Arctic Twister Soft Serve Ice Cream Mixer Demonstration

- This set was a lot of fun! I paid $4 for it at a sale and it was never used. When I first purchased it, I thought it was an ice cream maker and it turns out it is a soft serve ice cream server. Just put in a scoop of ice cream, add 2 Tablespoons of Mix-Ins, then a scoop of ice cream and continue until the chute is filled. Then crank the handle to push the plunger down a few clicks. Turn the motor on and continue ratcheting the plunger until your ice cream extrudes out of the chute. The first batch the ice cream was way too soft and once I changed up my system, it worked great. It also handled all of the different mix-ins i put it, without breaking them up. The did say 1-2 Tablespoons, which would possibly signal to chop it up? What fun is it having to chop it all? I just through it in and it worked surprisingly good.
This video is intended for parents to help them make an informed decision about purchasing the item shown in the video. Many of these products are vintage and the videos are documenting the product for future generations to watch and learn about.

Interesting, it does work. And I think putting the twister and the dispenser in the freezer beforehand would help in a hot environment.

Interesting machine...and fun I suppose.... but I can achieve the same thing, when I just stir up my bowl of ice cream, then add things to it.....don't need a machine for that. HOWEVER, for a kid's party, I can see where this would be fun!

I can only speak for myself but I believe his most popular videos over time were maker videos and I know I stopped watching for a good while because he was doing mostly non-maker videos and weird products with Butch and his daughter. His classic maker videos are IMO the best. I do miss the list of skip times though.
Because TH-cam took more control of my subscribers. They say maybe less then 1% of my subs even know that I posted a video! That is not how it used to be. They have done so many things which they say is for helping channels, but it is more that they took more control over what everyone watches.

You definitely need to have your ice cream frozen firmly before starting it in the machine. You may need to turn up your freezer setting if your ice cream is that mooshy. I have this machine, and my cones turn out just like the box photos, but I start with well-frozen ice cream.

I have 5 racks of maker sets and ovens that I keep for my collection and hopefully for future videos. In total I have 30 racks and hundreds of bins of toys and games.

It worked! Normally I show the box. This time I wanted to show the product.
it doesn't seem that you realize what the real problem was and it was not because of the ice cream was not cold enough, it was because you used fresh fruits.
There were two main things that made the first try too runny- the first one is you use fresh fruits with a high water quantity in them, the second thing is that you didn't pump is fast enough. you need to either give up on the cone or have an extra hands to help you because you need to pump the ice cream a lot faster than what you did, at least the beginning otherwise it will all melt inside the machine because there are so much movements in it.
Try it with dried fruit or freeze dried fruits or some fruits with less water quantity in it like banana for example, I think you will find it will work a lot better. hope you tell us if I'm right and it does work.
Also I hope you did not waste all the ice cream after you washed the machine between the second and third try! because there was a lot of ice cream still in there and ice cream should never be wasted! (any food should never be wasted) anyway I hope that helped you and nice video! I've been subscribed for you for a really really really long time, I think like 5 years if not more and I always enjoy your videos!
@@sherryriley2811 also the number of subscribers is reeeeeeeeeeeally NOT how you should measure up if a channel is good here cuz then you have people like the Dolan Brothers and multiple other idiots TH-camrs who make very VERY stupid content and have millions of subscribers and then you have very good channels who have a small amount of subscribers because the algorithm is stupid. (something that even Lucky Penny Shop just said in the comments)
Seriously don't ever take the amount of subscribers as a measure to how good the channel is.
