    I just recently bought the FNX Tactical last month, and I only put 75 rounds through it. I decided on the FNX Tactical because I'm more of a hammer fire guy than a striker fire ( I do own a Smith and Wesson M&P Shield 45 that is striker fire that is easy to conceal but it doesn't have high compasity mags). Anyway, after watching reviews on the FNX Tactical, I decided to get one and I love how it handles.
    Mine not only came in the case with accessories that you presented, but it came with five fifteen round mags for one hundred dollars less and I bought it brand new. Also like to say that you gave a great review on both firearms, so my complement to you. Great job

      Thank you & thank you for watching! The FNX is a great gun! Enjoy!

    I love my FNX, it shoots great. But i like the FN545 trigger better.

    I have an FNX45T, before I ever fired a shot with it I swapped the Vortex red dot for a Trijicon RMR for the simple fact that the dot in the Vortex floats all over the place, literally moves with my breathing. I have other Trijicons and that dot doesn't move, even when you move your head, where the dot sits is where it sits.
    As far as the FNX, I have smaller hands, and it is for sure a lot of pistol, but it shoots very smoothly, haven't seen a single malfunction yet, not so much as a stove pipe. The trigger can feel spongy, especially if shooting it DA, but I keep mine C&L'd, and the SA trigger pull is very quick and smooth. I'm not a big fan of the 1911 style grip, more of a straight angle than other modern pistols I have. You get used to it, but I prefer more of an angled grip, which I also see the 545 has as well. I will be looking into the 545 for sure.
    Great job on the comparison vid!

      Thank you! I agree, the FNX is a lot of gun to handle but it is fun to shoot & reliable. Also trijicon optics are some of the best in the industry. A great optic of choice.

    Another great vid Arm Chair! I really appreciate your honest and thorough reviews. I am a big 1911 fan but decided I wanted a 45 with an optics cut and basically more tactical. Also, I don't own a FN firearm so I think I will add the FNX to my collection and put a Holosun optic on it. Thank you again!

    Nice video, but nothing compares to the FNX45 Tactical, I carry it daily, we all make choices, FN makes great guns.

    Nice review and video. Thanks for the detailed comparison. I sold my FNX45 Tactical- nice gun, but I own nicer 1911’s that shoot 45 ACP. As an alternative “modern” large caliber, I did pick up a Smith & Wesson M&P in 10mm. That, for me, is much more ergonomic than the The FNX. I have no trouble concealing the large M&P in the winter, if I wanted to.

    • @Thearmchairoperator215
      @Thearmchairoperator215  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I love the ergonomics of the M&P line. I plan on reviewing the M&P 10mm competitor at some point in the near future. I also plan on doing a vs between that & the Sig Xten

    If you could only have one which one would you pick ? I shot the fnx 45 but did not care much for it and only shot a 509 and really liked it so in 45 wouldn’t be much of a difference .
    What should I purchase?

      The FN545. It is also the only one of the two that I have currently

      My son has a 509, and it shoots great. I have a FNX that I enjoy shooting. My suggestion is to go with what you are comfortable with...

      PPQ's are known for having excellent triggers. The PPQ is being phased out for the newer PDP which isn't available in .45 afaik. Not sure if PPQ has an optics ready version.

    How do you think the G21 stacks up to the 545? I can’t seem to choose between the two of them

    • @Thearmchairoperator215
      @Thearmchairoperator215  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That’s a great question! I don’t have a G21 at the moment but if I were to guess, I would pick the 545 Over the G21 for a couple of reasons, 1. 545 has better sights out of the box, 2. The 545 has better ergonomics, 3. The 545 has a better trigger. The pros for the Glock are, 1. aftermarket support. Glock accessories are more plentiful, cheaper, & easier to find. 2. The G21 is cheaper than the 545. Both brands are known for being very reliable. So my advice would be to find a range where you can rent both, try them out, & see which one best suits you and your needs.

      @nolagospeltracts8264 ปีที่แล้ว

      545 more than double the price of the G21. Not really a fair comparison. own the Glock 41.

    • @Edmondson_Avenue
      @Edmondson_Avenue 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ok I'm here, the G21 comes stock and ready to fight straight out of the box at an average price of $600, Truglo TFX PRO $129, maritime spring cups, GHOST INC.
      6.0 LB. EXTRA POWER FIRING PIN SPRING $3.49 GHOST INC.
      6.0 LB. TRIGGER SPRING $3.49, GHOST INC. Edge connector $24.95 Alpha Wolf threaded barrel for G21 $114, Vickers Tactical Extended Magazine Release GMR-004 $18.24, Vickers Tactical Slide Stop $21.56, NDZ 24LB GUIDE ROD ASSEMBLY $18.69, Pearce Grip Magazine Base Pad Glock $7.99 , +4 for 49.95 or
      KRISS
      MagEx2 Extension Kit for Glock Magazine SKU:KVA-MX2K45BL00 for $32.99.
      So everything with a 2rd mag extension is $956.43.
      With the 50rd is $998.39.
      With the Vector mag $981.43.
      All three mag is $1,039.37
      What do you gain? A reliable underwater Glock, with the best day/night sight, 3lb trigger, fully supported chamber, threaded barrel, 24lb recoil spring for maximum lock 🔐 up for maximum pressures and velocities, tactical mag release and slide stop ✋ stronger striker spring to hit harder primers.
      And just to go a step further you can take $50 and high polish all the major internals bringing you to a grand total of $1,089.37 vs $1,139.
      You will have a better pistol overall there only few other things that you can do you could do and that is switching to titanium internals and to a Timney Alpha trigger or wait for Glock to release it's performance trigger for the G21 but other than that these upgrades gives you a boss Glock that also can chew a regular diet of .45super, the stock Glock can do this too but you have to be careful because of the looser chamber tolerances and that 17lb OEM recoil spring. .45SUPER will eventually beat a stock Glock up over a period of time, and if you're reloading you're really risking a kaboom with a stock Glock barrel and reloaded ammunition.
      I'll put this upgraded Glock up against any stock or upgrade FNX 545 or FNX .45 Tactical I guarantee it will hold it's weight and more!
      Lastly most of the people raging about the Glock grip angle are non shooters!
      There's nothing wrong with the Glock grip, there's something wrong with the way that you're gripping the Glock's grip!
      But yes the FNX 545 beats a stock Glock 21, but not the upgraded G21.
