heaviness goes definitely. Best gap skater of all time and it’s not even close.

That Joslin part is so raw and energetic, jesus he destroyed everything in his part.

10 YEARS?! Omg life goes too fast.
Editing on this video with soundtracking goes so hard! Memorable! Good job team
I was at the premier for this in LA. Probably the best crowd watching Joslin’s part, music was perfect too. Will never forget that 🙌
Holy shit... actual skateboarding!!
Back then it was a gem and it still hasn't lost it's shine.
This brings me back to an earlier time in my life and i Love that. Thankyou for unearthing old vibes.

The skating alone made this video amazing, but the editing made it epic.

Joslins part is epic. Arguably the best hard flips and nollie backside flips in the game. The nbsf down the double set going mock 10. 🔥
