I loved the one where Opie had a crush on Helen and Barney (not knowing it was Helen) pulled out his book of poems, had Opie call his "girlfriend" on the phone and Barney would recite one line at a time with his hand over the phone and Opie would repeat it to Helen. When Helen finally asked if someone was there WITH him, Opie said "Nobody, just Barney". Well when Opie left to go and see Helen (she asked him if he could come right over") the phone at the Sheriffs Office rang and Barney answered and Helen went volcanic on him! Don Knotts ALWAYS could make me laugh with those faces of his. What a GREAT show that was and I still watch it weekdays/weeknights on TVLand from 4 pm to 8 pm.
Just watched some of these again & I love all the actors. Watching Ron's acting & realizing just how talented he was at such a young age then as Richie . I grew up watching him & the movies he's produced. He's really had a huge impact on most of our lives. Of course all the actors did but I'm most impressed by Ron. He's always exuded wholesome kindness, gentleness & major talent. Glad he decided to share his work & life with us . Love those good clean shows. Much respect to them all. Miss those days.
Andy and Peggy ...perfect together ..loved the beautiful song they sang on the front porch Peggy came to cook for Andy and Opie whilst aunt Béa went out of town à few days !!!❤
They took Peggy off the show because she was to well dressed and preppy for what they were trying to get out of the show, I liked her too, I thought Helen was a b on the show
@@kevinsalyers690Joanna Moore/Peggy is rumored to have had an affair with Griffith before the Helen character/Aneta came about. Also, she was an alcoholic and was addicted to drugs. She was the mother of Tatum O'Neal, from her marriage to Ryan O'Neal. She was such a beautiful woman and I loved her acting, but she was just really messed up in real life, sadly
I didn’t like the way she would get overly angry about little things. I’m not sure if the directors made her do that or if that’s how she thought she should play it. But it always made me not like her as much as I could have. Andy’s best girlfriend was Peg. Tatum O’Neals mother. They should have kept her as his love interest. She was absolutely beautiful.
Pretty sure that was the writer's choice. Andy also got jealous and petty, like when she had that male teacher friend visiting. Of course, it was because of other characters convincing him to be worried.
Mark, I completely agree. Anita was attractive and a great actress, but I always thought the Helen Crump character was a bit acidic! Especially the first episode she was in where she reads Andy the riot act over the misunderstanding about the boys not wanting to study history. Again, she was a great actress, but Helen Crump never appealed to me. Peggy however was beautiful, more domestic and charming. Her character was far more attractive in every way.
The best Helen moment came in an episode with Ernest T. Bass. When Barney starts spouting off how he is going to take care of Ernest T., she replies "He'd kill you!"
I guess my favorite is where he and Helen get trapped in the cave and when they find a way out, they find out Barney has gotten a team together to dig them out. They feel bad and crawl back in and get saved so to speak by Barney and then everyone calls him a hero. And you know how Barney acts when that happens. Loved it.
That's one of my favorite episodes, too! Another favorite was when Barney bought that used car from an elderly woman. Oh - and the one where Barney was supposed to sing a solo and had a terrible voice...LOL!
@@goosewhisperer6275 I heard/read that that was AG’s favorite episodes with Don Knotts’ favorite being ‘The Pickle Story’. Loved them both. Loved ALL of the black and white episodes! Love & Light from Miami Shores🦚✌🏼 Stay safe mate🌎🙏🏼
And Opie, the Birdman, it just came to me bc I remember it was Opie raising the chicks after the accidental death of their mother in his tree & the Mr. Malcolm -the British man servant- was cool too :)
I still love watching The Andy Griffith Show. One of my favorite episodes was when, Andy needed $25 for a fishing license and Barney thought it was for a marriage license. Hahahaha
My favorite with Helen was when Barney mistakenly sees the two of them ( Helen and andy ) in the jewelry store and is sure their getting engaged. Aunt Bea redecorated the bedroom, they throw an engagement party 🥳 hilarious!!
Helen Crump was my LEAST favorite character in the whole run of this WONDERFUL show. I never liked her character...so either the writers wrote her as an angry, cold and jealous person or it's how she chose to act it. Either way, our household never warmed up to her. Of all the love interests written for Andy, my favorite was and still is Miss Ellie. She was in the cast and sang beautifully in my all time favorite episode, the Christmas episode. I never, ever tire of this show ❤️
@corinne cardoza I'd have to agree 100%!!! I thought Helen was a high maintenance quick tempered single woman that didn't really fit the folksy theme of the show. Miss Peggy and Ellie Walker were both more suitable wives for Andy Taylor.
@@coolbear6441 Yes me too! I just happened to catch it on 26.2 tv in Chicago, 7:30 am, last month while flipping channels & caught very start & I still LOL'd.😂
I had no idea they had a romance off screen. I can see how it would happen however. I liked all of the characters in this show. I think it should be shown in schools these days to teach children how they should behave and get along with others. The world could use a little of this now.
@@BayleeB- You just saying “Fact!” doesn’t necessarily make what you said a fact. Where did you hear that Aneta got Joanna Moore (Peggy) fired? That makes no sense. I don’t believe that and I won’t believe it until I hear or read it from a reliable source. Joanna Moore was given a contract to be in 4 episodes in season 3 in the fall of 1962. She appeared in the 4 episodes and that was it. Aneta first appeared on the show in mid-season 3. Joanna was already gone by the time Aneta arrived. Aneta was only supposed to be in one episode. But the big wigs were impressed with her acting and Andy was impressed with her so she stayed on the show because Andy said so.
My second favorite is when Barney and Floyd are trapped in the cabin at the lake with the escaped female convicts. The one gruff female makes Barney dance with her, Floyd is so funny in this episode, too!
laura c Floyd was very funny in that episode, Barney reminded one prisoner of her old b/f Al and started calling him Al, as did Floyd, "Better watch it Al" , all time favorite show by far. My mom found a 8x10 picture with frame of Andy and Opie walking down the dirt road from the beginning of the show,, after fishing, hangs in my garage by fishing poles, makes me whistle.
another funny episode is barney giving goober dating tips. while barney and goober are spying on andy and Helen from the window, andy goes in for a kiss and goober jumps up and down yelling "they're doin it, they're doin it". so damn funny !
I missed that one...sounds like a doozy! I watch the show late-night and I will be on the lookout for it. Barney giving dating advice! The Southern Don Juan!
The Andy Griffith show is one of my.favorite shows. I saw the show for the first time in 1962 .Andy and Helen made a great couple on the show. Same as Barney and Thelma. But all of them have passed on. Which is so sad. It's like they should still be with us. And Aunt Bee. I don 't mind reading about how Andy and Helen lived off the screen .But their private life should have just remained that , private.
@@lourenalittle9985 I read that thelma lou was originally cast to be andy's gf after elinor donahue left after first season due to probs with andy griffith.

No. He was worse than most "flawed people." A shame. I wish I had never started reading about him - one of my childhood heroes. I should have left it alone. LOL
Andy Griffith would have been the first to admit that. "I have many failings. My son died of an overdose when he was 36. I was not a good father to him. So I have failed in many ways. I am a man, like any other man."
@@julieking7610 I guess, but people reconcile and it would have been no question and no hope for their marriage if he and aneta got married . But what i wonder about is why they fidnt marry later since they stayed friends so long. There I'd probably another reason. Maybe she had a secret love later, or who knows. It could be any reason.
Yeah but she still slept with another woman's husband, so the rational doesn't make to much sense, but he seemed to be more in love with her than his wife at the time, and he still loved her years later after they weren't anymore.
Not condoning anything, but supposedly, his wife wasn't that 'sweet'. They had been having martial problems for years. His wife supposedly was an alcoholic. Andy may have also been an alcoholic. I'm not sure. I had read an article about them, years ago.
Smart woman, she obviously realized that since he was cheating on his wife by having an affair with her, and she ended up marrying her, he would also cheat on her also, that's what cheaters do! Why marry him!
Well she wasn't innocent. If someone will go out with a married man they would cheat on their husband if the opportunity presented itself just right. Just saying.
That's not it, she simply had a reputation and didn't want to be seen in a bad light. Divorce wasn't such a common thing back then, he would have divorced clearly and remarried but probably due to the times stuck it out unless he had a reason like remarriage to leave. All this judgement seems odd considering the divorce rates in our culture. It wasn't right of him, but understandable in a toxic relationship. His wife probably even knew where they stood, I don't know that it was a behind her back type issue, but due to their positions in society mutually stuck it out in a loveless marriage.
@@mungous1000: Frankly, I think Thema-Lou was pretty attractive, but I don´t think Andy Taylor would´ve screwed his cousin´s girlfriend. Andy Griffith might, but not Andy Taylor.
I loved the episode when Andy and Helen tried to slip away for a romantic day in the woods and Barney kept showing up. I love how Andy playfully tussled her hair. It was a cute moment between them.
i have to agree. this was one of those RARE episodes where helen didn't fly off the handle over some stupid situation. as a result, it kept the focus on barney's antics which made this episode one of the best for this series.
I never understood why they chose Helen as Andy's love interest. He was so terrified of some female trapping him into marriage and he chooses Helen who was a jealous, controlling, "you know what". I always liked Peggy the best.
@@debbiesiehr8658 Yes mam. Ellie was my pick too. Pleasant, youthful, spunky, thoughtful and just right in her feisty moments, pretty and had a job that fit her right into Mayberry. I know she got worn out and maybe other issues and needed a personal break but why not write her out for a while so she could have her needed break and simply say she left to care for a sick relative and would return later? This could also have shown her caring, gentle side and bring her back a little more settled so Andy could reignite her happy go lucky person that she was.
I never knew that they had an off-screen romance. The actors did have chemistry and an apparent high level of regard for each other, which is understandable now that I’ve seen this video.
Yeah well Griffith's wife wasn't very happy. The two actually had a fist fight after the affair, and Mrs. Griffith reportedly busted Andy's arm with a claw hammer!
@@cathyheston3029 , yes true. There was one or two episodes of the show where Andy actually had a cast on his arm; that cast was the result of a woman scorned!
I enjoyed this show so much, but there's a part of me that is sickened by the fact that seven children and their mother were left because of an affair. It's sad that so little regard is paid to the family who most likely suffered a great deal from the loss of their head of household. I suppose we're supposed to think of this actress as doing the right thing by not marrying this man to possibly save her own reputation.
There were probably more problems within the marriage than just infidelity as many marriages can & do over come that. People that worked with them both said they'd been squabbling a lot prior to his cheating. He may've strayed because they weren't getting along & he was already unhappy. Then again who knows maybe his wandering is the reason for the fighting. And stardom itself could have something to do with it. Women will throw themselves at him full well knowing he was married. But I'm with you I don't like seeing children or spouses suffer due to infidelity but it sounds like they might've had some issues prior to that. Sometimes splitting up can be the best thing for all involved including the children especially if they're witnessing a lot of bickering.
The dramatic sequence when the boys in her class showed no interest in learning history. It was Andy who gave the boys inspiration in studying history with some exaggerations like the "shot heard around the world.". It took Helen by surprise with the boys showed enthusiasm for studying historical facts. She complemented Andy at the sheriff's office.
I was siting in my Dr's office awaiting an appt when I picked up a copy of PEOPLE magazine and thumbed through to find at the back a single listing about Aneta Corsault's passing. It was a simple two shot of them sitting together on the set. Funny how something so simple can forge a memory. Almost 26 yrs removed.
I am also disappointed to hear that Andy had an actual affair, but, remember that he is human and none of us are perfect. I never had an affair, but was divorced and remarried and still married to my second wife for 30 years. I can understand people making one mistake, but have a difficult time understanding how some people get m and d three or four times. I am always pleasantly surprised when I look up a celebrity, like Deborah Norville and find that she is still married to the first person. She was married in 1987.
I still love Andy, he was painted on the show as a super good guy. We all make mistakes and I’m not mad at Andy at all. I love Andy and the show. He’s human and we all make mistakes.
@@Stewieboy1995 Let's not chalk up what Andy did to being a mistake because it was not. Mistakes are unintentional. He purposely and intentionally had an on-going affair, while married, and even so much as propose to her. That's not a mistake, sir. I absolutely love the show, but don't love what he and Ms. Corsaut did.
@@mrsmorgann0000 I think it’s tame compared to these celebs nowadays who hardly have any talent yet they cheat on their spouses or girlfriends or whatever and it’s in the news and it’s not even a big deal. People think it’s normal when they see it in the celeb news. Look at these celebs they’re cheating and it’s all over media and people hardly care. These celebs actually have no class whatsoever or any talent at least Andy had talent. Look at the basketball players with the Kardashians, triston Thompson or something. @@mrsmorgann0000 what makes you think all married couples are happy together, many married couples are miserable and even sleep in seperate bedrooms. Some couples tolerate each other until the children are grown and then they go their seperate ways. Some marry too young while others marry the wrong person. People do make mistakes. If you were not with them 24/7 and watched every move you have no idea what is happening. Maybe the Mrs did not care what he did because she may had her own lifestyle. I am happily divorced. "IT'S ME, IT'S ME!!! IT'S ERNEST T.!!!" The episode were Ernest T. became a student of Helen Crump, developed a crush, and started stalking her. Only we didn't call it " stalking" back then.
I read many years ago they had an affair but with Hollywood being what it is figured it was really somewhere between being totally false and a career ending scandal!
I just watch " The Blob " on DVD yesterday morning and never even recognize her. I usually Google a movie after I watch it but just hadn't gotten around to it. And I've watched ever " Mayberry " multiple times. One of the best shows ever made. At least in the eyes of this old North Carolina boy.
I didn't like Andy with Helen. I preferred Elsinore Donahue. I always thought they could have married the characters and had enough sparks and down home humor and kindness to make many years. Eli was great with Opie and Aunt Bea and Barney. I always felt Helen was cold and a little high strung. I am the same age as Ron Howard so I've seen the show from several vantage points. For what it's worth.
No that wouldn’t have happened. Andy took responsibility for the no chemistry. Elinor had been working 7 years strait and as a mother of a 3year old needed the break.
For me, with Elinore Donahue, it just did not seem believable as she was and looked so much younger than he. Like he was an old man dating a college coed. It was actually creepy when she was playing the role of his girlfriend.
@@marymagdalene3004 In my opinion , she didn't look "That" much younger than him . Though I must admit that I didn't enjoy her character as Andy's girlfriend all that much 😒 .In my opinion , they should have kept the county nurse ( Miss Peggy) in the story line as his girlfriend . I think A.G. had much more chemistry with her than Ellie . Furthermore I found Miss Peggy to be much more attractive & she seemed like the kind of woman that would have made a better wife & Mother for Sheriff Andy Taylor and his son Opie 😏😏 .
I always respected Andy until I was dining at a popular restaurant on Nag's Head Island, NC. A little girl, maybe 10 or 12, approached Andy while he was eating for an autograph, I was too far away to hear what he said but he made her cry and she got no autograph. I loved the show but that experience put some question marks on my concept of Andy Griffin.
Their first personal relationship depth was exposed when one of the directors came to Andy's hotel room and realized Andy & Aneta were playing more other parts than school teacher and sheriff......lol
I liked the TV romance of Andy and Helen. It made the show more interesting. Also Helen was very easy on the eyes. I meet Anita in California. We were the same age, with me being 2 months older. She allowed me to have a picture taken and she gave me a small respectful hug and thanked me for being her fan. About then Andy came up to me and demanded the film in the camera. We almost came to blows. Anita tried to calm him down. The guards arrived and Andy ordered them to get the film. I refused to give it up and I was escorted from the property. I thought Anita was cool, but Andy made a jerk out of himself in front of the whole tour group. The only reason I still watched the show was because of Anita. I still have the picture.
@@andywinslow9638 There are a couple of episodes where he is wearing a cast on his wrist when he put his fist through the wall. He was mad about something, but I forgot what it was. You can probably find it on the internet somewhere.
Someone who collected a record number of celebrity autographs was interviewed by someone in the media. He was asked who was the nicest and who was the meanest celebrity he encountered. He said Sean Connery was the nicest. Andy Griffith was the meanest. I remember how surprised I was to hear that. This was in the 1980s.
I was very pleased that the two were friends after the Andy Griffith show. I was also glad that they worked together on other television shows. Most of all it was great that they remained friends.
I spoke to her once and I mentioned how I never liked the way her character was written, and she said neither did she. She was a great lady and very kind to me on the phone.

If everyone else knew, I'm sure his wife knew. They would have to be pretty ignorant to think she didn't. Back in those days you didn't divorce, it wasn't acceptable.
One of my favorite episodes is the "Fun Girls". I always liked how Helen always stood her ground and spoke her mind. She held her authority in the classroom without being a tyrant and at the same time she enjoyed looking very pretty.
I love the Andy Griffith's show. I love all the characters but Otis is my favorite. I like how he locked 🔒 himself up before he became a menace to Mayberry🤣
Pretty much like this one. I love reading the life story about the celebrities we watch. To know how they grew up, where are they are now, tension on the set, personality good and bad. Thanks again. 😊
Thanks for a great video about Aneta Corsaut, I always like seeing her on the Andy Griffith Show. Those piercing eyes, so gorgeous. Also, I was wondering, Facts Verse, if you'd consider doing a look into the 50's-60's TV actress Judy Meredith (aka Judy Boutin) who was discovered by George Burns and began her career on the George Burns and Gracie Allen (television) Show. An aspect of her career I find most compelling is that despite being born and raised in Oregon, it wasn't until she adopted a Texas accent/personality on the show that she was offered a contract by Universal Studios and would go on to play a lot of roles in westerns such as Wagon Train and Bonanza. She even appeared on The Ozzie & Harriet Show, and she would eventually marry TV and film director, Gary Nelson. Just this little bit I know of her makes me find her very intriguing, and I absolutely loved her on the Burns/Allen show as "Bonnie Sue McAfee."
As a boy I would watch AGS reruns off and on with my grandma who would often say "That's a good clean show". Funny, because I never appreciated AGS as much as I do now that I too am in my 50's! That in itself is a tribute to how well the show has held up over time. Of all of Andy's girlfriends on the show Helen had the most well-rounded character. My favorite episode featuring her is one where Andy's "cousin" encroaches on his and Helen's relationship. Her red hot jealousy seemed very convincing.
Rights and liberty cannot be taken, only given away and surrendered. A serious mindshift for those who believe otherwise is necessary. We're dealing with the same spirit that accompanies tyranny and precedes genocide. It's bewildering to me how many people are walking lockstep with the false narratives being used to usher in the "Great Reset". This will not end well...People are slaves, full blown slaves, and like a house slave, they will continue to say that you are slave too, and get upset if you feel or act otherwise, but the slave that they want you to be now. Anyone heard of Stockholm Syndrome? I suggest google that. This is what we see now. 95% of the population refuse to see or don't care to look inside their soul. This type of government emerges throughout history with regularity where the citizens abandon personal responsibility for autonomous, self-regulation. I have NOT surrendered MY liberties. Never Will. My favorite episode is when Ernest T Bass falls in love with Helen the teacher. And he needs to get an education for Romania to accept him as her boyfriend. So he sits in Helen's classroom acting a fool. It's just Hilarious!
Don't hate me for saying this. I don't truly blame Anita for Andys Split. She was willing to say he's married and not hurt his wife. Andy made a promise to his wife he didn't honor. There's no excuse. But she still knew he was married so I'm not letting her off easy.

I still love watching The Andy Griffith Show. One of my favorite episodes was when, Andy needed $25 for a fishing license and Barney thought it was for a marriage license. Hahahaha
Thanks for watching!
I still watch, one of my favorites.
You ought to check out Allan Newsome's podcast on Monday Nights on TH-cam. It is dedicated to The Andy Griffith Show.
I just watched that! Too sweet and funny.
Like why would Barney care if Andy got married or not?? Obviously a woman writer. Oh yea.
My favorite with Helen was when Barney mistakenly sees the two of them ( Helen and andy ) in the jewelry store and is sure their getting engaged. Aunt Bea redecorated the bedroom, they throw an engagement party 🥳 hilarious!!
My favorite episodes of the show in general are those where Barney mistakenly thinks Andy and Helen are getting married. There are several. So funny!
Yes those were the funniest. And how Barney reacted at the end of them. That was the best part of it.
I watch the reruns all the time! Great show!
@@eccrawford7759 I agree. Thought Ellie was perfect for Andy. Helen was a good looking woman, but something cold about her.

Maybe she was wise enough to know, if you cheat on one spouse, you'll cheat on them all.
"If he'll do it FOR you, he'll do it TO you."
That’s true but she was sinful also to have had the affair.
She was smart enough not to have children. That gets my respect.

As you probably already know, this was Floyd's last appearance before his stroke.
Floyd refused to be responsible for burned hamburgers.
Floyd should have stayed in town instead of going back to the cabin
laura c Floyd was very funny in that episode, Barney reminded one prisoner of her old b/f Al and started calling him Al, as did Floyd, "Better watch it Al" , all time favorite show by far. My mom found a 8x10 picture with frame of Andy and Opie walking down the dirt road from the beginning of the show,, after fishing, hangs in my garage by fishing poles, makes me whistle.
Loved that one, too. Floyd Lawson was a gem !
another funny episode is barney giving goober dating tips. while barney and goober are spying on andy and Helen from the window, andy goes in for a kiss and goober jumps up and down yelling "they're doin it, they're doin it". so damn funny !
I missed that one...sounds like a doozy! I watch the show late-night and I will be on the lookout for it. Barney giving dating advice! The Southern Don Juan!

She wanted to be. She just didn’t want to be seen as that.
She was the other woman but Griffith was able to find a reason for divorce without her help.
The Andy Griffith show is one of my.favorite shows. I saw the show for the first time in 1962 .Andy and Helen made a great couple on the show. Same as Barney and Thelma. But all of them have passed on. Which is so sad. It's like they should still be with us. And Aunt Bee. She didn’t want to be seen as “the other woman that broke up Andy’s marriage”...? So not marrying him would make that less true? 🤨🤷♀️

Yeah but she still slept with another woman's husband, so the rational doesn't make to much sense, but he seemed to be more in love with her than his wife at the time, and he still loved her years later after they weren't anymore.

Well she wasn't innocent. If someone will go out with a married man they would cheat on their husband if the opportunity presented itself just right. Just saying.
She also probably didn’t want to be a home wrecker.
@@keithhines4515 but she was!

Hi

I love all of them I'm watching it now😳😳🥺🥺💔💔
She was such a beautiful person and a wonderful actress I did not know she had passed away. May God rest her soul in peace.
Showbiz actors don't always live up to our off screen expectations. Just enjoy.
She was a very good actress, and will forever be remembered as Helen Crump the rural school teacher of Mayberry, N.C. 👍 😉
RIP Aneta 😔
My favorite episode is when Ernest T Bass falls in love with Helen the teacher. And he needs to get an education for Romania to accept him as her boyfriend. So he sits in Helen's classroom acting a fool. It's just Hilarious!
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for this, Grunge🤟
Don't hate me for saying this. I don't truly blame Anita for Andys Split. She was willing to say he's married and not hurt his wife. Andy made a promise to his wife he didn't honor. There's no excuse. But she still knew he was married so I'm not letting her off easy.
Good. Someone n my range of thinking. She slept with a MARRIED man and contined to see him. He also, n the wrong. But of course, everyone will think otherwise here..
@@spookygirl7761 All of this is common place in the movie business possibly more than any other line of work. Married male stars screw leading ladies etc... Bob Hope, members of the Rat Pack, John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara. The list goes on. It's either an occupational hazard or a perk of the business which ever way you choose to view it.
@@kevinblythe2192 you're right. Sad.
Andy's first wife died of alcoholism, like the old Charlie Rich song, nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors.
Damn Andy Griffith, you were a piece of art. Were.
Funniest espisode when Helen made a mistake on opues grades making Andy think Opie got s straight A report card and he bought him a new bicycle.
I am disappointed in him. He was one of my childhood idols. I thought his morals would be better than that. Oh i guess he was only human after all.
Same here.
He was a star! Fame is a powerful and that is what women love. It is hard for famous men to resist women that throws themselves at them.
As are we all...sigh...

I thought she over acted her angry roles and the writers made her seem petty and jealous.
I agree with you on that. In the Bonanza episode she was in she overacted when she was telling her father off.
@@christinegruenberg3120 yah, it looked like she was trying too hard for an emmy or something. poppa!poppa!
She had me convinced she was a real life “witch” when she shifted into that gear!
Absolutely, she was not a good actor for the the scenes that called for just disappointment
I always thought that an intelligent, educated woman like Helen should be above petty jealousies. Now Thelma Lou was another matter!
I love Steve McQueen so much.
My friend used to date him.
What an awesome man. A true All American man.
I used to get all googly-eyed when they were together.
What a timeless, fabulous, reflection of our United States ( it just happened to be set in a medium sized town in rural North Carolina) ! THE SHOW IS STILL A+++ Rated in several categories-- because of its excellent Depiction of real life, with a lots of comic relief and Excellent Actors and Actresses and the adorable, realistic, talented Child Actor, Ronnie Howard......Plus that wonderful, extraordinary Don Knotts!!!!!! Thanks Andy Griffin and Aneta__________/ Miss Helen Trump, and all of your fabulous, so very talented cast members! May we all Rest In Peace, hearing that wonder voice of “Goober” ( Jim Nabors) singing “You’ll Never Walk Alone”! In that small Mayberry, USA Church surrounded by love and people who represented much of America’s best, Flags flown each day in front of “The Court House”, “ The Schools” , and many resident’s houses, and ,😊, “The Jail”. What an incredible T V Show! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️‼️
He was one of my favorites. Had a crush on him big time. I was 13 at the time.
there are so many great episodes from this show. has anybody noticed how it seems that most of these sitcoms from the 60's seemed to decline after they went from black and white to color. part of that could be due to the fact that the shows had already been running for a few years. anyway one of my favorite episodes is the one i think it was titled 3 wishes for opie. a true classic.
the earliest tv shows taught morals and values but that seems to be out the window now.
That episode is my favorite too!
The wish episode is pretty hilarious.
I watch the show all the time, but when I see a color episode, I turn it off.
@@rickheagerty5483 same here.
"he couldn't help himself" puhhhhleaseeee lol
Hi. Nice video. My mom is a Corsaut. Her great grandpa was Aneta Corsaut’s uncle. Keep up the good work
I loved her character on the show. Wish I had seen the spin off where they got married. I'll have to search for it!
It was not really but 1 episode and maybe part of another. MAYBERRY RFD
They never show that episode.
Everytime I eat lunch during my lunch break at work I watch Andy Griffith on Amazon prime lol
Thanks for watching!
@@FactsVerse thanks for showing
First time I ever saw her was in the 1950's space thriller The Blob!! She looked pretty young in that....
So pretty!
She was also in a Bonanza episode and Adam falls for her.
@@tomryan914 o
I ,
@@christinegruenberg3120 So she must have died, loving a Cartwright is the kiss of death for a woman.
Believe it or not, but there was a high school teacher where I went to school named Mrs. Crump! She was one of my favorite teachers!
Fun stuff, thank you so much for sharing your life story! What other types of video would you like to see?
2:04 "The two remained close until Aneta's death in 1995. Andy worked with her again a couple times and they always remained friends." WHAT? WHAT! WHAT? WHAT! 😑
No respect for Andy Griffith. Just an actor
I remember she was a judge on matlock once.
His wife must have been thrilled
@@AutumnMoonlight95 And perplexed. I've heard of necrophilia but .......
She was one of my favorites on the show. RIP
My favorite episode or rather one of them was the magic lamp & the 3 wishes. The ending was great!
Favorite moment: Helen becomes outraged when Andy refers to their relationship as her "running" with him. He was jealous or something. She made him feel really tiny. ♥️ I love this show and the many eccentric small town characters.
Every liked that character Helen Crump😬
Never liked the character Helen Crump🙃
That moment made us so uncomfortable. "Helen's" hard, hateful tone of voice and that dialog did not belong in Mayberry!
Was at the Outer Banks of NC at Duplin Vineyards that morning when the local radio station announced that Andy Griffith had died after the heart attack. His family buried him that same day. Weird.
I always thought Aneta was so lovely, so confidant and played her character so nicely. I didn't know they ever had a relationship, that is kind of sad that they loved each other but couldn't be together completely. I always loved the Andy Griffith show!
How disappointing to learn he was a flagrant adulterer. Yet he sang Gospel music like a pious man with a clean conscience.
i love that show thanks.
I just loved her. I wish her and Andy would have gotten married. I was shocked when I heard she passed away.
She would not have him, just wanted to play & never married.
Andy & Helen got married on the show. They even had a baby, (Sam?) Those are the episodes that are never shown on ME TV or Sundance.
@@nadyarossi5102 They had a baby?! Whoa, I need to find those episodes. Regarding Roselyn's comment, I think she meant in "real life". She wished Andy and Aneta would have married in real life.
A favorite is the scene in which Andy said to Helen: You don't lie to me, and I trust you. But you don't trust me, so I have to lie to you.
That's true in life.
that's some messed up logic.
The actress that played Howard's date (don't remember her name ), is on the video for a few seconds starting at 2:48. I wish they would have made her a regular--her character had a sweet disposition. It's the episode where Howard and his date stayed overnight at a cabin with Andy and Helen. Helen became very jealous when Andy and Howard's date/girlfriend got lost in the woods together.
Joanna McNeil
Didn’t she go out with goober too ?
@@mariec4275 Thought it was Arlene Galonka..........
How interesting. The more I find out about Mayberry, the more I love it.
Jolly old town💕
I love that show Barney was a hoot...1 bullet Barney !!!!
Its sad their all gone now.. grt show!!!! I watch it all the time. .
The only living cast member is Ron Howard.....
@@kaykiessling5029 I know ❤️
@@kaykiessling5029 It is sad that most of them are gone.. 😞 Thelma Lou is still alive... 💕 I think the only other one still living is Ellie Walker the pharmacist (who was only in one season..)
I loved when Helen had to dance with Goober 😂
When I was watching the show way back when, Helen and Andy just looked like they fit together better than any other two people on the show. They were meant to be together just for a little while.
Rumor had it that Andy was plugging her during filming breaks, then going home and arguing with his wife all night.
